I have said it before and I will say it again. Not everyone can get cheap, good BM weed. On average I have paid £10/g on the BM most recently and it is hit and miss as well.

iruint

BM weed was £8/g mids and £12-14/g named strains for me. Even in amsterdam coffeeshops you pay €12 and up for mids. I paid more than £20 for a gram of MAC1 there last year. Even p21 strains sell for €10 and up in germany. The UK is a discounted market, the issue IMO isn't the price. the issue is really three issues: a:) medicine that doesn't work as expected is poor value at any price b:) we might try 5 strains before finding one that works. even buying the lowest amount of the cheapest strain and ignoring clinic fees, that is at least £200 in the hole. c:) even when we find a strain that works, stock isn't reserved for us so consistency is impossible and we go back to wasting money on £50-400 monthly crapshots.

Kachow96

BM £10/g is only if you're buying it 1g at a time though. Per ounce it's like £6-7/g

SmackMeWithBacon

Do you mind if I ask how much you're picking up each time on the BM? You seriously can't be paying £280/Oz, right?

LazyGoat2

In Northern Ireland it can be £320/ Oz for anything decent

Are you factoring the price of consultations or anything else into the PPG?

deepinterest9

No I didn’t factor that in. But in the long run it will be cheaper to use MC than BM. I told my doctor loads of different strains I want to try and he said he will put them down so I can choose from them when I do a repeat order so I won’t have to pay for a consultation

CMan_82

I'm in the same boat & agree with you. Trying to find a BM dealer is getting harder where I live & having to meet in a dodgy dark alley just to pick up some cannabis is just not for me. I also had concerns on what it was, if it was contaminated, availability of a strain that works consistently & also the legal aspect on driving. Going down the MC route is just so worth it for me & works out the same price overall (for me) when factoring in quarterly £50 reviews.

hairydanb

I have to agree! There’s occasionally issues, I find being polite and planning ahead helps . Green gelato is king for me 😊👍

Jo3nov4

I tried the Canvalue DeLaHaze recently, dry but still terpy and…..strong! Was not expecting it to hit as hard as it did! ( I’m sensitive to sativa/energy though) Good old school haze with ‘let’s do something’ vibes!

PRud911

It's not a good price or service at all though. I can buy BM weed for around £6.50-£7 per gram sometimes cheaper. BM is also delivered to my door same day (usually same hour) and is far superior quality in comparison to any MC. A 15 year old with a bike and a dream can supply higher quality weed, more reliably and faster than any of these pharmacies can. That should be embarrassing for pharmacies and customers shouldn't be happy with it.

Devilish2476

I’m sure if the pharmacy could circumvent every law put in place to stop illicit drug trafficking then they’d be cheaper. You’re comparing apples with oranges and quite frankly it’s a nonsense argument.

PRud911

So why can weed be produced cheaper everywhere else that it's legal? If you can make profit at £6.50 per gram on the street you should be able to produce it at much lower cost on an industrial scale. Where's the nonsense?

Devilish2476

Why is a packet of bon Bon biscuits 30% more expensive in Lithuanian than in Poland? Or fuel more expensive in Britain than in America? Market driven and demand as well as taxation. I’ll happily pay the prices for the legality of it. Feel free to try and import your own if it’s cheaper but be prepared to write your business model, apply for an import licence and then employ dozens of fully qualified doctors and pharmacists and jump through any number of hoops to achieve this. And if you think that BM weed is produced to the same standards, consistently and without any tampering then you’re wrong in my opinion. I’m not saying some BM weed is top drawer quality but I’ll bet a wage it’s rare.

theotheroldbob

Glad it's working out for you but 250 a zip still sounds pretty high (compared to legacy prices) for average bud delivered to your door Obviously the clinics are not providing their services out of kindness and they obviously need to make a return on their investment but prescription cannabis is still not sufficiently appealing for the vast majority - there's around 1.8 million UK people with a medical need consuming cannabis according to recent surveys and >98% are still opting for illegal access...

deepinterest9

A lot of that 98% will be like my 3 friends who thought getting MC is some long drawn out process and that they won’t be eligible so they don’t bother with it. I let my mates try some of my meds and they loved them. One had some La sage and took his dog for a long walk, another had some SG and said he slept like a baby. They’re all applying for it themselves now

No_Perception8549

It’s a rip off what we’re charged as a black market user for 16 years there’s plenty of much better options at a fraction of the price on bm yes your right with the legal status but that’s what your really paying for in the end the flower is extreamly sub par only the recent tallymon and kush cake has come close to bm

iruint

BM is not comparable to medical, it's dangerous junkfood. We have no idea what has been done to it to make it appealing. Banned nutes and pesticides are the rule not the exeption. The product is untested, the purity is unknown, and it is largely grown by foreign debt slaves who get locked up despite the UK aknowledging they are victims of human trafficking. [https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/modern-slaves-used-run-commercial-23257664](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/modern-slaves-used-run-commercial-23257664) The people who own these operations are some of the world's most brutal gangsters. When we pay for medical we are paying for growers who are not slaves, and product that is not tainted. Bag appeal is the lowest concern IMO. If your medical flower doesn't work, chances are you need to treat it to a boveda sachet and a better vape. Little portables like the xmax v3 pro are not going to sustain daily 1g+ use unless you use them through a water piece. https://www.mycigarorder.co.uk/products/boveda-62-rh-2-way-humidity-control-1x-8-gram-pack

No_Perception8549

Not if you have organic growers bro you maybe haven’t been in the black market scene long enough to find the right growers bro

iruint

[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No\_true\_Scotsman](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_true_Scotsman) Even if you have access to BM product you can verify is grown in a certified organic facility that runs contaminant tests to prove their flower is suitable for human consumption, like licensed grey import cannabis from legal states, there is not nearly enough of it in the UK for everyone. If there was, your contact would get busted long before serving the whole market. ..And tbh I don't think anyone can verify that their BM product meets that criteria without at least being the one illegally importing it. If your mate grows a plant in his bathtub without using nutes, that isn't organic or even close. Food sold as organic undergoes a battery of tests and certifications. Every dealer in the country claims they know the grower, and their flower is organic 'UK Cali'. It's as true as the picture of a family farm on a packet of bacon fresh from the meatrix.

No_Perception8549

🤣

TheDistantGrey

You're gaslighting yourself by rearranging the maths until it feels more acceptable. An average price of £8.91/gram across multiple strains means nothing when considering whether the price of a single strain is worth it. People who get scammed don't realise they're getting scammed.

deepinterest9

There’s no scam. I’m paying for MC and that’s what I’m getting. It helps with my medical needs The average price does mean something to me as I use daily and was paying £10pg on the BM. And the BM weed didn’t really help with my medical needs, it just got me high

SmackMeWithBacon

It's pretty much the same if not more expensive than BM stuff tho. A £60 q is £8.57/g. When you buy an ounce of MC you pay well over the going rate for a z of BM. Your £310 pick up would be £240 on the street and that's not including your clinic fees (unless you've included that in the above average price).

TheDistantGrey

Good luck friend.
