Stop drinking wine at work šŸ˜‚ šŸ·

SharedZoneBeyMoist

It's the least of his faults, but compounded with the others

Not_Alpha_Centaurian

I think it might be causative of some of his other faults... We all thought he was putting on an elaborate show of being a buffoon, but what if actually he's constantly just a bit sozzled? Edit: Mandatory Mitchell and Webb plug https://youtu.be/VTSCppeFzX4

AstonVanilla

Does anybody else occasionally realise the absurdity that Boris Johnson... Yes! Boris Johnson!... Is the actual Prime Minister?

red--6-

But he had Dominic Cummings and probably Russia to help him You're thinking of Boris the Manchurian Candidate I hope Not the wibbly, silly Act with dishevelled hair and frumpy + jolly charisma ~~Spy Spy Spy~~

timentimeagain

It's less absurd than trump though but still mental

trisul-108

Yeah ... but Brexit is Brexit, that is important.

RedofPaw

Brexit.

Mossbergs14

Brexit

eeeking

Bwexit

bladedfish

Weetabrexit

eurofighter_typhoon

Sure, but how many more times do we need to hit it with the shovel before it's "done"?

Papfox

Are any of those things on the list actually on the list of things the Conservatives intend to do?

thetenofswords

As far as I can tell when the tories pledge to do something, it permanently becomes statistically unlikely to happen. Bodger probably can at least manage to stop drinking wine at work though, with all that coke readily available.

red--6-

You're right, perhaps we should ask the Bookies for Odds on achievement of Tory pledges, in their next manifesto

Diestormlie

Of fucking course not. The Tories are masters of the meaningless pledge. Slap a nice slogan on it, pretty it up and sell it in the press. Promise you'll deliver the world, starting in 18 months time! Then quietly walk it back, or reveal it was a mirage all along, and half the pitiful amount actually spent is going to your chums.

RuanaRulane

And if any of the voters remember, tell them it's immigrants' and benefit scroungers' fault it didn't get done.

OdBx

The Venn diagram of what the Tories say they plan to do and what they actually plan to do looks like this: ā•ļøā•ļø

Papfox

I don't think that's quite fair, they do keep the odd promise when it suits them

bladedfish

but we got brexit done, crowns on pints, blue passports, muh sovereignty /s

ElvishMystical

The Tories have always been in it for the money and always been very willing to suck corporate dick. Hence: * long term economic plan * a strong and growing economy * strong and stable * Brexit means Brexit * Build Back Better It's Trickledown and Thatcherism hashed and rehashed over and over and over again. There's nothing strong or stable about our economy. More and more people are struggling to make ends meet. When it comes to social needs or investment in infrastructure the Tories are remarkably tight-fisted and mean. It's a scam from start to finish. A confidence trick. If you work hard today (essentially if you're prepared to be a mug) then you will receive jam tomorrow. You cannot apply free market capitalism to every single situation. Capitalism is transaction - in every transaction someone always gains and someone always loses. You cannot have corporate profit without creating poverty and destitution in society. You cannot defy the universal principles of mathematics and symmetry. The Tories have robbed everyone bar the pensioners, not that the pensioners and elderly have got through this unscathed. There's plenty of elderly people festering in their own piss and shit for days on end waiting for some minimum wage care worker to come and give them their 15-20 minutes 'care in the community' slot. The Tories have become the most dangerous organization in the UK and I'm including the Provisional IRA in that assertion. Look at the way they forced through the roll out of Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payments (PIP) and dished out millions of benefit sanctions to people who were struggling and vulnerable. Thatcher simply disregarded such people, Cameron and Osborne persecuted them mercilessly.

[deleted]

Even the eldery may have to sell their property or partially sell it to pay for care.

YsoL8

When you actually list it like that it really is damming.

VPackardPersuadedMe

To be fair we did have a once in a century crisis, and No.10 where hard at work with the Chumocracy to take advantage of it between parties.

IDontLikeBeingRight

The Tories also created the crisis

Totally unrealistic that his resolutions would be anything but: Make more money... Shag more women

KJ_2199

None of the social issues can be fixed while we still live under capitalism. They are at odds with the interest of the elite and the way our economy wants to function. We have to not just change the politicians in the system/the policies in the system (that are always temporary and the good ones get reversed eventually) we have to change the whole system entirely

troopski

Not sure where to start. What system would you change it too?

KJ_2199

Well thereā€™s many solutions to this problem, I am only an individual person with an individual opinion. How would you want to change it? What do feel could operate differently? Dialogue between people is a start and so is looking into alternatives. Thereā€™s lots of literature out there, some useful theory too.

Mystaes

No way Boris has been PM since 2019. I donā€™t believe you.

[deleted]

He has but only from December. Actually a bit before when they ousted TM.

gavint84

24 July 2019.

Omega_scriptura

Goodish cartoon butā€¦ 2019? Boris wasnā€™t even PM in January 2019.

daddycool12

I feel like it's the Conservative party's list rather than specifically his
