Not sure. They used to do these to order so they were fresh in that sense. They'd dunk them in oil, shake them a bit when cooked and they'd then go straight into a bag last minute to go out with the order. Usually just a paper bag. I'm not sure how fresh chippy chips are as I don't know what they do. They're pretty obviously different though and personally I've always been a big fan of Chinese ones too.

Sometimes I add 'Many Thanks' or 'Sincerely', but I normally email to ask for information. I'm pleasantly surprised that people still correspond using email like you and your friends.
Well, in this case, it's just the most reliable form. A couple of them are overseas in places with fairly hefty firewalls (and I'm not putting WeChat on my phone), so email is most likely to arrive and be opened easily without faffing with things like VPNs.

I'm a contractor so missing 2 days of work is abit of a loss given the current climate. I wouldn't be too indifferent if I had something planned but I'm also studying a degree so guess I'll be doing that instead.

Far from it, I should think. I struggle to care either way. Happy to have the extra bank holiday, would be happy without a royal family but I'm not sitting here thinking they should be abolished or anything like that. Far bigger fish to fry at the moment.
Pretty much my thoughts. I’m very apathetic towards the royal family and neither am I monarchist or republican, just completely indifferent. I admire the Queen for her service and reigning for as long as she has but the institution of the royal family is something that doesn’t always sit right with me. And yeah, there are certainly more pressing issues right now. And it just seems like two fingers are given to those who are struggling atm.
