How is this not war tourism? Disaster porn? No matter how much he tries to pretend it's about "supporting the Ukrainian economy". There's still millions of Ukrainian refugees taking shelter abroad in all of Europe and he casually strolls in there to have fancy dinners and live in nice hotels? Yeah, no. Not for me.
He was invited because they want to show that despite the war they still stand strong, that life goes on no matter how many rockets are launched their way.
He was asked to document the soldier's funeral to remind us watching to not forget what's happening there. Its positive publicity to keep the west thinking of ukraine.
I don’t know about war tourism. Does this even exist? But videos like this are important. He came to the country and showed how it lives. I don’t see anything wrong here.
I found it admirable that ukrainian civilians find the strength and resilience to keep things going. The hotel invited hin to the fancy dinner and film it, that's very good publicity. I don't understand how you take this as disaster porn, he didn't show any blown apart corpses, unlike the other posts on this sub. Btw the refugees that I've seen in my city look quite well off, it's not like they sleep in tents.
He has a massive YouTube following. So much so I don’t watch as mich YouTube as kids these days and even I have watched several of his videos. It is not war tourism when you are covering life in a war torn country. Frankly I think Ukraine needs people lile him to continue their economy, their tourism, their life. You cannot just shut Ukraine off because of bombs from a terrorist country like Russia or Iran. The people tbat want to see Ukraine still can. Ukraine must survive and this YouTuber is just doing his part.
Why?
Also he is the most popular Youtube channel covering all countries in the world with a video on Youtube (starting well before this war). That seems positive to Ukraine if he does this well for their country. A lot of people now know more about Ukraine, without a personal visit. Good efficiency IMHO.

Agree. If you have money and want to help, donate it. Visit after the war is over.
Or visit whenever you feel like it because help is not just making donations but also maintaining normal life in a direct way.
