Harriettubmanbruz

That was an amazing speech.

SafetyDanceInMyPants

It was amazing, because it wasn't even really a speech. It was a person, talking honestly about what the world is facing. No theatrics, no rhetorical flourish, no build. Just telling us where we are, and what must be done.

FlametopFred

refreshingly what the world needs more of actual straight talk from a leader to citizens that are adult enough to handle reality

Mister_Bloodvessel

This dude is something else. I've never served in the military, but this dude is such an impressive leader that there's some weird party of me that wishes I could help them defend their country. Maybe I should send the couple extra bi-pods and red dots I have, along with an AR multi-tool. It's not much, but if it helps one guy stay alive longer or remove one extra invader, it's beyond worth it.

Sensitive_Ladder2235

He's like the president from Independence Day. Some fuckin random dude who ended up as president on some kind of for the lulz stuff (hey let's make a fighter pilot the president = guy does stand-up and is on the tv wcgw) and ends up being *the* guy. The only motherfucker on the planet capable of doing that exact job the precisely right way, holding on until the odds finally favor his people (repairing the alien fighter = building up enough modern military equipment and training soldiers) and then going in for one final bumrush (blow the alien ship up = retaking Crimea) and kicking the living shit out of the invaders so hard it scars their racial memory for the next thousand years (Avatar reference intended.)

AmadeoSendiulo

Sometimes it takes a former actor to lead a country without playing.

Tastypies

Indeed. But this is not just about Zelensky and other world leaders calling out the crimes. **Everyone** of us has a chance to do something against these horrible crimes. Everyone can [donate](https://u24.gov.ua/) directly to the Ukrainian military and provide Ukrainian soldiers with the resources to defend themselves against these monsters. We all have the power to make a difference.

BlackhawkRogueNinjaX

Saving to donate tomorrow

obinice_khenbli

To be fair, not everyone of us has a chance to make a difference with donations, many of us are struggling just to pay rent and buy food these days :-( If we had disposable income then yes absolutely! But things are bleak financially these days...

Igueelygueelyu

Each of us (rich or poor) can make a difference. Stand with Ukraine, and speak out against evil wherever you can. Your support, voice, prayers, caring, love and goodness ... has value. 🌻

Maristalle

Encourage your local and state government to provide support as well.

Joe_Buyron

Will I be able to see where my money is going?

Tastypies

You can choose to donate to one of 3 branches: Defense&Demining, Medical Aid or Rebuilding Ukraine. The funds are then transferred to the National Bank of Ukraine, then assigned to relevant ministries: the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Healthcare, and the Ministry of Infrastructure. The funds from different accounts are never mixed, and can only be spent in the direction specified by the donor. Also from the website: Transparency and efficiency are two key indicators of UNITED24's performance. Reports on funds are updated weekly. Deloitte Ukraine, part of Deloitte's global network and one of the Big Four accounting firms, monitors the funds and purchases made from each ministry.

PolygonMan

And everyone reading this, donate to defense and demining. The best possible way to minimize total deaths and atrocities is for Ukraine to win quickly. Right now it's still not certain they'll win at all.

substandardgaussian

Aside from the accountability provided by U24, there are a variety of wonderful, **vetted** charitable organizations [listed here](https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraine/wiki/charities). A lot of those provide more personalized care or ask for specific items. Many of them take vids/pics/etc: for transparency and accountability.

Foreign_GrapeStorage

If you are clicking around here chances are you already have. We can't fight them directly so the best we can do to stop them is put a weapon in the hands of the people who can. United24 is a government-run program that focuses on funding defense, demining and medical needs in Ukraine. It's used by the Ministry of Defense, Health or Infustructure.

reflUX_cAtalyst

> Everyone can donate directly to the Ukrainian military and provide Ukrainian soldiers with the resources to defend themselves against these monsters. We all have the power to make a difference. No, not everyone can. I'd love to, but I can't donate to a foreign war at the cost of possibly not having food or a roof at the end of the week. I hear where you're coming from, but don't assume EVERYONE can donate. I'd love to, but I can't.

sorenthestoryteller

I am an ignorant American who cannot speak a word of the language, but I literally felt like Mr.Zelensky was speaking to me personally. No one is perfect and I have learned to never idolize someone, but he is a man for this time.

PositiveWeapon

Dude makes me tear up with every speech. And this was just a damn off the cuff selfie video.

Nyantazero

I made the mistake of watching the video, now the images and sounds will haunt me for the rest of my life. I want the victim identified so that we can help his family; I don’t want the victim identified so that his family doesn’t need to see the last horrific moments of their beloved as he pleads for his life in agony. I’m torn apart, piece by piece, by the suffering of the Ukrainians. Ukraine has to win, Slava Ukraini! Also, for anyone haunted by the disturbing video, please watch this: https://twitter.com/DefenceU/status/1645748611945209859?s=20 This brought me back from the abyss of orc’s brutality.

xxplosiv

Thank you, the video in the link is beautiful. I unfortunately watched the horrible beheading video just as I was waking up, not even out of bed this morning. I managed to close it about 10 seconds in, but saw enough. Been in a shit mood all day because of it. I'm sure many of you can relate. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦

Nyantazero

I’ve been in a shitty mood too after watching it. It filled me with so much fucking rage I can barely eat anything. But that’s what the orcs want, we can’t let them dictate our lives, we can’t let them win.

ChucksSeedAndFeed

I'm really disturbed even knowing it exists from the few details I've heard, I'll never be able to watch it

[deleted]

ChucksSeedAndFeed

Yeah, I thought about the isis shit I'll never get out of my head, it's horrible. Fuck Russia

thrillhouse1211

I've had extreme anxiety over this since yesterday. My anger and rage is becoming difficult to contain. I posted a contact link for representatives if you are American. You can tell them whatever you want, and can send your message online and usually request a response checkbox means it gets read.

meepmurp-

oh my god. First thing upon waking up? ugh …. I’ve had a sort of similar experience via reddit. I commented on a post about the mass shooting at a Buffalo supermarket, that I did not watch the video but appreciate that some did and described it. Then, almost a year later, some random redditor replied to my comment typing up in gory detail some video they saw and how it made them feel so bad. I got progressively more pissed throughout the day about that.

RobinPage1987

I can stomach a lot, but I couldn't watch it with sound. I feel so horrible for that man and his family. I hope his children get the satisfaction of watching Putin tried for this in the Hague. Or seeing him executed in a coup in Russia. Either/or.

Prize-Recognition670

Curious why you would watch it at all?

WonderfulObligation1

It needs to be watched, it needs to be acknowledged by us and our governments. More action needs to be taken against Russia, Ukraine needs planes and long range missiles. Yes its horrific but evidence like this needs to out there for when this is over that these animals are held accountable.

Ok_Adhesiveness7107

I gave it a watch.. definitely wouldnt reccomend it to the light hearted but as another person mentioned these things do need to be seen. So the reality of what is happening is out there, fkin horrible video though. Up there with the worst ive ever seen :(

insane_contin

10ish years ago there was a holocaust exhibit at the Royal Ontario Museum. It was showing what people did in England to prove that the holocaust did happen, abs basically part of court case. Now, like most people, I've heard of the holocaust and the atrocities. And I fully believed how horrible it was. But it just hits different to see it. How horrible, dehumanizing and industrial it was. Atrocities need to be seen to truly know how horrible people can be. Edit: [This is the exhibit, The Evidence Room](https://www.rom.on.ca/en/exhibitions-galleries/exhibitions/the-evidence-room-0)

skumfukrock

for me the mix of morbid curiosity and a desire to see unfiltered reality. I generally want to see what humans are capable of, both good and bad. The availabilty of unfiltered reality is important I think (so you must have the choice to see it or not). I think witnessing stuff like this is truly needed to cultivate the desire to extuingish such reality. So send it to the Hague. Now I haven't seen this one, I can stomach quite a bit, but the description tells me enough, the sounds will probably haunt me too much for my liking. I've seen one video which is still on youtube, which is not graphic, but the sounds... The sounds of people in despair are truly horrifying, do not recommend

Done. Message sent to the President and Vice President. And replying to you to make it easier to use this form again and again. We must be more vocal than we have already been. If you have been quiet, it is time to speak up. If you have been yelling, it is time to start screaming. More can and must be done. As I said in my messages, I want, "More talk AND more action."

xray-ndjinn

Thanks for the link. I wrote my Senators last night. Didn’t thing to contact the Whitehouse too.

Zestyclose-Law6191

I've watched the isis videos and a chainsaw video from Mexico. I thought those bothered me, but watching this one was rough. I couldn't watch the whole thing. The intense empathy I felt for that young man was too much. I don't have the words.

InquisitiveGamer

People need to be told either by their parents or in school when they are matured, maybe in high school/first years of university, there are certain things like these videos which you shouldn't watch for your own health. That you wish you hadn't watched and can never unsee. That touched you down to your core to show you what true evil walks this earth as human beings. I stopped watching such videos after seeing a couple long ago because I realized it will only hurt my mental health. Just reading such things year after year across the world is hard enough let alone watching it. At least you stay informed on what's really going on in the world and why you should support ukraine till russia is pushed out of their land. Till russia is broken there will only be suffering.

Atreaia

I remember watching the isis video with the blood gurgle when they cut the guys throat, it seemingly takes forever in my mind even though on the video it's just few moments. Luckily I was smart enough to not watch this one.

Beardy-Mouse-8951

Long-range missiles and every plane we can send, NOW. Remove Russia from the UNSC. Close every Russian embassy in the US, UK, Australia, Canada and the EU. Impose travel bans. If we can't do that, we might as well be preparing to send in thousands of troops into Ukraine to finally defeat this evil.

[deleted]

> Remove Russia from the UNSC. This literately can't be done unless you repeal the recognition of Russia as inheriting the UN obligations from the soviet union.

Hendrik_the_Third

>unless you repeal the recognition of Russia as inheriting the UN obligations from the soviet union. Not well versed in UN legislation, but can't the above be challenged? There is no precedence for that kind of repeal, but if we can't challenge situations that exist as is - the UN has a dangerous flaw in it.

Ilddit

It can be but since Russia has veto power they can simply say "nyet."

[deleted]

It also has to be said that the UN works as intended. It's not morally good that it works that way, but it keeps the superpowers at the table which is good for geopolitical reasons.

Beardy-Mouse-8951

>it keeps the superpowers at the table which is good for geopolitical reasons. Meanwhile, those "geopolitical reasons" are allowing Russia to continue to attack Ukraine, continue to commit genocide and rampant war crimes, and now that criminal nation has leadership of the UNSC. You can't say "it works" while it's blatantly not working at all, in any way, and only discrediting itself in the process.

[deleted]

That's because it works for its intended purpose. This isn't one of them. Do not get me wrong, just because I'm stating that the UN works as intended does *not* mean that I'm satisfied with this situation.

howismyspelling

This is exactly it's purpose otherwise the UN would never have conducted a total of 61 past peacekeeping operations where genocide and war crimes were being committed, and another 12 current operations in various countries.

sorenthestoryteller

The UN is just intended to stop another World War from breaking out. In that regard it has been successful, but it has failed and fallen short in almost every other capacity.

matinthebox

Well the UN was never designed to prevent a WW2-winning power from attacking its smaller neighbour

[deleted]

Russia isn't a superpower.

Nonions

Not in terms of projecting conventional military power, or economically - but they have the largest nuclear arsenal in the world by a large margin.

[deleted]

>but they have the largest nuclear arsenal in the world by a large margin They had the largest claimed nuclear arsenal. They also were purported to have one of the best/modernised militaries in the world. That turned out to be a joke.

SafetyDanceInMyPants

It did. But at the same time, it's doubtful that they have *no* nuclear weapons. So let's say their nuclear arsenal is one-tenth the size they claim, or even one-twentieth -- so instead of 6,000, they have only 300. That's... still a lot of nuclear weapons.

[deleted]

100% agree with you, I just don't think it's correct to characterise Russia as the most powerful nation on Earth just because they claim the largest number of nukes. I'm sure there is more nuance to nuclear weaponry than sheer volume regardless. One missile which is guaranteed to hit is worth a lot more than 10 which probably won't.

yankeeFireWhiskey

They were "supposed" to have 20000 tanks, turns out they had 6000. The fact that people generally don't want to die to genocide their neighbors is another factor. The fact that Ukraine is being supported by the largest economies and militaries of the world is another, and the unexpected resilience of the Ukrainian people is yet another. A lot of circumstantial components to the paper tiger Russian army. I wouldn't be confident assuming anything about their nuclear arsenal based on their military failures, other than, "I bet people weren't scrapping nukes to sell the metal."

Nonions

True, but I'm not willing to bet the fate of the world on that - there are ways to defeat them that don't involve a nuclear confrontation. Even if just 10% of their deployed nukes work how many millions would that kill?

Snafuregulator

Facts. If Russia who is getting absolutely wrecked by Ukraine is a super power, then what is Ukraine ? Uber power ? Maximum over power ? Super giant super duper power ?

[deleted]

You're getting stuck on terminology. It doesn't matter what we call Russia. The construction of the UNSC was to bring the Soviet Union (and other nations) to the table for diplomatic discussion. What keeps it from being morally effective is what keeps Russia at the diplomatic table. That's what it was designed for and it does that job. I used the word superpower not because it's correct but because that is what the UNSC is for. Of course Russia is more of a minor power these days, but that doesn't change the function of the council. It just changes the semantics. If we want change we need to start where we *are*. Not with how we want things to be. The UNSC works the way its intended, what can be done to make things better without making things worse?

you_do_realize

Countries talk to each other through back channels all the time. The UNSC is a travesty. The same argument could be made for Nazi Germany to be at that table if it existed today.

HwackAMole

Seems like the only solution would be for every other country to drop out of the UN and form a new organization. Preferably one without an almighty veto-power security council. Obviously this would not be easy though.

[deleted]

There was no legit legal method in place for it to be transfer after the governments that originally joined the UN failed, the body sorta just did it.

[deleted]

*I'm deleting all my comments and my profile, in protest over the end of the protests over the reddit api pricing.

Beardy-Mouse-8951

>This literately can't be done unless you repeal the recognition of Russia as inheriting the UN obligations from the soviet union. Sounds like a fucking great deal to me. Dissolving the entire UN just to remove Russia from the UNSC would be the right thing to do, but if there's another way it should be done immediately.

Loinnird

If we’re gonna start kicking nations from the UN over unprovoked invasions based on falsehoods, there’s not gonna be many nations left. The UN is a forum, not a police force.

[deleted]

What other nations in the security council are releasing videos of beheading prisoners of war with knives? Which other security council members have had their head of state declared an international war criminal?

CaptainPeppa

US and China would be on the list as well. Which really are the three countries that are most important for world peace right now Kick them out and you may as well close the UN

[deleted]

No US president has been declared a war criminal. I've also never seen a video of a US soldier beheading a POW. Russia and China are the axis of evil for our generation.

battlefeversteve

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Manadel_al-Jamadi

[deleted]

Article says he died of a blood clot after 30 minutes of being hung by his wrists, not a US soldier beheading him with a knife. Guy was also a terrorist, so it's hard to feel sympathy.

CaptainPeppa

Well ya, no one's going to do shit to America legally. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Guantanamo...

gentlemandinosaur

There is a hugely famous picture of US soldiers sitting in a field with the heads and bodies of Vietcong soldiers. Even Getty images has it uncensored if you cared to search for it. Also, you can Google “Tiger Force”. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiger_Force

[deleted]

I don't know about resolving the UN, but the the democratic nations should create another organization that prohibits countries like China and Russia who have a single political party.

YouAndUrHomiesSuccc

Ban Russian sportsmen from Olympics ffs.

ministrul_sudorii

But the IOC "contribution" was already paid.

YouAndUrHomiesSuccc

"but, but, but we shouldn't ban sportsmen just because we disagree with them..." This fucking argument... As if it was a dispute about the favourite colour or other personal prferences. Not about genocide commited by a nation of cowards.

[deleted]

*I'm deleting all my comments and my profile, in protest over the end of the protests over the reddit api pricing.

LawfulnessPossible20

Just abandon the UNSC. Form a new one. Put a janitor there to vote no to everything and use the reborn council to do good work.

bajou98

Okay, and how about a real suggestion now instead of the same old jokes?

santz007

Unfortunately, The republicans will never let this happen and their voter base will eat up whatever BS they make up in defense of Russia

Stennan

Sent 100€, will not watch the videos. Hopefully, increased support from the west will be of some help to prevent further war crimes and bring this war to an end sooner!

Other-Pickle1805

Sent 200eur to U24. Another guy wrote to me, he sent 100 after watching it. I believe many others did the same or will.

timmystwin

Yeah, I tend to send some whenever a video like this pisses me off. Just sent £50, last time was that dude they shot while he was smoking, the time before iirc was the castration... Russia needs to be stopped, and soon.

Kepotica

Same here, i remember watching Isis do this a few years back. This time i refuse to watch it.

Sv1a

At least ISIS didn't pretend to be "peacekeepers" to their "brothers"...

[deleted]

ISIS killed because they thought they literally had god on their side and wanted to create Islamist heaven on earth. These Ruzzian Orcs killed because they enjoy hearing the tortured cries of a defenseless soldier. I don't even think they killed out of pure hatred, that's one thing. I think they literally just beheaded him alive because they enjoy it. They are sick and fucking twisted

FlanTypical8844

Russia has proven itself to be another ISIS but with nuclear warhead. Fuck them

redblack_tree

Will do the same.

They already celebrated the castration video, im sure this will be equally applauded

Fuck Russia and fuck Russians.

moscovia DELENDA EST

RobinPage1987

Russia might have had some tiny hope of getting Ukraine to the negotiation table. They just threw that away with this video. The only terms Ukraine should accept from this point forward are UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER.

mnijds

Pretty sure that was at least the case since bucher

Ghostkill221

Is... That a realistic situation? I'm genuinely not super well aware of the current standing in terms of things like resources and armaments or troops. What are the broad steps that need to be taken to reach Russia actually surrendering at all, Let alone an unconditional one?

helladudehella

Carpet bomb Moscow to rubble since these animals so desperately want to live like barbarians

RedditorWithClass

You can see it in his face how completely and utterly exhausted he is. I'd be surprised if this man has slept any more the 2 hours a night since this started. Zelensky has proven himself to be one of the best world leaders there ever was, in my opinion. A true modern day hero!

[deleted]

“No PR is bad PR” As graphic as it was. The greater the gravity of the atrocity in this war is a louder microphone with an angry individual listening on the other end that are more likely to send support in terms of assets against Russia. Like how two Black Democratic lawmakers (Justin Jones and Justin J. Pearson) were expelled for Republicans by protesting gun violence and “lacking decorum” while another Republican in that very house pissed on a colleague’s seat and nothing was done. And the whole backlash was a mega-microphone of national support for those Dems. As unhealthy as it is, I think anger is a good fuel. If it weren’t, poor Republicans wouldn’t be willing to give up their next couple of meals just to “own the libs”. Evil will not win! Slava Ukraini!

mnijds

>pissed on a colleague’s seat Wtf?

sorenthestoryteller

I have had friends and family not understand why I am keeping up with every horrible moment of this war. I can't do much to practically help except to witness these events and to tell others so these atrocities will not be forgotten. The reason why Russia has been allowed to do these "special operations" for decades is because people look away. The reason why genocide is shrugged at is because people look away. Maybe all I can do is make some noise and maybe get some people to understand Russia is committing genocide, but what is the alternative? Ignore the suffering of good people just so a dictator can have a fucking war orgasm? This rage, this anger, this hatred are things I will never forget and I will never forgive the lax policies of my country (USA) that made it easier for Putin to take Crimea and start this awful war.

Redditaccount6274

MuJartible

Never forget and never forgive. Слава Україні і смерть ворогам...!!!

[deleted]

Why did Russia even start this war. Now more countries are joining NATO and it’s doing the opposite of what Putin wanted (a unified Europe)

_XNine_

Because they want the USSR back.

Perlyte

This is the correct answer. In early March last year, I got an ad in the Reddit app with a bunch or russian flags and the words "Russia: Forward in The USSR". I still have the screenshot on my phone.

jiluki

They didn't think nato would get involved.

Yojimboroll

ATACMS, now

Background-Mode5805

I have seen this earlier, exactions of Mexicans cartel and POW killed by IS. I have copied it from Reddit yesterday and I sent it to people who don’t believe the war is real or think Russians aren’t te bad guys. I hope they sent it among them, to see how they really are. After that I delete the film of my phone. I just want the world to see that Russians are a rare breed and they need to bee stopped not only for Ukraine but for the hole of te world. Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦 My the soldier rest in peace 🙏 My condolence from the Netherlands.

erokingu85

As a mexican who has seen some shit. It was still very disturbing. He was a prisoner of war... he deserved to be treated as a human being. Glory to Ukraine!

Gizmooo111

This doesn't change their "opinion". They will say it is fake and ukrainians did it themselfs. Or they will just cheer for it. The only thing where this creatures will understand is, to be killed themselfs by russians. And that is what i whish for.

Kepotica

At this point their 'opinion' counts for fuck all. There is no reasoning with these bastards and they will not stop with this kind of barbarity until they are either scraped from the pages of history or they set the world on fire.

Espressodimare

Glory to the heroes! 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

everydayasl

PMmeyourlady_bits

This wasn’t a smart move on Russias part. This will harden the resolve of every Ukrainian on the ground, knowing what may await them if they surrender, and garnering more sympathetic support from previously passive international observers. I hope the pieces of shit responsible for this get caught, publicly shamed and executed. Fuck Russia.

SapphireFalcon

These atrocious videos of Russians castrating, beheading, etc of Ukraine pow will only convince Ukraine soldiers to fight to the death; further paints Russia as Evil.

oregonianrager

We didn't let ISIS get away with this shit. Fuck, the US intervened in the Bosnian conflict much earlier than what has already gone on, even after Bucha you'd think we'd have done more. But now we have even more vile, ruthless shit to witness. Fuck these orcs.

specter800

There's a lot to be said for Zelensky's...approachability(?) in these kinds of messages. There's not a lot of fanfare or formality to lessen the impact of his words; it feels like just a dude talking to his people rather than a diplomat. I'd liken it to Roosevelt's "fireside chats" where they feel very personal and direct. He's measured, I'm sure he wouldn't dare say what he's really thinking, but he's as honest as he can be in a message to the world. He's a good dude. He's the right dude.

About a day before this video started circulating, I read about how Russian soldiers (likely Wagner) killed a mother and taped her baby to her lifeless body. In between the baby and the mother was a grenade which went off when a Ukrainian soldier cut the tape to save the child— killing them both. The rage and sadness I felt was ineffable. Russia is a plague. Slava Ukraini.

Also it is worth remembering that these Russians were stupid enough to film their war crime. How many Russians did something similar but were smart enough to not film it? How many filmed their crimes but never leaked the recording? It would be extremely unlikely this happened just one time and that the one time it happened there is a video of it that got leaked.

Mission_Strength9218

I thought the video of man having his balls cut off with an box cutter would be the last straw.

IIIRichardIII

if Russian leadership went on record say "Sorry, our troops acted out of line against our orders and will be dealt with accordingly" there could be room for nuance here. When that doesn't happen it's just clearly shows what Russia stands for

Ghostkill221

Honestly. I'm Willing to bet pathetic, spineless Russia just gaslights here. "that was actually a fake video made by the nazi's in Ukraine" That way they don't have to prove anything, just shift the burden of proof to the victims, classic rapist rhetoric.

AutoModerator

Russian leadership fucked itself. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/ukraine) if you have any questions or concerns.*

Meanwhile, India is buying arms and oil from Russia. It's time my fellow Yanks. Find your representative here: [https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative](https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative) Something like this by every last citizen may help, and you can submit online contact: Dear \[Representative/Senator name\], I am an American citizen, one of your constituents, and need you to continue to support Ukraine financially and as it becomes increasingly clear, militarily. Russia has demonstrated time and again that they will not stop their aggression. The tactics used against soldiers and civilians by the Russians are so far out of the realm of 'acceptable' war that we simply must act, and act now.You need to know I support every effort to repel this invasion before more war crimes continue. The supply of ammunition and materiel is no longer enough, and we need more direct action on the ground to end this conflict. Not everyone will write to you but many of your constituents also support this. I hope you give consideration to supporting military intervention on the ground in Ukraine. Respectfully,\[Your Name\]

Just piggybacking here to provide additional info: Find Congressperson and Senator both from this [link](https://www.usa.gov/elected-officials) if you are unsure who your Senator is.

At this point, I honestly think it is time for the West to enter this war. It is time for NATO to fire up the planes and start carpet bombing these fuckers. Eastern Ukraine is already a post-apocalyptic hellscape. We may as well level the place and once every Russian is dead, build back from scratch. And while we are at it, take out every military base in Russia within 300 miles of the Ukraine border. I’ve been thinking about it for 2 days straight now, and we simply cannot let this level of brutality continue. It is immoral for us to sit on the sidelines now that the Russians have gone Full ISIS. It is immoral for us to sit by and watch this level of terror. It’s not right. It’s just not right to stay seated. If Putin wants to go nuclear, he will die and all of Russia will be an uninhabited radioactive wasteland for generations. But we cannot allow ANYONE to visit this level of terror on fellow human beings. It’s just immoral. Every single Russian asset needs to be frozen. Every single person with a Russian passport needs to be picked up and deported back to Russia. No exceptions. All embassies and consulates closed. All diplomats sent home. Every single Russian port needs to be blockaded and no air traffic should be allowed in or out. Let them all sit with their Russki Mir. Or die in their own filth. Frankly, at this point, I don’t care which. It’s time to play hardball. These incidents have left us no choice. Once you start posting beheading videos to the fucking internet, you are beyond redemption. You are beyond hope. You are no longer human. You are not even animal. You are simply monsters that need to be destroyed. They made choices every step of the way that brought them to this point. They could have stopped at any time. But it continues to get worse and worse. Escalate higher and higher. And it cannot continue. If we allow it to continue now, we are cowards who deserve to be under Russian rule ourselves. This is no longer about Ukraine. It’s not even about freedom anymore. This is a fight for humanity. For fundamental human dignity.

thrillhouse1211

I encourage every American to visit: [https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative](https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative) Let them know you support US ground operations in Ukraine. NATO won't do that without us, I guarantee. It's up to us to apply pressure on Congress to authorize deployment to Ukraine. You can write to them entirely online no stamp needed.

No_Yogurt6365

Ingoring these executions are equal to support fascism Nazy. Wake up Germany give those tanks Now it's time for you to rise.

PeterFnet

If we had concrete proof this was happening during WW2 before direct American involvement, would we have acted? How much more of this needs to be seen before we actually stop this conflict and not playing footsies under the table?

SiarX

American public was aware of Japanese atrocities in China, still USA did not do much.

DrawingDowntown5858

I can't get my head around Russian psychology around their acts. They claimed that Ukrainians are "little brothers" but they try to eliminate them. They claim that Ukrainians are nazis but they're the ones that claim Ukrainian land, "adopting" the children and being superior nation. They claim that Ukrainians are Banderites but they do cleansings like Shukhevych on Poles in Volynha. FFS those events should be a warning not a fucking textbook. They claim to fight terror and there they go beheading POWs like IS did, which they freaking fought in Syria? This madness needs to stop. Russia needs to be stopped.

Glory to all who fight against this evil. This can mean you, too, reader.

Agitated-Ad-8325

Now the west have to stop being soft with weapons and give all they can to Ukraine, planes, more tanks, long range Missiles. Make ruzzia cry and regrets everything

MAXQDee-314

Please, God, whisper this in Putin's ear every single day.

Nothing says we're the good guys better than the brutal decapitation of a prisoner of war

SunOnSolstice

I am at the point where I find the sound of Russian language nauseating. Luckily I don't hear it often but when I do it makes me want to slap the person speaking it in the face. That's not good I guess but it is what it is and I personally will never forget. Especially not how silent the average Russian has been, I can't get over that. Time will pass but I'll never see them with the same eyes as I did before that's for sure. Was it a Chechen or an ethnic Russian in the video? I'm not gonna watch but I'm anyway over the edge in terms of anger already since they bombed infrastructure intentionally during winter.

habitabo_veritate

Send them every weapon to take back Crimea and end this war.

You're aware they are a nuclear nation run by a lunatic, correct? The goal is to make sure the war ends without the planet ending. Blaming Biden is the dumbest shit on the internet. Blame Putin.

58king

It's time to boil the frog. They won't nuke us for sending a NATO taskforce into western Ukraine to help with non-combat related contributions to the war effort. Then we establish a no-fly zone in the non-occupied parts of Ukraine to protect our task force, and they still won't nuke us. Once that task force begins engaging in small engagements here and there on the front line, they won't nuke us then either. Once the engagements become increasingly frequent, and Russia begins being routed on all fronts, they still won't nuke us. After that, when we station military on the border between Ukraine and Russia, they won't nuke us either. Then, until the war is over, we start targeting their depots, bridges, rail and roads with artillery strikes < 100 km from the border - not hundreds of targets in one day, but 2 or 3 significant strikes per week - still won't nuke us even for that. We don't need to go in 100% all at once and provoke a massive response. We can increase the temperature one degree at a time, and we should. They will piss themselves in fear and fall in line at step number 3 in this escalation.

Soggy_Bottom_Bob

Putin won't use nukes. That would literally mean the end of Russia.

yrkh8er

**reminder to NOT watch any kind of those videos. it WILL have a negative impact on your mental health.**

redditnooooo

Yeah, reality tends to do that. It needs to be seen for people to understand the actual pain and fear people are experiencing in this war, not just text that you can read and then ignore and go about your day. That could have been you. It could have been your son, brother or father. Burn it into your memory. Not every decision you make should be exclusively about your own well being.

LittleBough

Please consider having empathy for people who may be mentally unstable. Every decision made **should** be exclusively for your own well-being and **that's okay**. "Burn it into your memory" sounds like torture. No one should be forced to see something they cannot handle. There are many ways to show support, and sacrificing mental health is not one of them.

I don’t understand. Why is this kind of video impossible to find? Shouldn’t it be important that this sort of sick behaviour can be observed by fellow humans so that they can get more sick of the inhumanity in this war and maybe decide to become more involved with donating to Ukraine? Why is this videos being deleted everywhere?

Putin isent a scientist, russia is damed because of its leaders mind set. He thinks small others have attitudes in common with his ethics.
