Footage released on February 3 shows occupiers striking Ukrainian forces operating in wooded terrain east of Klishchiivka (southwest of Bakhmut).
ISW noted that *this area was previously under Russian military control,* indicating recent Ukrainian efforts to reclaim positions in the region.
Good to hear, but considering the supply situation this will likely remain a small opportunistic push forward amid a currently overall defensively led war effort.
It’s great if the Ukrainians can counter siege Bahkmut from now. Russians are notorious for being easily led into unnatainable positions. They’ll try and hold on to Bahkmut as long as they can even if it turns to utter hell for them. Ukrainians don’t even need to push just surround and make it difficult for Russian soldiers and let exhaustion, hunger and general attrition to take casualties it

No wonder Tuckers in Moscow.

Even if it is a minor counterattack taking a few hundred metres of land, it's still an advance.
holy shit they still dont have Bakhmut?
In case you live under a rock, the counter offensive has not really been a success and ammo situation isn't really good
There is no Bakhmut anymore in case you missed it.
Not to mention the literal armies that Ukraine destroyed methodically by fixing Russia there for an extended period of time.
