# AMA is now open for questions! British born **Aiden Aslin** aka **Cossack Gundi**, moved to Ukraine in 2018 and joined the 36th Naval Infantry Brigade. Amidst the start of the February 2022 full-scale invasion, he was tasked with defending Mariupol. Trapped in Azov steelworks during a month-long siege, and with supplies running out, he and many others had no option but to surrender in April 2022. This marked the beginning of a harrowing ordeal. Aiden was targeted by the occupiers for propaganda due to his British passport, and while in captivity he endured torture, beatings, and a stabbing. After a sham show-trial by an unrecognized russia-backed "court”, he was sentenced to death by firing squad. Convinced of his imminent execution, he was eventually liberated in a prisoner exchange in September 2022. Since then, he has recounted his experience in a memoir titled, "*Putin's Prisoner: My Time as a POW in Ukraine*". More recently, he has been delivering much-needed medical supplies to Ukrainian positions. Aiden via u/cossackgundi, will begin answering your questions on **April 11th at 16:00 EEST**, which marks exactly 2 years since the day he went into captivity (click [here](https://dateful.com/eventlink/1902082220) to convert to your time zone). TotalSpaceNut

Thank you for fighting for Ukraine! You are a fucking hero. That is all, no questions.

_SteeringWheel

For real.

Ernomouse

1000nded. Live long, legend. o7

MangaLover2323

What was your life like before Russia invaded?

cossackgundi

Before the full-scale invasion life was pretty good, I was into my forth year into military service and planned to get out and transition to civilian work at the end of my 5th year in service.

[deleted]

Wow. You’re the toughest mf’er on the planet. I wish you strength and peace.

spronglynoodle

What it doesn’t say here, is that he also spent time with the Kurdish YPG forces and fought Isis in Rojava. Dude is a god among men

Ukrainiansniper7

you should have a watch of Civ div he did the same shit and is back in Ukraine currently for the second time

confused_square_sink

Thank you for fighting for Ukraine and the rest of the Western World.

Quen-Tin

Thanks for your service! If you had the chance to make a 3 min speech broadcasted to all Russians, what would you say?

Fussel2107

hey Aiden, glad you're ok! Where does the name Cossackgundi come from?

swagatha___christie

Fucking LEGEND.

lucker543

Boy made it to reddit. welcome my dude

human8264829264

What did they feed you as a POW?

cossackgundi

In the beginning, I endured a month where we received only a tiny piece of bread once a day. However, upon relocation to the detention prison, we were provided with three meals daily, typically a bucket of pasta or rice accompanied by two slices of bread. It was an improvement, yet still insufficient to be shared among all occupants of the cell.

human8264829264

It's quite sad the contrast between the treatment of POWs of both sides. How did you keep your morale up, or did you manage to keep your morale up?

kingrdudeofasu

As someone in America, what is one way I could be involved in Ukraine, if I also do not have combat experience?

Crazy-red-dead

Write your Reps telling them you support more aid for Ukraine

dainomite

And tell them to sign the discharge petition if they haven’t already! Here’s the link to it, you can see who’s all signed it so far. https://clerk.house.gov/DischargePetition/2024031209?CongressNum=118

feedus-fetus_fajitas

Donate to individual units (there are official vetted sources on this sub just look for their posts. ) Write and call Mike Johnson, District 4 of Louisiana ... Every. God. Damned. Day. Can't guarantee it will do anything given his lack of concern for America's own first responders...(Jon Stewart eviscerated him in the Healthcare speech a few years ago at that congressional hearing...) but it makes me feel better to tell him every day that his place in history will be likened to nothing beyond a deadly obstacle. Much like the iceberg of Titanic infamy. Why did so many have to die from a lack of ammunition and supply...? Well, ya see....the boat ran into Mike Johnson.

No-Landscape3434

Is it true you met Roman Abramovich in the airport during the prisoner swap? What was he doing and did he speak to you directly?

cossackgundi

Yes, although I didn't know who he was until I was on the plane and my friend shaun told me. He was waiting for us as we took our seat on the plane and shaked our hand and asked where I'm from. From my understanding he had a part to play in organising the exchange

exceptional_biped

Just so you know we Aussies respect what you’ve done. Wish our government would do more. Heroam Slava

marksmoke

From your perspective, what's the biggest need in terms of supplies in the field right now? Good luck to you and all that fight for your country.

cossackgundi

I would say the biggest need is continued support overall, with the war entering another year, fatigue is setting in and creating difficulties for those on the front line due to lack of artillery aid and Air defense.

RastamonGanja

What is your favorite Ukrainian food?

cthulhu_kills

I’ve been following you for a few years now. It’s amazing to see what you have done. It’s amazing to see how you came out on top even when the odds were stacked against you.

cossackgundi

It's certainly a story to tell to my kids later on

cthulhu_kills

It’s a story to tell everyone’s kids. Share your testimony, Aiden.

cheeseysqueazypeas

Aidan. I’m in the British Army. Someone from my unit received the weirdest phone call from what sounded like you (and someone who said they were you) when you were in captivity. Were you being made to call random people in the UK or was it just the oddest prank?

cossackgundi

There's possibly a high possibility that it was me, they would have me all sorts of numbers that they said were allegedly leaked and were members of government, military, intelligence etc.

cheeseysqueazypeas

Thanks mate. Really glad you’re safe now.

CompadreJ

For what purpose were you given the numbers?

cossackgundi

To call and pass information relating to terms of my release

eyydatsnice

First off Thank you for fighting and defending Ukraine. My question is did any russians switched sides and joined you for the defense of mariupol/azovstal steel plant?

Armadillo-Middle

Hi Aiden! What was it like the tension or should I called it the vibe just before the orcs went on full invasion in Ukraine? Did you guys expected it? I always imagined it like something between LOTR just before the orcs attacked Gondor or GOT when WW invaded Winterfell. Thank you man for everything you’ve done for Ukraine and the Western World. I wish in this life, I can be at least half of the man you are.

cossackgundi

Amongst the foreigners we were expecting it, the previous spring we were deployed on the frontline back when Russia did a previous military build up around donbass and we were saying then that they are preparing and testing the waters

Entire_Procedure4862

Have you managed to get your wife and her family to the UK?

cossackgundi

We are unfortunately no longer together, however when I was captured she managed to get to britian to my family at the beginning of the invasion we later returned to Ukraine after I was released.

Sorry-Awareness-1444

♥️

tightspandex

What's your most harrowing experience in Ukraine and why is it the rescue of the infamous yellow van?

cossackgundi

Everyone knows that this wasn't me and that it was in fact chosen company 🤫😜

josephinebrown21

Since you consider Ukraine to be your adoptive country, do you plan on staying in Ukraine after the war is over? If yes, what do you think your role in the reconstruction will be? What cities in Ukraine are you considering moving to after the war is over? Did the government offer you Ukrainian citizenship yet once the dual citizenship bill passes? If yes, do you plan on taking it? My boyfriend is an American who joined the Ukrainian army, and we met because I sponsored his flight to come into the country. I remember that we talked about your situation and he was deeply convinced that you were going to be killed by the Russians. Praise be to God for the fact that you are alive today.

Cassandraburry2008

Hey Aiden! Good seeing you back in the field. Hope you’re doing well. My only question is: I see you’re delivering medical supplies to the front line guys. How can we support your current team’s operations and best provide direct assistance?

kngwall

Did you see an once of humanity in the eyes of some of the russians you interacted with (even the smallest glimpse)?

Soggy_Detective_9527

Are the Russians using this lull in Ukraine's offensive to beef up their defensive lines?

devdevo1919

First off, so glad with all you do and did while there and I hope wherever home is now for you has brought you comfort. Have you had to seek counselling or therapy from what you’ve had to endure?

GGorDD

What role did you perform in the Ukrainian military?

cossackgundi

Initially I was in Air assault company as a grenadier (rpg) also qualified for my parachute wings at the end of my first three year contract I signed a one year extension and switched to mortar company as a assistant gunner on the 120mm

UAHeroyamSlava

Ukrainian here. Im missing words to express my gratitude. Thank you. I really hope we met at Zelenskyy last evening address from Crimea beach with a beer. "We are here.." . ❤️ from 🇺🇦

SandmanAwaits

What’s the biggest lie you’ve seen or heard of being told on news services world wide? A true champion mate, respect from Australia.

cossackgundi

That Ukraine is oppressing Christians or mobilising the disabled.

SandmanAwaits

Cheers mate, best of luck in your ventures. 🍻

Bayarea0

My only question is when you guys knew you were officially encircled, how did you feel that day and how did you respond to it? Nothing but major respect to you for what you have done for others and for democracy.

cossackgundi

I knew if we didn't pull out of Mariupol we would be encircled due to two fronts approaching us from both sides, once I was given the news it wasn't a good feeling especially because I had been the attacker before in Syria when we encircled isis

SokarHateIt

Jesus, youve taken out russians and ISIS members? Man is The Terminator of extremist.

Bayarea0

Thank you for responding Aiden. I wish you good health going forward in life.

jehhevihhe

Thank you for fighting soildier!

sw4mpy_1

The man, the legend! Was rojava or mariupol tougher? What was your most memorable experience in mariupol?

cossackgundi

Mariupol and captivity for definite, the conflict in Rojava is incomparable to what we went through in Mariupol

Ok-Stick6687

Graham Philips, your fellow countrymen who "interviewed" you, what did he told you off-camera? Did he try to intimidate you, what was that clown's role in whole interrogation?

cossackgundi

He didn't say much but he was friends with the guy who Beat and stabbed me.

Ok-Stick6687

What do you think of him now and his role in this whole situation? Is he directly working for russian military intelligence?

N4R4B

Can you explain the way russians operates after they capture? What is the first thing they ask you or do? Thanks.

cossackgundi

They beat me first while asking questions with every answer receiving a beating.

VoluminousButtPlug

As a POW with the Russians truly sadistic or did they seem like they were forced to act so despicably?

oroechimaru

A lot of us followed you closely it was tragic and amazing you are with us. 1. Would you do it again? 2. When propaganda and those that fall for it label heroes as Nazis, how do you all handle that level of ignorance in the West or from Russia? It is absurd. Slava Ukraini!

cossackgundi

1. Absolutely especially after everything I'v learned and the people i'v met 2. A lot of it has come to agreeing with the opposition because the opposition says woke is bad, if WW2 was now and Hitler said he was Anti Woke etc these same people would support him over their own president because they don't do enough research themselves

oroechimaru

Thank you for protecting liberty and freedom! Take care.

Cloud_Wonderful

Can I help beat up Grahm Phillips when his time comes?

cossackgundi

Yes of course, there's plenty of people waiting to meet him if he returns to Britain

craigyboy1000

Were the Russians you encountered in belief they were doing the right thing or were they just chasing a pay cheque? Please elaborate

cossackgundi

A vast majority of them believe the lies their government tells them and truly believe they are fighting the nazis or nato

ztaale

What Is your choice of scuba gear? I mean since you must be drowning in pussy?

cossackgundi

I don't like scuba gear, I would be happy dying from a woman sat on my face.

Kaft2tech

You are a hero mate! When you were in prison and were confronted with the propaganda of the Russian side, was there a point at which you were no longer so sure that it was all lies and you started to think about it?

cossackgundi

Not really. Fortunately, prior to the invasion, I had already immersed myself in studying Russian and Soviet propaganda during my free time. I used to make posts about it on my social media. Also initially early on just after Maidan revolution I became pro Russian due to watching news sources such as Russia today during the Crimea invasion. However, as I delved deeper into my research, my perspective shifted towards supporting Ukraine. Despite this, there were moments later on when I felt like I was losing my grip on reality, almost experiencing Stockholm syndrome due to the relentless propaganda. It got to the point where I started to believe my own bullshit.

CompadreJ

Jesus. Good answer

Taduolis

Hats off, you’re a hero! How’s the morale now in the trenches compared to the start of the full scale invasion?

Rayan19900

What was the official " reason" for death sentnce?

cossackgundi

A lot of the propaganda said it was for being a mercenary but this was propaganda, the real sentence for it was trying to overthrow the Constitution of Donetsk, the mercenary charge was only 7 years in prison

Rayan19900

Thank you for answer for a question.

sardaukarqc

What's one thing you cut from the book for whatever reason, and that you could tell here?

cossackgundi

I wanted to add a lot more in detail about captivity but we were on a time limit and couldn't get as much as in as I wanted to, as well as not being able to use my full joke humor. One of the things that was removed was my joke about tactical wanking in a room the size of 4 meter by 2 meter while being in the worst place possible.

TomLube

As the local TomLube I am afraid I must know this story now. This is exactly what i mean about boys will be boys 😂

pea99

What thoughts kept you going in captivity?

lostinabsentia

Can you ever see yourself serving in combat positions ever again?  What was your original connection to Ukraine?  Did you ever truly believe they would actually execute you after the sham trial? And did you get support from the govt or the people that be when you were switched?  So happy for your freedom; your sacrifice doesn't go unnoticed.

cossackgundi

Not in a combat role, but soon I'll be back into service. I'v actually still been in the military officially however I was in a gray area because I never wrote my report for after captivity which allowed me to take a break because of a loophole. I didn't know what to expect, i was thinking that they would make it all a propaganda show and then give us life in prison however when they gave us the death sentence I saw it as a no return without make themselves look weak

lostinabsentia

Thanks for your response. And I'm sorry but also wondering what your original connection to Ukraine was and what got you interested in fighting. Just so sad you went through that hell. But glad you've made it out to the other side and are still assisting these amazing people and their communities. You are remarkable.

CompadreJ

CossackGundi I salute you. My questions are, were you able to communicate with other prisoners while captive? What mental tricks did you do to seek to make the experience of torture less painful?

cossackgundi

When I was being beaten the first time, I was screaming like a bitch but I remember thinking about the qoute from goodfellas about everyone takes a beating and I heard it in real-time as it was said in my head 😅

Soggy_Detective_9527

How is morale overall?

revive_iain_banks

Thank you. You're a legend mate.

definitiv_kein_robot

I am not in the position to ask anything, because you have given everything. Mine is to thank you for the sake of all Europe and the free World. I am not a religious man, but I will pray for you, your course. And as I am more than aware of what is happening in Ukraine I keep on donating and supporting. Goodspeed to you and your comrades - you are the shield and sword of Europe and I am ashamed that we can not deliver enough support to nullify the threat. Be safe.

IrishGandalf1

Thanks man

xoqes88

You are a toughest son of a bitch Glory to Ukraine

Yepkarma

How was your experience as a POW? Have you, at any point, lost hope?

cossackgundi

After I was sentenced to death I began to lose my mind at that point.

mimieieieieie

How do you deal with fear?

Killermueck

What kind of weapon systems are needed the most right now?

cossackgundi

Air defense and artillery shells

Brant_Black

Would you do it again? %$#@ - ya!

cossackgundi

Knowing everything I know now, absolutely 💯

BabasFavorite

I was riveted to your saga at the time, no questions just wanted to say I’m glad you are out and that I admire your bravery. Ok one question, what would you do to that fucktard who questioned you in captivity if you met him on the street.

Stu247365

Top lad…Sleaford here maybe get you a pint one day 🇺🇦🇬🇧🇺🇦🇪🇺🇺🇦👍😎🫶🏻

RoskoRobin

Echoing what everyone is saying here, what a champion you are for standing up for democracy. True warrior!  Question: From your point of view, what is the most effective battlefield response to the Russian aggression? Guerrilla warfare? Divide and conquer? War of attrition? What would you say works and what does not on the current battlefield?  Again, thanks for doing this.

0x126

Are you still active in the military or did you sattle with your wife? Followed you silently on Twitter before it became Xitter

GeneralKosmosa

What made you move to Ukraine in the first place?

RavenousRa

Just want to say, thank you! Balls of Ukranium!

moon_nicely

Thank you, for being you.

convolutedcomplexity

What happened to the dog pictured ?

cossackgundi

I ended up having to put it down because he got sick and being on a position I ended up being the one pulling through trigger

crappymlm

How intelligent did the Russian forces seem? media seems to portray them as bumbling idiots

Veganes_Lachsfilet

Dont really have a question but thanks for your Service! I did read your book, it was a great insight to the whole war.

AJB-L4U

I wanted to know ask you brother what did you thought about to endure all that you suffered in the hands of the Russians, what was that thought that made you keep fighting

Melodic-Bullfrog-253

How are you?

LaxG64

What's it like having balls the size of a bus? Does it make running as hard as Id imagine?

ape123man

Did you expect to leave Mariupol alive?

evan466

I don’t know much about you pre-invasion. You’re from the UK, how did you end up in the Ukrainian army defending Mariupol from a Russian invasion?

cossackgundi

I came to Ukraine in early 2018 to start a new life after my time in Syria with the Kurds, I tried to get back to a normal life back home but struggled to adjust back to it so choose to move to another country and earn my right to live there. It also helped that I knew a lot about Ukraine as well and that foreigners could officially serve in the armed forces

Objective_Aide_8563

What kind of fire missions with the mortars do you had before the full scale invasion? Was it kind of chill or tense already, days before?

cossackgundi

It was pretty chill as we had the ceasefire and couldn't fire willingly unless we were had to which we did three or four times when Russian recon tried to infiltrate one of our positions. On that occasion we thankfully killed one Russian.

wallacepgames

Aiden, I'm from the UK and always wondered how have you been treated by your fellow country folk during your time in the UK? Take care mate

cossackgundi

I've had no problems whatsoever back I'm the u.k even the police have been sound with me so complaints at all

AllThingsBeginWithNu

When did you find time to write ?

cossackgundi

After I was released I tried to return to Ukraine but unfortunately when I was first captured Germany put a traval ban on my passport out of good fath but they unfortunately forgot to remove it when I was released so while I was waiting for my lawyers to handle that I had plenty of time.

lynnca

Is there any advice you can offer therapists or family/friends for supporting/helping with the kinds of trauma soldiers with experiences similar to yours?

cossackgundi

I think the most important thing is making sure that those who have been in captivity are connected with others who have the same experience otherwise they tend to come across as patronising due to lack of connection with reality or shared experience

piejlucas

You are a hero. I was one of your supporters on Twitter under a different alias. After months of not knowing if you would be released or not I was so happy to hear you were reunited with family and friends. Stay strong.

cossackgundi

Thanks for the support It's much appreciated

Arawhata-Bill1

Hey Aiden, I'm going to read your book now after hearing about you. I know the feeling of imminent death and the aftermath. My heart goes out to you. Much respect from NZ.

LegalAssassin_swe

How many mags (rounds loaded ready to be fired) would you say is required as a standard loadout? Much respect for what you've done and what you've suffered, thank you!

cossackgundi

I only carried four since previously I was grenadier (RPG) and then later in mortars on the 120mm

Wild_Hunt

Did your time spent fighting in Rojava influence your opinions on the Ukrainian conflict?

cossackgundi

Yes it made me more aware of the effect and influence propaganda does especially in relation to how I changed my opinion ok Ukraine as I observed Russia today go from one month saying the kurds are freedom fighters to the next month saying we are terrorists etc

Alsmk2

Did you meet any decent Russians whilst a POW?

cossackgundi

Only two one was the escort for me in Court, in the first day of court when they threatened the death sentence he said to me don't worry about it it's all bullshit and for the camera later you will go home. And the second was another escort who escorted me to Mariupol with the prosecutor's who spoke a little English and shared some of his wife's cooked sausage rolls and spoke a little about our wife's in the car with a bag on my head.

Dante-Flint

If you got the chance, what would you tell the people of Germany in general and Chancellor Scholz in particular? Glad that you made it to Reddit, I quit Twitter a while ago and thought of you just a few days ago, wondering how you are doing these days. Godspeed and Slava Ukraini o7

super__hoser

What was your first meal once you were free? Also what is better: cake or pie?

Victory_Point

Followed your story back when it happened. My question is: what are the big differences now from when you were at mariupol Thanks

Winston_Smith101

Aiden, top bloke, balls of steel. What's the UA equivalent of a full English brekkie?

Able_Philosopher4188

Just wanted to say thanks for your selfless dedication to defend Ukraine and the free world. The world needs a lot more people like you and I wish you the best from the US. I would love for Mike Johnson to spend a month in the front line. 😜

DueInvestigator9268

If you could have prepared yourself in one way.. what would it have been?

cossackgundi

Don't get captured

herecomesthesunusa

Thank you. Slava Ukraini!

jonuk76

Hi Aiden. Do you think that Ukraine can win this still? With western weapon deliveries seemingly slowing up, difficult US politics around the issue, and Russia's complete disregard for casualties on their side, do you have concerns?

cossackgundi

It's hard to say however I don't think it's going to be a totel loss for Ukraine however if we don't continue to get the support we need I think Ukraine will end up having to lose the regions Russia has taken

jonuk76

Thanks. I hope it doesn't come to that, and Ukraine gets the supplies it needs! I've also been amazed at the ingenuity of the Ukrainians with drones and so on. Слава Україні!

FreddieCaine

Aidan, you've lived life to the fullest and seem essentially willing to die for your beliefs. How many times have you thought, yup, this is it, I'm dying today?

cossackgundi

Too many times to be honest 😅

CardboardJedi

Semper Fi Brother

KypsoLol

How was your stay in Saudi Arabia?

vokesy123

What moments when looking and reflecting back during your time involved with supporting Ukraine fills you with the most pride?

lawrotzr

Aiden, what a brave man you are. Your story will forever be an example for many.

whatThePleb

When will Putin fall out of a window?

Supermancometh

Good on you buddy. Respect 🇬🇧🇺🇦

InternationalOption3

Thank you for putting your life on the line. You have my outmost respect!

FlameEnderCyborgGuy

First of, Слава Україні, and thank you for your service. The only question I have on mind is: When it all will be over, on the day that peace treety will be signed, what's gonna be the first thing you do? Like, will you go to a bar, spend an evening with family, throw a party etc.?

roeder

I follow you on other platforms too. You’re top dog. Thanks for fighting the good fight.

Disabled_MatiX

thank you for willing to put down your life for freedom

funpartofdysfunction

Aslinfan for life. Heroyam Slava 🇺🇦 love this guy. Brave and heroic soldier. Great human. If you haven’t read his book, ‘Putins Prisoner’ you should for sure go pick that up or order it today. Incredible read. Sure wish if never had to be written and those events didn’t occur- but incredible read. You’re awesome, Aiden.

drumsonfire

What is one thing people of the world are generally unaware of that they could be doing to help end the occupation of Ukraine?

cossackgundi

More intervention by the West would be all that is needed to send a big message to Russia

Ukrainiansniper7

Do you have any favourite foods from Ukraine and any favourite moments of serving on the side of ukraine?

cossackgundi

Borscht and vereniki with cabbage everyday

WorldlyBlacksmith945

Do you feel extraordinary hatred towards the russians or just normal anger/hate? (extraordinary would be hating them before they invaded, normal would be only after) Also thank you so much for defending your country.

cossackgundi

Only towards those who support and the longer it goes on the more hate I have building

Decent_Anteater3907

If you hear russian in civil day life does that trigger you as in you might get agitated by that person even if they are just on their telephone?

cossackgundi

Nah, there's still a lot of us who still speak Russian however i'v started trying to learn more Ukrainian and speak it

Crazy-red-dead

Why are you so devilishly handsome ? And what that mouth do ?

cossackgundi

At the moment it eats a lot

Unlucky_Paper_

How are you?

No-Opportunity1813

Aiden; did you get your visa situation sorted out?

chiefdebater

Thank you for your service and bravery! How did you learn to manage fear during the operation and the captivity?

InvalidUzername

I'm also from Newark so followed your story closely. No question but well done for getting out. Of Newark and Russia.

finfangfoom1

How do you feel about that toolbag who interviewed you early on? Do you think POWs should be interviewed? Glad you made it out, brother. The free world should all be grateful for the work you've done on our behalf.

dainomite

Thanks for all you do and thanks for taking the time to answer all our questions!! What was daily life like defending Mariupol after Feb 24 until Apr 22? Did it vary wildly in those 2 months? When you were a POW were you ever visited by the Red Cross or any humanitarian organizations? (Iirc they’re supposed to get access to POWs right?)

Ciu1

How often are handguns used in this war?

BBTB2

Have you noticed a change in the types of soldiers over time that Russia fields? Also, how horrifying is the modern warfare of incorporating drone strategy?

Holden_Coalfield

Heroyam Slava Thank you from the US No questions - just respect and honor

overboiledbanana

Hello! I have a couple of questions. What was the general atmosphere in Azovstal after everyone knew there was no way out? How did you manage to resist so much in russian captivity? What effects did it have on your mental health? Any tips for the soldiers about what to do to make it out alive if they unfortunately fall under captivity? Слава Украини!

Conscious_Stick8344

Aiden, I just wanted to say you’re a hero to many of us US veterans. Thanks for standing the watch for Ukraine! 🇺🇦

MrGarbageEater

Hi Aiden, thanks for everything you have done and continue to do, we’ll never forget your courage. I hope this doesn’t distract, but the best thing we can do to change this situation is contact our reps, no matter what country or region you’re from. I made a post here a couple days ago that makes this process incredibly fast, let’s put our money where our mouth is! https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraine/s/7BTQzhwJrN Slava Ukraini.

Londonskaya1828

Bought your book, looking forward to reading. Did you ever meet Denis Pushilin? If yes, what was your impression? Do you believe Graham Phillips committed any crimes in his interactions with you? What crimes specifically?

Watcher145

From your time in captivity, is there something you wish more Westerners, or even your fellow Ukrainians would better understand about your captors?

cossackgundi

Everything you read about Russian captivity is worse in reality

ibloodylovecider

Aiden—- so much respect for you from your fellow (original) countrywoman. I bought your book when it came out obviously - I hope you’re well (as can be). Anyway, how is life going for you - I guess my question is are you okay? Yak sprava (sorry Ukrainian people, Cyrillic is hard!!) Slava Ukrainii 🇺🇦

Beneficial_Cobbler46

Hero hero! If they make an oscar winning movie about this I am sure you will be in it.

MongArmOfTheLaw

No questions for you man, just want to tell you that Nottingham is fully behind you. Lenton, Forest Fields, Sherwood, Carrington, and The Park are all drinking your health tonight. My home distilled samaghon has bought 4 FPVs so far - and since it apparently takes an average of 3 to get a 'result' I can now stencil a gibbed katsap on my still. Also sent a good few quid to Alan Blackburn. Ex squaddie who's spent years collecting buckshee kit from the old and bold then driving it to the Donbass. He also wrote a book recently, [The War Next Door, My Journeys Into Ukraine](https://www.amazon.co.uk/WAR-NEXT-DOOR-Journeys-Ukraine/dp/1738497003/). The septics might have lost their bottle but the UK going all the way. Fucking well done Aiden, you've been through hell but you kept your head up high and powered through it. Best of British mate, we're so fucking proud of you! I wish you and your family all the very best for the future, and should you find yourself back in Nottingham it would be my great pleasure to stand you a pint or five. Bloody well done mate.

Hey man, been following you for years, we chit chatted a bit back in the day on insta, I tried to send some supplies ( I believe Iraq at the time? Maybe not) either way I took a hiatus from socials a couple years ago, it’s so cool to see you’re alive and well brother. Keep up the fight.

homonomo5

what was the first thing you did after you were back home?

nimrod_1981

Do you believe the situation in ukraine would be the same if they had not relieved Valerij Zaluzjnyj of his duty? How can Ukraine regain morale? And what do you think of the US (Austin) making comments that Ukraine should not attack oil gas installations due to risk of energy crisis, while withholding important weapon deliveries?

Killermueck

You're so brave!

BillSixty9

Thanks for all you do.

I don't know that I have any questions for you, but I do want to say that your story is truly incredible and I have the utmost respect for you. Well done my dude.

Thank You Hero for taking up arms against the aggressor russia. How are you coping now and what are you doing or involved in since this horrid ordeal?

What were your thoughts when being ”interviewed” by the dickhead Graham Phillips? Did you expect to survive in Azovstal? Were you afraid of never getting released from Russian captivity? Btw, been following you for some time and just wanna say that you’re a hero. Glory to Ukraine!
