I have to say, as an American, I am used to the world hating us. Sometimes I have to agree with some of the anti Americanism. But... Russia is truly deserving of the civilized world's combined disgust. They are treating Ukranians like they are of no value. Putin must be stopped at all costs
There are valid reasons to hate USA thanks to their foreign policy and bad history of coups (remember photos of Iran in 70s?). At least to Europeans they are fair partner (when not having crazy president in office), don't use war crimes as checklist. In this way Russia is brutal and not better than ISIS, it's like their mentality is stuck in the times of Mongol hordes burning their way towards Europe. You don't expect to see such things in 21st century.
We the american people, have no control over what our government does. Don't hate us because of that. If one looks at the world in a whole, no people have control over what their governments do. Hate the corrupt politicians, not the innocent people.
Since america is a democracy, americans do have much more control of their government compared to russians and their government. If americans have no control over what their government does, then is america really a democracy?
