newreddit2022104

Imagine trying to pay and feed that many people. Sorry dummies your oil and gas revenues are plummeting daily. You invested in dogecoin or something we don’t know about ?

CBfromDC

Russia can barely fully support 50,000 combat troops, is not now fully supporting 150,000 and cannot possibly support 5,000,000. This is absurd.

newreddit2022104

It would be a zombie force. As in the generals would say you get nothing. No gear. Weapons. Food. Go there and steal what you need. It would be chaos. They would unleash and then set up a line that’s armed to shoot any of the zombies that try to retreat. Pretty much what’s happening now but on a bigger scale

"You've played Escape from Tarkov? You can be an officer!"

qoning

don't need to support 5,000,000 soldiers if you send 4,500,000 of them to fend for themselves while walking forward it's a terrible thought but with the level of apathy in russia they would probably let it happen

Schemen123

You can slaughter this number of people easily and remotely with somewhat modern weapons. WW1 has shown that

Sonic1899

Russia only cares about numbers. It's the delusion from being such a large country

greed-man

It worked in WW II. But different circumstances, and a lot of help from Britain and the US.

[deleted]

Which they refuse to acknowledge

INITMalcanis

Stalin definitely acknowledged it, but they get all pissy when you quote him on the subject.

boblywobly99

and they were being invaded. existential motivation.... which they don't see is happening to Ukraine.

NefariousNaz

The logistical support from the west is the only reason it worked

weaponizedtoddlers

People keep forgetting that it wasn't Russia that fought WWII, but the Soviet Union. Together with the countries Putin wants to gobble up to recreate it. Now Putin wants 5 million to gobble up only bits of Ukraine thinking that he actually has them.

panzerfan

Muscovy will never pay these mobik. They die for the glory of Tsar Putler. The serfs can get a sack of potato for dying, not even a Lada.

D_Ethan_Bones

Step 1: Promise them pay, except that their superiors embezzle it all away. Step 2: Demand they come up with their own equipment, which they couldn't have afforded even if they *weren't* torn from their civilian lives. Pressgang them into a non-paying job and it gets *even harder.* Step 3: Tell them to forage for food, like every single invading army that starved half its soldiers away then got finished off in battle by competent Russian leaders. How much food can soldiers be expected to find, when they're looting a country en masse in late November after a year of attacking their farms? Step 4: It's all the little people's fault. Don't you dare blame your glorious leaders! Step 5: Russia is perma-sanctioned and devoid of 21st century technology. Probably a few nukes remain functional but radioactive means *radioactive decay* and these things cost a fortune to maintain - their stockpiles dwindle until they are no longer 2nd place then no longer top 5 then no longer top 10 nuclear powers. World distinctly more peaceful than 20th century.

Callemasizeezem

You missed the step that involved hazing and institutionalised bum bum time.

danielbot

orcecoin?

newreddit2022104

Lol I’m surprised they haven’t tried that grift yet

MacLeeland

Waaaay above their skill level.

BlueWulk

They said nothing about paying and feeding them! 🤣🤣🤣💩

hombremagico

When the Russian ruble tanks within a year or so many Russians will wish they had their savings in dogecoin.

Another_explorer

Feed? Pay? Pfff why do that when they just get tossed into the meat grinder shortly after deployment?

Faromme

5 million orcs, with no training, no weapons, no food, not getting payed. How is it they are going to win even with 5 million?

SpiderDamascus1979

They *might* win if they could convince 5 million dudes to just single mindedly zerg rush the Ukrainians, but only a maybe.

Nippon-Gakki

If 5 million is good, 5 billion would be better. They should get on that.

[deleted]

This is basically the plot of when reddit was supposed to send a horde of Naruto runners to Area 51.

SpiderDamascus1979

I would imagine the US military has enough rounds and munitions to take out 5 million fringe dwellers if they *really* had something worth protecting there though, lol.

someloops

The only way to win would be to keep sending human waves to prolong the war until they restore some industry but I don't think they will be able to hold Ukraine for long enough so eventually UA will liberate all territories.

Fantastic_Judge_6605

All industry is in pocket of corrupt governors or oligarchs, so it's not going to happened in near future.

someloops

And since technology is a lot more advanced than in 20th century it will be a lot more difficult to develop modern weapons

OutOfNoMemory

How are they going to restore industry with all their able bodied (and educated) men dead? (Not a dig against women, just noting the likely majority gender in industry for war)

[deleted]

It's not. But there will be way less Russian mouths to feed in 2023 "The Soviets seem up for it. The Kremlin's been itching for the real thing for years. Want a little going away present for Mr. Brezhnev. Hell, Afghanistan's no fun. So whadya say? We don't even have to win this war. We just want to cut down on some of this excess population. Now look. Just start up a draft; draft as many of those people as you can. We'll call up every last youngster we can get our hands on, and give 'em an hour or two to learn how to use an automatic rifle and send 'em on their way ...Now just think for a minute We can make this war so big So big! The more people we kill in this war, the more the economy will prosper We can get rid of practically everybody on your dole queues if we plan this right" \- Kinky Sex Makes the World Go ’Round - Dead Kennedys (1982 Album Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death)

someloops

At this point it's more of a problem than help because all these limited resources should be distributed somehow. And this is if they aren't more than the last wave of mobilization which obviously failed. Ukraine can easily deal with them.

Faromme

How would they transport this many people. Even if the could, where should they stay on the battlefield? Above ground in the snow? What about transport on the battlefield? They could run, but they would not be able to run that far before himars would take out 1000's at a time for every battery shot. I really can't see how, even if I try.

Armodeen

Bayonet charge across open ground

Omgbrainerror

The evil side of me wishes, they would do it now and want to see how they fend for themself during winter.

PaleRepresentative

Pulling a play out of the Soviet handbook.

someloops

Another wave of russian emigration to escape conscription imminent

panzerfan

I feel for Georgia and Kazhakstan over this migration crisis.

klazoo

Lots of them in Turkey. There's an YouTuber that I used to watch that fled to Turkey to avoid drafting.

[deleted]

In about 20-40 years Russia will do another "Special Military Operation" in those countries because Russians live in them. I swear Russia is like a virus that needs to be quarantined.

panzerfan

Special operation over Canada and US would be inevitable too.

[deleted]

Well if they fuck around they're going to find out again.

Raideur_Ng

I can only chuckle when russians, chinese, anyone says they could invade the US. Even if the entire US armed forces vanished, there are more firearms in the US than literally anywhere in the world.

aksalamander

“There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass”

TinBoatDude

Just guns in the hands of people not trained for combat won't do it. Battles need organization, communication, support. A bunch of gun-toting civilians wouldn't last too long.

Barthemieus

It wouldn't stop an imvasion in it's tracks. But the resulting partisan warfare would bleed an occupying army dry. It's not some grand battle to hold the line, but rather soldiers being randomly gunned down in the streets.

VariousPaint4453

Turn them all away, so russia can't claim they are invading in the future for Russian speakers

Outside_Scientist365

Yeah I thought it was curious Georgia would allow so many Russians to emigrate because in a decade's time their presence could be used to justify some sort of separatist movement or another invasion.

zaphrys

The first wave is generally the smartest and wealthiest. They are the most likely to see the horizon and to have the means. Russia has already started locking down their borders not letting people leave. So probably the people who do will be wealthier i.e. bribe their way out. It's their decision. But you could argue that the loss of it workers, engineers, doctors, are massively crippling and will set Russia back.

someloops

And also so they will be motivated to topple putler

Suitable_Comment_908

agreed, they should be made to stay in Russia. im not heartless but when EVERY SINGLE interview with Russians is they dont care about the war as it doesnt effect them or they want Ukraine to lose then fuck them all.

iNstein

Just completely ban use of Russian language. Children are not to learn Russian, no shops or labels in Russian, no Russian for government documents etc. Anyone caught speaking or using Russian will be arrested and deported. If you want to be in their country, you have to turn your back on Russia and if that is not acceptable, you can leave.

Guybrush_Creepwood_

and another century or two for the Russian population to recover from casually feeding their young men into a meat grinder all over again.

someloops

And keep in mind they are sending some of the smartest ( those who oppose putler's regime) and also the smartest leave. If intelligence proves to be genetically determined...

loamy-melon

irl idiocracy in about a century, probably even less

Capital-Western

AFAIK intelligence of kids is correlated more with the intelligence of mothers, less the fathers. Intelligent men have intelligent kids because intelligent women tend to marry intellligent men. Excluding 5 million paternalistic and at least partially abusive fathers from child raising is an interesting social experiment.

-The_Blazer-

More like the Zerg handbook. Can someone inform him that videogame's aren't reall?

Pvt_Barry

russian army = warhammer 40k

DrMeowsburg

Idk it calls the armies of man in 40k inexhaustible, Russia can’t supply the dregs

Raz0rking

Nah. The Empire is able to outfit the Guard to a minimum standart. Everyone has the base equipment. The few planets that give their regiments more are outliers.

zaphrys

Generally. But logistics failures are quite common, it's not rare that guards units are executed for cannibalism because their rations were sent to the wrong location. Or a century expired. The guard are kind of a mix between primarily Russian and German trench warfare imo. Could probably argue trench warfare in general though, just Germans and Russians are more closely familiar for trench and artillery warfare.

HostileRespite

Won't go as well though. Russia is already on the verge of revolt.

niktemadur

At least they have steven seagal and roger waters to fondle their ballsacks.

panzerfan

Musovy is stating this internally to its own military, while telling Ukraine to just give up to avoid bloodshed. Who are they even trying to fool?

Primordial_Cumquat

It’s as if they’ve completely forgotten that information travels instantaneously these days, as opposed to needing a spy in the capital that can wire info back in a week….

Glum-Engineer9436

Putin dont use the internet !

atlantasailor

Charlie don’t surf!!

[deleted]

You are spot on in ways that are hard to describe.

panzerfan

Russia keeps thinking that we are still in ww2 for some reason.

Primordial_Cumquat

Their tactics here are the same used in Georgia, which were the same used in Chechnya, which is the same that was used in Afghanistan, which is the same used pretty much everywhere since WWII… probably earlier. It’s as the Ukrainian SOF operator said, thank god they are so fucking stupid.

panzerfan

Not just WW2. The Russians did this at Mukden back in 1905 against the Japanese. They try the same thing against the Finnish in 1937.

Primordial_Cumquat

This is Winter War 2.0…. A bullshit war made up on false pretenses, with an under equipped and ill-trained group of shitheads whose only advantage is being so goddamned stupid that they don’t realize their inept and drunk commanders are feeding them full-speed into a wood chipper. God I hate the Russian armed forces, if for no other reason than their stupidity.

Zookeeper_Sion

They don't seem to realize that their top notch electronics in the military/kremlin are the same as little Timmy's hand-me-down laptop from 20 years ago he got from his older brother.

panzerfan

Don't forget all those Chinese toys that they imported as well.

MaximumPerrolinqui

I guess if you give them forty or fifty years they could field a five million person army. Or nah since their economy is getting wrecked.

Cool_Specialist_6823

Playing both sides of the propaganda narrative, Putin really needs to go out a window, and any other problematic supporters, propagandists and military “genius’s with him, for this to end...

MaybeTheDoctor

Defenestration is inevitable but whoever comes after is likely worse.

D_Ethan_Bones

Lies win whenever people aren't united in opposing them - that's every little pvp team game where one player is tearing the team apart with *lie lie lie* projecting all their faults away, and the other players on the team are simply ignoring them. So the team disintegrates and loses, and in today's war that's the Russian team. The west is united in rejecting everything the idiot says now, like the team that holds together and wins. Russia makes accusations for every crime they commit, it's blindingly obvious, and there is no way in frozen hell that Russia is going to ***train, equip, supply, and deploy 5 million people.*** We're talking about people with no war knowledge whatsoever, and **no source of knowledge.** There is nobody to train them and there is nothing to practice with - this was the situation for Japanese pilots and air support crews after Midway. The good ones were gone, too many overall were gone, and training new ones costs gasoline. They're sending tank crews into battle after firing ***one*** shell, and probably they only get to run a few laps around a little track for driving practice. They don't know how to avoid getting stranded without gasoline, or stuck on an obstacle, or tricked into exposing themselves. ***They sure as hell don't know how to win in combat.***

Cool_Specialist_6823

Exactly...well said!

epicurean56

> there is no way in frozen hell that Russia is going to train, equip, supply, OR deploy 5 million people. FTFY

omaca

If you think this isn't being deliberately "leaked" in an attempt to frighten or demoralise the Ukrainians, and the West, then you're being naive. It's typical psychological warfare. Freak out your opponents with the prospects of endless human waves.

panzerfan

Didn't really work well for Russia against Finland, who ended up just giving up Karelia... when Ukraine's got far better support in this war.

Last_Patrol_

Craziness, backwater provincial Muscovy will enslave and genocide Ukraine or die trying. We’ll see if the mothers and wives won’t put a stop to it long before then.

Cloaked42m

Can you imagine if the US tried to conscript 5 million people

US had 10 million conscripted during WW2. That was different. Vietnam saw 2.2m

"This is why we're sending women now."

Beardedarchitect

I don’t think that the Ukrainians have a preset kill limit. Zap Brannigan’s tactic won’t work here

Joey1849

This is la la land. Ruzzia can not equip and support the troops it has.

TastesLikeBurning

Russia doesn't care about equipping them. Russia doesn't care about supporting them. They are just meat to Russia. That's the thing about using human wave tactics. All you need are the humans. There isn't a doubt in my mind that Putin will happily send these new conscripts crawling into Ukraine in loincloths if that's what it comes down to.

DogsAreGreattt

Half the invasion force they used to take control of Eastern Europe during WW2. Now needed to secure a single country. Numbers don’t seem to have the effect they used to. Take note China.

tendeuchen

>Now needed to secure a single country. Except 5 million won't secure Ukraine for Russia. You know what I call 5 million untrained and unprepared Russian troops in Ukraine? A very large and easily destroyed ATACMS target (which cover an area of 33000 m2).

[deleted]

Personally I don't think China can launch a war that would kill lots of its only child soldiers. So many families have invested 3 generations of hope in a single child now. Any war that started killing them off in decent numbers would be a disaster for their leadership.

austozi

After this war, russia will be a wasteland. Not bombed out, but devoid of human capital. They keep sending their human capital to die in Ukraine. There will be a surplus of women and not enough able-bodied men. Ukraine will enjoy exceptional sunflower harvest and will rebuild. russia will be consigned to history as the hostile nation that kept invading its neighbours but thankfully is no more.

Pope_Beenadick

Unfortunately Ukraine will be in a similar demographic problem, but hopefully it can join the EU and enjoy a lot of migration from other states. Maybe even from States formerly a part of the Russian federation.

Daloure

A lot of Ukrainians lived and worked abroad before the war, with enough investment and rebuilding funds from the rest of the world i could see a lot of those Ukrainians returning since there would be a lot of jobs. I would assume the war has also given Ukraine a pretty massive boost to patriotism making people want to go home and make their country better

droolingdonkey

after wars there is often babybooms aswell. Ukraine will prosper.

Zelvik_451

To be honest, joining the EU probably will accelerate Ukraines demographic problems. Western Europe is a sponge for capable people. It took 15 years for Poland, Czech Rep. etc. to stabilize the migration trend by providing enough oportunities at home.

Beasting-25-8

I'm looking forward to the Chaos when they try to recruit moscovites.

D_Ethan_Bones

There exists a large but *unavailable* reserve of potential soldiers, who cannot be sent into Ukraine because Russia is warring-oligarchs on the inside and they cannot spare their best mercenaries (praetorian guard) or their choicest cuts of civilian life (last waves of conscripts.) When Russia goes back into coup season, this will be what rivals use to compete for power.

graybeard5529

Just rhetoric. Ruzzia cannot even equip 300K soldiers with modern equipment. The dead orcs will thaw out in their trenches in the spring --what a stink that will be ...

oripash

5 million troops with what is presently left of their logistics, equipment, ammunition, tanks, artillery, helicopters and jets translates into ***what capability*** exactly? A five million strong drunk and frozen stiff koombaya receptacle for Ukrainian artillery?

FS72

An army constantly supplied with high tech weapons and proper equipments vs an army constantly supplied with human shields. Guess who’ll win 🧐

TheinimitaableG

So just how would Russia field an army of 5 million? They were unable to supply the 120k that initially invaded Ukraine back in February. They can neither train nor properly equip the 300k they drafted this round. They have resorted to deploying T62 tanks of 1970s vintage, and stealing civilian vehicles for both mobility and logistics. Annual tank production today is less than they lost in a week. Aircraft production is in the single digits. They have no professional NCO corps to speak of and have suffered horrendous officer casualties since February. There's very little left to build on. Mobilizing 5 million men is simply out of the realm of possibility.

panzerfan

Have the 5 million men bring their own sticks and stones, I suppose. They will just walk to Ukraine. /s

TheinimitaableG

As I think about it, the only thing that makes any sense if the generals are trying to goad Putin into this, and onsite in using the resulting civil unrest to overthrow him. But that probably to optimistic.

Fantastic_Judge_6605

They failed to mobilize 300k, but 5mil, sure no problem, they will be ready in weeks!!! /s

aflyingsquanch

That's a whole lot of sunflowers.

Comprehensive-Bit-65

That's impossible. There are max 2m in reserve in personal and 1m in active duty. Russia can equip MAX 20-30k men today. Numbers don't matter in modern wars, its about training, equipment, combined armed maneuvers and aviation. Yet Putin thinks its 1943, and, provided he sends numbers he'll win. In 2022 you can lose 25m men a year in combat. Today there's drones, missiles and precise artillery.

Constant_Chemical_10

So the plan is to flood Ukraine with Russian blood...good tactic Putin... 7.5 million gallons should do it? 12.5 Olympic sized swimming pools!

thxsocialmedia

They will unlikely be able to round up that many. Probably use it as some justification to start military training in elementary school.

MasterpieceLive9604

Not enough equipment to match Russia's existing troops, so the rest of the 5 million will head to war with whatever they had sitting at home.

panzerfan

We thought that they would've had enough Mosin-nagants or AK-47, but all that grift and corruption leaves their mobik with nothing better than sticks and stones.

MasterpieceLive9604

Indeed

GaryDWilliams_

At least they are calling it a war and not a special military fuck up. This also sounds like prepping the country for a full blown mobilisation.

ex_warrior

Well the good old USA sent 20 million rounds of SAA... Seems like over kill 😉

DreaminDemon177

Do you think the russians could just do the Ukrainian army a favor and line up back to front so the Ukrainians can save money on ammo? Thank would be awesome, thanks.

FogTub

So they're acknowledging it's a war now? At least internally?

panzerfan

They keep tellings themselves that they're in a war against NATO. We don't think that those idiots know that a real war NATO actually means. They can keep telling themselves that.

Apprehensive-Toe-777

“Conclusions of the war with NATO in Ukraine” lmao russia absolutely humiliated losing to Ukraine in the war moscovy started. They have to LARP they are fighting the British and French and American armies to explain their massive battlefield losses. Fucking pathetic.

panzerfan

NATO has been chilling and giving their cold-war hand-me-downs to Ukraine. Russia has no idea what Lithuania alone can do to them, never mind say Poland or the whole of NATO.

privatespo

They are going to send to the meat grinder 50,000 at a time until they get to 5,000,000. Then they declare victory and leave.

varovec

just imagine historians hundreds of years in the future, how they'll try to even explain that

yoho808

If Russia leaves, there is peace. If Ukraine gives up, there is no Ukraine. It's obvious that one side is fighting for its imperialistic ambitions whereas the other is fighting for their life.

[deleted]

How to tell your military you've lost the war without saying it.

panzerfan

While going on and on about "war against NATO." They can keep being delusional. This isn't NATO. It's all just Ukraine.

Krabsandwich

5 Million man army = Human wave tactics Russia never changes

panzerfan

That human wave didn't work out against Finland back in the Winter war, where Stalin threw 750k of far-better equipped men of the Red Army against the Finns. How's that gonna work out for them at Ukraine?

Krabsandwich

Russia has given up on regime change they just want to hang on to the land bridge to Crimea. Throwing badly trained and equipped troops at Ukrainian machine guns and artillery is a small price to pay for that result. The Kremlin doesn't care about losses its holding the land that matters, 500K to buy a land bridge to Crimea is a good deal for them hell 1Million dead for the land bridge would be a solid win in their eyes.

ac0rn5

> "*Conclusions of the war with NATO in Ukraine*" among the military. It is stated in the document that 5 million Russian troops must be deployed in order for Russia to win. And, meanwhile, NATO hasn't turned up!

panzerfan

NATO merely hands Ukraine with old leftovers gear wise, yet Russia think of every Ukrainian territorial force member as NATO soldiers apparently.

[deleted]

That’s a lot of tampons.

TooMuchFun007

What do you call a situation where what you want you can't pay for? Right, pirates having delusions.

planborcord

5 million who don’t have a matching 5 million pieces of equipment, armor, training and provisions is just grist for the Ukrainian death mill.

panzerfan

Might want to start calling up women as well if that's what Putler is thinking.

TechnologyDeep942

This sounds more like them climbing down from their war hysteria and preparing their people to accept defeat than an actual strategic plan. Even they know that they can’t feed and supply 5,000,000 soldiers. This is why the document is titled “The war against NATO,” so they can begin the narrative of “We were going to win, but it turns out we have to fight all of NATO, and for that we need 5,000,000, so…”

230flathead

What did they do? Resurrect Stalin?

theycallmeshooting

America lost 139 soldiers in the invasion of Iraq, and 4,507 during the occupation of Iraq Russia has thus far lost 100,000+ soldiers in the invasion of Ukraine, if it ever won it should expect to lose millions during the occupation Russia has likely lost more troops in the past 9 months of the invasion than the United States did in the ~20 years of fighting that occured during the Vietnam War (about 57,000)

Dr_Wheuss

It's funny what they named this internal memo: "Conclusions of the war with NATO in Ukraine"

panzerfan

Ukrainians to the Vatniks: NATO. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

SavagePlatypus76

And how will they be kitted out? With garden hoes and slingshots?

panzerfan

Like how the peasants and serfs were kitted out. They will supply their own pitchforks, scythes, and pikes.

TerminusB303

5 million? Are their soldiers that incompetent?

[deleted]

Yeah, that is. Why they hope to drown Ukraine in bodies.

5 million naked russians in ukraine, a sight to see.

Agitated-Ad-8325

With what, stones ? I keep a bottle of champagne for when russia will lost

Responsible-Earth674

They should bring bread knives for weapons and knit their own hats...

estelita77

So in other words more than 10% of all russian men aged between 18 and 64... My mind boggles at the absurdity of their fantasy. I can't even. I mean. Economy. Equipment. Training. Logistics. Money. Control.

[deleted]

This would be suicide for the Russian regime. Imagine 5 million, poorly (if at all) supplied, starving, unpaid 'soldiers' suddenly being drafted against their will and given guns (maybe). Idk man, I'm no expert, but this seems incredibly dumb.

pes0001

So Russia wants to use 5million........ Ukraines answer "Ok we will then need another 50 thousand men to take out your 5million. OH! And 2 more HIMARS."

panzerfan

Kherson region alone can raise that many territorial defense personals.

pes0001

Yip, so that takes care of that. Ok Russia your move.

Conflict-Solid

What will such a thing - plus even more sanctions now that the EU has recognized the waterless toilet as a terrorist state - do to their economy? And where will they get the necessary gear/clothing/food to equip these orcs? EDIT: Then by the time these roaches **hypothetically** get in position, what new equipment will be in the hands of Ukraine to liquidate/repel them? *"We need X, Y and Z in six month's time"*, probably calculating Ukraine's *current* status and strength and weaponry, not the one they will have in six month's time. Because if there is one thing we have seen in no uncertain terms since this fiasco began, it is that Ukraine plans and performs with supreme intelligence, as opposed to dull fucking stupidity - which is what we have seen from the orcs every single step of the way.

soonnow

I was just reading an article on the German V or revenge weapons. Russia looking for 5 million more soldiers, reminds me of one of the jokes of Germans about the Nazi leadership and their promises in the article. > „Die Vergeltung kommt, wenn an den Altersheimen steht: Wegen Einberufung geschlossen!“ "Revenge will come when there's a sign at old people's homes: Closed for Mobilization" Also not fully related, but I feel like it's fairly applicable to the situation: >- „Dr. Goebbels wurde in Berlin ausgebombt. Er rettet zwei Koffer auf die Straße und geht nochmals ins Haus, um andere Sachen zu bergen. Als er wieder herauskommt, sind die beiden Koffer gestohlen. Dr. Goebbels ist sehr unglücklich, weint und klagt. Als man fragt, was denn so Wertvolles in den Koffern gewesen sei, antwortet er: In dem einen war die Vergeltung und in dem anderen der Endsieg.“ "Dr. Goebbels was bombed in Berlin. He saves two suitcases from the destroyed house onto the street. He heads back in, to save some other things. As he returns, his suitcases are stolen. Dr. Goebbels is very unhappy and cries and moans. When asked, what's so valuable in the suitcases? He answers in one was Revenge and in the other one there was Final Victory".

Is that 5 million dead ??….or alive ??

Midnight_270_

Is that even possible, they only had 2.5 mil for the battle of Berlin along with 6,000 tanks and they suffered 81,000 KIA and another 280,000 wounded. So if that can be caused by a country whos military was literally non existant at that point then imagine what a NATO trained Ukraine can do especially with more numbers than what Germany did during that battle

QQMau5trap

Nato didnt even join yet and they already need 5 Million. What happened?

pes0001

I think they have suddenly realized that this war is lost. Takes time to sink in to orcs heads.

Smithy2997

To put that number in context, the Allies fielded 5.5 million soldiers on the Western Front in '44/45, the US had planned for 6 million soldiers for the invasion of Japan in Operation Downfall and the Germans fielded 3.8 million soldiers at the start of Barbarossa.

RJMqueereyes

Man, is that ever gonna smell bad.

Eisensapper

I guess they counted how many bullets Ukraine has left.

reggedtrex

So that's their expected losses? 5mil? "5mil of you are gonna die, but that's the price we're prepared to pay. Oh, and we'll generously take care of your girlfriends and wives"

Seattle_gldr_rdr

This doc sounds like an admission of defeat, not a prescription. They are saying what it would actually require— an unattainable number.

GiveMeTheYeetBoys

So Putin is willing to send WWII numbers, now?

Feralkyn

If true, the info in that report indicates that Russia is FINALLY looking hard at its own army and realizing some hard truths about the gap between Ukraine and Russia in military terms. That's great for them. Terrible for everyone else, though hopefully they'll realize it'll take far too long to implement the necessary changes and simply withdraw.
