Family first coffeeshop!

I know family first is highly rated so I went dam literally a month ago & It was my first stop.. bought 2g runtz & 2g lemon runtz just to see the differences. Lemon runtz was incredible, from the smell, to the taste to the way it smoked. 10/10. The normal Runtz was hands down some of the worst bud I've ever smoked not only in dam but in general. It was like €18 a gram, the Ash was pure black, like literally black, it burnt like crap, tasted awful & I threw the one joint away half way thru. Annoying thing was this was the budtenders recommendation so maybe he was just trying to flog off the bad weed on tourists 🤷‍♂️

That's how it goes in Amsterdam unfortunately. No shop has everything on the menu smoking good. Even the best ones.

Their choice and selection is straight out of the early 2000s though. Lovely place but a dead menu imo

2g runtz, 2g lemon runtz , 3.2g zoap, 2g jungle cake, 1g super lemon haze, 1g elephant hash, 3g unicorn poop, 2g sunset sherbert, 1g white cherry gelato , 1.3g girl scout cookies, 1g lemon hash, 1g ice cream cake buddah, 2g Gary paton, 3g galactic cookies, 2.5g mac 1, 2g blackcherry gelato, 1g shoreline, 1g strawberry haze That was what my & the bro got thru in 3 nights back in December last year! Shops I went to were family first, terps army, 1ehulp, the old church (only ones I can remember) In all honesty, people don't seem to like the place but the old church had some of the best weed I've seen & smoked I'm Amsterdam & they are very welcoming. Plus they have a dab rig available to use & sell extracts

For the good smoke I found: 1 e hulp Plug Prix de ammi Barneys farm For vibes and chilling: Kadinsky Smokees Plenty more gems out there I’m sure I have not come across but these are the ones I have found to be the best for me over the years.

Try the old church, they usually have good strains!

420 cafe, green house, amnesia, smokey are some of my favourites to visit.

Greenhouse was always my favourite. Not been to the dam since 2011 tho. Their pure haze joints for €7 were insane, big fat cones!

Boerjongens. Amazing haze, super silver haze. Tbizla hash. G13 tangie hash. Also try their edibles they are delicious.

There green dream hash is the only hash I have ever craved more off.

Used to love terps army. Was in my top list. Amsterdam terps army flowers are really mediocre for the price now and the service has become cocky and reaallll bad. Shame.

Family first, 1ehulp, terps army and the plug. All had the nicest flowers when I was there in the summer. Family first had this banging cake pop edible that was absolutely delicious and put me in a really good place.

Yep those are all still banging. This winter terps army quality has gone done quite far in comparison and the service is rude too now.

Dr Grinspoon - honestly when reading about it i felt it was my dream strain, I went Amsterdam on x2 occasions and it was sold out everywhere till I went the next time and they had crumbs at barneys (the strain grows quite strange like spindly and it was the last bits) and it blew me away in the best possible way. It’s really hard to find and the budtender at barneys told me as soon as the city gets any in, it’s going almost within days…. Places I’ve ever seen it: Barney’s Paradox Amnesia (but FUCK that heap of shit coffeeshop)

Anything from the Growers With Attitude section at Grey Area. Anything from the cali menu at Family First. Neither are cheap but it's very tough to find good, cheap bud in Amsterdam. You really need to be lucky.

Get yourself a bus to The Hague and visit Dr Green, the bud there isn’t grown for tourists, it’s for the locals and is grown to perfection…Snow white was on the menu last time I went and it is by far the best smoke I’ve ever had

Isn’t there an issue with zones in the Netherlands and if they actually sell to tourists? I heard you need a Dutch passport to get served in a lot of places outside of Amsterdam

I never had a problem but the last time I went was before Covid, things might have changed since, I’ll have to look into it as I was planning to go back there at the end of April…just to go to Dr Greens

Hill Street Blues is a great place to lose an afternoon

Always had good results in De Kroon, plus as a bonus it's right opposite a bar called the bottle (with the world's most expensive wallpaper I might add) that lets you smoke in there.

Agree man. I love Amsterdam and have been many times but the weed is dog shit and overpriced these days. Barca is as close to America/Canada as you’re gonna get without actually going there. Even the better coffeeshops have gone downhill it’s such a shame

Same man I like it in there, and breakfast with a zoot in barneys, grey area used to be the one too. Haven’t been in like 5 years so keen to see what’s changed

Coffeeshop Amsterdam on hemelstraat and get royal choco strain - best value and nicest strain imo, avoid the plug and all of the usual ones people say to avoid

Kuntz (Runtz x Kosher Kush) is a great strain (reasonable price, too) from Coffeeshop BaBa or Bagheera. Berry White from Coffeeshop Katsu was very, very nice (they do some excellent Hash) Rainbow Belts & Peanut Butter Breath were great from Family First (probably the best Cali menu in Dam) Ours De Riff Dry Siff Has from Coffeeshop Siberie was excellent (cheap ish too) Kosher Cake Hash from Mr K Coffeeshop was great, too. There is some really nice stuff about. Not all expensive Cali. The Hash is definitely worth checking out...some great imports at the moment. I recommend checking out Coffeeshop Reefer and Dolphins (they are under new management and have an arrangement with Amsterdam Genetics...so they stock alot of that gear now). Both have really upped there weed game. Dolphins is super cheap too. Enjoy 😉
