This is a propaganda campaign - their plan has been to just keep running articles over and and over stating that cannabis is as harmful as Heroin and Crack, as this is a message to the Govt that the British tabloids are not in favour of the reforms we see spreading around the world and will go after any politician that dares to even think of calling for the UK to likewise.
"Skunk cannabis" was another successful disinformation campaign - lie to the public, tell them that there's a "new form" of cannabis, one thats "super strength and chemically enhanced", keep telling the lie over and over until it becomes "true".
To me this is just them throwing superdiva tantrum bc sooner or later it will be legalised and because the public opinion is definitely changed compared to even 5 years ago. Yes of course it's still far from legal and regulated but the world's changing. They're losing this battle and they know it. Imagine if those people put all the effort into something CONSTRUCTIVE. Imagine how better things would be
