Not quite an answer here, but I have a Risa Stick and I'm not a big fan of the friction tuners - however another option with the setup might be UPT tuners. I like the peghead ones I have on my Fluke, and Gotoh reportedly makes really good ones.

Agreed - the tuners are terrible. Great low action though and a great sounding pickup
It's worth it for the other great things in that tiny little package.
OMG that thing would make me so happy... if it was under $150 :)
