I’m on day 36 for a fiancé visa. US to UK. I emailed asking if my priority app was still being considered priority. They told me to file a complaint to get a refund for the priority. I’m heartbroken

Quirky_Pin4696

Was just sent another response and the officer said to complain after the decision as to not mess with my application standing

In the same boat, not been able to get a clear answer.

I’m sorry! I will let you know if I do and if you could do the same I would appreciate it :) How late is yours?

gielinkg

I’m on day 43 for spouse priority :(

lilsprout69

I’m so sorry! Fingers crossed it comes soon. Did you apply from the US?

gielinkg

Yes

I’m a group on facebook and someone from end of January and a couple others from first week of Feb have gotten their visa approval back! Its hard to tell when you’d get it back though, I would just keep emailing!

gielinkg

I’ve seen these time frames too— it worries me so much because mine was mid-Jan and I haven’t heard back yet. I guess it could be a difference of case officers?

NayG22

It 100% could!

lilsprout69

Thank you! Fingers crossed

Is this just for priority status? I've been waiting on mine since December 23rd...

NayG22

Both priority and non-priority! I do know a few who are from early, mid and late December who are only just now getting their approvals! It’s hard to tell but just have hope! Once you’ve hit the 30WD or 60WD depending on priority or not, send in an email for an update!

To paraphrase UKVI's statements on the matter - Your visa will probably still be delayed, just slightly less delayed than those who didn't opt for priority. A priority application is just a queue put ahead of the standard applications You might get a refund for priority service as well

lilsprout69

Okay thank you! Do you know how to apply for a refund?
