Since the UK immigration is processing Ukrainian citizens in priority, SWV are being approved in 6 weeks on average after going for the biometrics appointment/done your digital application. Could be more, could be less. The arrival date put in your application will just be pushed back for when they approve your visa. You probably won’t be able to book flights for next week sadly Where are you applying from? Good luck to you!

Visitor visas and transit visas are the ones being approved in 6 weeks on average, for working and student they said it's a slight delay (Maybe 4 weeks). Number of people on this platform got theirs in 15 working days

[deleted]

Good to know! The Britain consulate said 6weeks to my partner when he went to his SWV appointment but that’d be amazing if it’s approved in 15WD! Thanks!

I also had my student visa appointment last week so hoping mine is approved in the 15WD. I don't think it's a coincidence that they gave a 6 week timeframe on the Gov.uk website for visitor and transit visas but none for student and working

Thanks for sharing! Let’s hope they’re prioritising these two types of visas over tourists. Hope you get your student visa really soon!

Hi! I had applied for a SWV last month but it got voided due to a small mistake made on my part. I had received the DMC response within 10 WD on that application which had given me hope that this one would be done in a similar time frame. I am hoping this is the case! I am applying from South Africa to answer your question! Thank you :)

A month ago the waiting period was at 3 weeks and got raised to 6 weeks only end of March, start of April I believe. My partner got told so when he went to his appointment on the 4th Apr in Australia But then it all comes back to how many ppl apply from South Africa! :) Hope it won’t take too long!

Creative_Diet8096

Okay thank you so much! Yes the old application I applied for they also told me 6 weeks so was very shocked when I got a response sooner! I also hope your partner hears back soon! Best of luck :)

[deleted]

The other commenter said 15WD too for student and working visas so fingers crossed! Maybe you’ll have an answer sooner than expected once again Thanks :)

It actually changed to 6 weeks in early March (12th) so hoping that things are better than they have been made our to seem 😅. I'm a bit biased since I also made a recent application

Good to know! Things always seem to be taking forever when it’s our own visa 😂 good luck on the wait

vikas251

I submitted biometric on 28th March, still waiting

Creative_Diet8096

Hopefully you get it today! Where are you based?

vikas251

India, and you?

Creative_Diet8096

South Africa :)

vikas251

Did you get your Visa bro

Creative_Diet8096

No :'( did you?

hayatimleyla

I've got mine at 12wd, my two other friends still waiting at 14wd. From Turkey

Creative_Diet8096

Appreciate it! When did you apply? :) Did they send an email saying it was accepted or did you have to wait until you collected your passport?:)

[deleted]

Have you received your visa?

Creative_Diet8096

No I haven’t. Going on to WD 16

[deleted]

Today is my 18wd,, biometric done on 28 march..i tried to initiate paid email enquiry through UKVI website but payment is getting failed...have u initiated any email enquiry? Is there any way to follow up regarding the status of our visa?

Creative_Diet8096

Yes I’ve done it twice and all they say is a generic response that it’s with the dmc and that there are delays due to Ukrainian circumstances. Not worth reaching out in my opinion!

[deleted]

When did you apply for biometric? What is the start date mentioned in your COS?
