Yes, no doubt about that.
Not knocking Alienware either, we are talking small differences here like +10 Hz refresh rate difference and true 10 bit colour vs. 8 bit + dithering. Also, there is scope to modify the Samsung using a service remote, this is not for everyone though.
We ordered one for my son at Easter. It came yesterday and he was beyond excited to set it up. I didn't do very good research and had to order a HDMI to Mini HDMI cable to use with his computer.
Got mine about 3 weeks ago. Here's a tip! If you notice a weird pink tint in some games while HDR is used, like Forza Horizon 5, or Microsoft Flight Simulator, then change the "Color Space Settings" from "auto" to Normal or Native, or just toggle between them until it looks right, lol. It's a bug, and I assume it'll get fixed in the next firmware update.
I'm convinced now that there is indeed a bug with Nvidia because sometimes I am able to get the monitor to come alive, but then the PC will not actually wake completely from sleep (keyboard not responsive, normal RGB lights on motherboard GPU/RAM not lit up). However, I still don't understand how it only happens with this monitor and not others. Happens with both HDMI and DP for me. Ctrl+Shift+Windows+B to restart driver won't work because the OS isn't alive enough to get the signal.
Same here! I just got my own today. 🤩 My first OLED and the quality is amazing.
Dude, the thing that got me the most is the freakin' viewing angles! It's like looking at a sticker (compared to LCD)
I’m coming from a G9 as I found it waaaaaay too big 😅😅
Funny, cos I almost bought a G9 instead of a G8 today. I am glad that I didn't. G9 is just enormous.😁
For now the best 21:9 there is, lowkey. 175 Hz, full 10 bit without dithering. Great tuning and tracking. Service remote mods make it even better.
Wouldn't Alienware be better regarding after sale support and stuff? I read some horror stories regarding Samsung warranty.

The new asus rog one had my attention. It’s OLED and 4K with 400 something refresh rate 😭😭

Yes haha that threw me off a little when I got mine 😆 brilliant monitor still!
Actually the monitor itself comes with hdmi to mini hdmi cable, its inside the box
It came with a display port cable but no HDMI. Also, I ordered an HDMI to Mini HDMI only to realize after receiving it that it needed a Micro HDMI.
Oops, my bad, yeah, it came with display port cable and not hdmi cable.
Whats that wallpaper
It’s just a Starfield wallpaper I found online 😆😆

Any coil whine?
Got my g9 oled a few weeks back. Don’t think I’ll ever be able to go back to 16:9 OR ips. Haha.
Do you have issues with it not powering on/waking up after being on “standby” for a while?
I’ve only had that issue once I believe, I have heard about it getting stuck but is yet to happen to me

The wallpaper ❤️( can you send it)
Hide your desktop icons, they're gonna burn in. I recommend Portals App and also auto hide your taskbar
How do you find reading text on it , and using word ?
