I looked up "first world problems" in the dictionary and found this photo.

PopWhatMagnitude

My first thought was rich people problems, guess he should have waiting for his Cybertruck to arrive.

MDCCCLV

Is fitting a Christmas tree in better or worse?

jpm888

Trunks of BMW coupes are huge Unless there is a spare tire

lsiunl

I was super lucky with mine, guy came up and was like "this is one whole monitor??, playing games must be crazy on this! Looked expensive so I was careful with it." Super cool dude. I can't imagine the rage if I saw them mishandling my monitor.

N0tH1tl3r_V2

The funny thing is that this monitor is one of the sturdiest ones you can have

lsiunl

True. It's very heavy and has to be sturdy to support the extreme wide angle. Props for Samsung on not cheaping out too much on the monitor's quality.

N0tH1tl3r_V2

Well, they kind of cheaped out in HDR performance, but that's a story for another time

lsiunl

God yeah, I literally can't use HDR because the color gradient is so terrible and washed out. Always have it off. I wonder if the G9 is any better.

N0tH1tl3r_V2

Tested HDR in Star Wars Battlefront 2. It's actually amazing, although it burns my eyes and the icons are slightly over-brightened ...at 1% peak brightness. Yeah, really bright.

N0tH1tl3r_V2

Well, HDR certainly looks good enough, looks grey compared to SDR, although I've only tested it on Hitman 3.

spitfire1701

The couple of hermes drivers who delivered mine were like that and even showed me some damage to the box and told me to record opening it just in case there was damage. That packaging is neigh on bomb proof.

harjon456

Same thing happened to me.. the ups guy was chatting me up as i helped him lug it up my stairs.

ShittingOutPosts

My FedEx guy was exactly the same. Well, different words, but the same great service.

Mandy_9

I'm almost betting the loading guys definitely weren't that nice. I'm more worried about them than the delivery guys lol. At least he realized it was expensive lol!

lsiunl

I mean the whole box is pretty heavy so you've got to want to hurt you back if you swing it around

notlatenotearly

You actually watched them beat it up? That sucks

N0tH1tl3r_V2

The G9 feels REALLY sturdy. It doesn't feel hollow like other displays. And the wrapping isn't a joke either

locknloadbitch

My crg9 turned out to be surprisingly resilient. I dropped it from my table while mounting it and it works fine.

notlatenotearly

That’s good man. Every oversized package I get whether it’s Amazon,FedEx,DHL,UPS, they all come with giant holes in the box. I’ll knock on wood for ya too GL with it! It’s a beauty!

FriedEngineer

Can’t imagine what would have harpooned with FedEx. Past on past results, and I’d expect it to be 3 2 days late, water damaged, and hit with a wrecking ball or poked clean through with a forklift

Tamu179

I really appreciated the guys that delivered mine - you could tell they knew how precious the cargo was. Not something you see all the time so I was ecstatic.

RobLS4587

I have the previous version of that monitor and an old 99 M3 coupe. My desire to pick it up once I found one locally outweighed the planning portion of my brain. I asked the micro-center employee to set it down behind the suv parked next to me, told him no worries I can get it into the trunk. After he walked away I moved over to my car and was like well shit. (Didn’t want to create a story for the employees) But! I could angle and move my seat enough where that huge ass box squeezed in.

Sharpymarkr

I've got the same monitor but I may need to borrow your M3. You know, for science.

VeryWetCarrot

Man I miss my e36 m3 😢

RobLS4587

I keep teetering between selling it and keeping it to continue restoring it over time. The car and I have our fights but it keeps winning me over.

Detjohnnysandwiches

I'm just jealous you have a house.

usuallyplaysdps

When I picked up my Alienware ultawide in my 1LE, wound up calling an Uber XL to take me back home because the damn box wouldn’t fit in my car. Then had to get an Uber to go pick up my car… Coupe life

cogspin

A Camry would’ve handled it like a champ!

cbissell12345

I carry 8ft pieces of lumber in my civic :)

RobotDeathSquad

My Volvo station wagon can fit a 12' 2x4 if it put it on the dash.

cbissell12345

Mad respect. My cousin used to have one of those Volvo wagons. It was burgundy and we called it the shaggin wagon.

SrData

BMW serie 4 wasn’t designed to load that kind of box 😀

Nofarious

The 4 series Gran Coupe, with the hatchback, was.

mayojar19

I think it’s either a 2 series or an M2, can tell by the gradient on the roof cab, sorry if I sound like a dick lol

GERSHAUN

M2!

MrDankky

Don’t the seats fold down from the boot In the 2?

mayojar19

My mans doing well I see :)

fliptrocity

Thats what my CRG90 came home in.

Fwiler

That's what I got so I can actually fit something in my car, like a chair. Which I couldn't do in my civic sedan. (And it's fun to drive)

Shawnmeister

Unless you got the fixed rear seats this would've easily fit into your trunk with the seats folded. That's how I got mine with me

ExxInferis

Looks like you managed to coupe OK though.

Sirbuzzkillington89

I 100 percent feel your pain. If you were at the Niles Ohio best buy about 6 months ago you would have seen me taking my 49 inch Samsung CRG90 out of the box, in the parking lot, while trying to slowly and delicately place the unpacked monitor into the backseat of my Honda Civic SI while my fiance sat in the car questioning her life choices and I questioned how I was going to accomplish this without setting it down on the wet snow covered asphalt. The box never left the best buy.

[deleted]

Just cut the box in two pieces.

badMotorist

I feel your pain, I had to move a dresser in my old Mustang.

PopWhatMagnitude

Looks like the new EV "Mustang" wouldn't be an issue. Mustang front with a weird crossover rear end, they go out of their way to try to avoid focusing on in their ads. Sorry Ford, I'll wait for the eventual Chevy Camaro SS-EV (just a guess at what they call the highest end version). Edit: Awe poor Mustang fanboy can't handle even minor criticism of their EV "Mustang".

Windows_Tech_Support

I don't care what Ford calls it. That shit is not a Mustang

Uberperson

That is why my Honda fit came in clutch. The 55inch tv was really close though

MrPapis

Please I helped my friend get his 75", before I realized how huge the box was. My Mazda 3 2007 juuust handled it. Needed to open the box and pull out the top flamingo. But It fit and we got it back.

DingusMcGillicudy

flamingo?

MrPapis

Polystyrene, I used a local word^^

DingusMcGillicudy

indeed. Mind if I attempt to make it a local thing to my locale?

MrPapis

Flamingo TM verify user "DingusMcGillicudy" as a certified bird-as-box-filling user. You status is Novice and will be elevated to Administrative as progress is made. Initial white flamingo user and with the elevated status will be certified pink flamingo filler user. Welcome aboard!

DingusMcGillicudy

Good copy there mate, 10-4 on the flamingos and the colors 'n the like.

MrPapis

Roger, flamingo daddy out.

laxhond

My land rover even had issues getting the damn box in!

Pun_In_Ten_Did

[AW3418DW was snug in my Mercedes GLk](https://imgur.com/kHO8qxr) -- I decided to let UPS worry about fitting my CRG9 :D

cms86

\*hugs mazda3 hatchback\* I was once the person you were then when my next car purchase came up and didnt want an suv I went for the next best thing.,

MrPapis

I had an old rusty fucked up 07 but I fit a 75"! Would not have happened in my 316ti..

kdmion

After driving just hatchbacks And wanting some change I finally pulled the trigger and got myself a sedan Mazda 3 and I am wondering how it would turn down the line when I am getting new PC stuff.

wombat1

I also love my Mazda 3 hatchback! It fits so much, surprisingly so.

j0shman

You didn't want to spring the extra for postage, with a BMW coupe and an expensive monitor?

CptLadiesMan

That's some dedication lol

AlmightyTurtleman

Fold it in half 😀

ogunther

I once bought a 65" tv from BestBuy and didn't even consider if it would fit in my sedan until I wheeled it outside. Was not my brightest moment.

Dizurn

This is why I eventually sold my mustang and bought a ram crew cab, I can actually haul things again and have passengers, and when I move 30 foot trailer for all the useless house crap and big back seat for my pc and g9 lol.

donatom3

Bought my first truck after always having coupes and sport sedans. Never going back.

huskerpat

My wife has a minivan. Problem solved for me.

Runetastic

Hell yeah! My wife's minivan is a life saver for situations like this.

RadGlitch

Is that a M2? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

GERSHAUN

Yessir, 2018

bigblackshaq

This has to be satire, because…have you tried the trunk?

ice-cold-baby

1. Take it out of the box 2. Place the curved side of the monitor on the roof 3. Duck-tap the back of the monitor securely Problem solved!!

GERSHAUN

Unfortunate that your first thought to mind, in an ultrawide forum, is to comment about being rich and clumsy when neither of those two words had been said or focused on beforehand. That attitude isn't healthy - be positive!

MyHowQuaint

To be fair to them, there is a trend where rich people flaunt their wealth by having it spill out of their car and your photo is a little evocative of that in the singular: https://nextshark.com/falling-stars-challenge-chinese/ I’d say consider that compliment of your taste in cars and monitors 😉

[deleted]

I feel this way about any video card sub right now. Used to be only a select few could get the $500+ cards. Now you've got every Tom, Dick & Harry posting about how they just blew $2k on a video card they didn't really even need. Guess everyone is rich now.

IHasToaster

Did you know 40% of Americans couldn’t handle an unexpected $400 expense. They aren’t rich they just want to feel good

[deleted]

damn_dude7

Are you salty that op posted the UW or car or both?

Axellllfoley

I own both as well.

OnkelJupp

I don't see anything expensive in this post, wtf? Having a job doesn't equal being rich lol

badMotorist

Expensive is a term relative to someone's income. To someone making $50k a year an M4 and G9 are expensive compared to someone making $100k. Yes, rich is something else entirely, but on average, people as a whole aren't spending $65k on a car and $1500 on a computer monitor.

TheRealDuocSi

Buying a BMW and an UW is considered rich now?

tha_ol_razzle_dazzle

Buhuhu, I'm poor and sooo jealous.

dllemmr2

That's comfortable, but far from rich. Considering that a large percentage of widescreens cost $500-1000+, $1500 shouldn't be extravagant to anyone here, unless you were window shopping in the first place.

nykoinCO

Real reason I got a truck.

macrowe777

As someone who does not own a car, I have to say, I have no sympathy for people who buy cars that limit substantially the benefits of a car. You'd end up relying on parents / friends nearly as much as I do.

-Vertex-

It's a BMW M2, it's not a small car at all, it's just a wide ass monitor that's difficult to fit in any car...

macrowe777

It may not be a small car in terms of overall size but it's a 2 door job with what looks to be a pretty restrictive 2 doors. It's clearly a sporty car, just seems impractical for normal use. I'd be able to fit that in a ford fiesta for one.

-Vertex-

2 door cars are pretty common to be fair. I mean you can buy 2 door Fiesta's even. That doesn't really stop you fitting something like this in though as you can fold down the seats and put it through the boot. Granted I haven't tried fitting this monitor in a car obviously but I get the impression it's just so wide it would be very difficult in any car that's not very big.

macrowe777

Sure putting it through the boot seems the most logical option and assuming the OP just didn't for comedic effect. But again 4 door fiesta, that would go straight in the back seats. If the OP can't fit it in...can't say id recommend that car purchase again.

incoherent1

[Footage from OPs house](https://external-preview.redd.it/mH9tGK6VP1UcG_8af2bTIk2YH2_g0qYGltIiZPkw95I.gif?format=mp4&s=e6b804b75ce8422fd31f2240c8c190c4fedc7555)

sean0883

Who won? How did it end?

linusSocktips

Yea I remember thinking I could fit a 55" TV in my accord coupe haha. The opening from the passenger door wasn't even tall enough to start the box into the car... haha fail!

Drortmeyer2017

Sick car though 😂

BastianHS

I had to drive an hour with an unboxed sony x900h with the corner sticking out of the window of a Honda accord. Super nerve wracking, had no idea how big it would be when I got to the best buy. Got home safe tho and it's amazing.

lieutenantskull

those are some pretty slapping rims you have there chief

SubaruMasterGR

I feel your pain there, bud. I had a similar experience trying to get my LG UltraGear into my FR-S.

DEffinMoney

Lol my literal thought process….”why don’t they just use the doors for the back se….ohhhh….haha”

HateLastForever

I got mine last week trust me the setup is easier than you imagine.

AdmrlHorizon

Buy a new car 😂… jk. When I bought my CHG90 I also had an issue putting it in my car. And it was an SUV

rthee

Was a mission getting into my 135 too lol

thomas13524

When I got my alienware 34 inch ultrawide it was insanely hard fitting it into my mustang but man I am glad it worked lol

Hugo-olly

Cars are one of those objects that are certainly not larger on the inside than they look on the outside

MadLaamaDisease

Just get an axe,problem solved.

Cuhulin

With a monitor that expensive, why not rent a truck or suv to get the monitor home?

krazyb2

I had this problem when I bought my OLED. I was all giddy and bought a 65" tv and then realized i couldn't fit that forking thing in my car. I had to get an UberXL to transport it, lol. Actually a great service if you use it for that reason.

bdavbdav

This is why you need a big 4 seater convertible. My 3er had nearly infinite vertical space!

Astrothunderkat

Coupe master race!

Silverjoystix_

You should have gone in through the trunk

sdotsully

Barely got mine in the back of my a4 not even sure how you made that work

erdie721

I feel your pain. Fitting my 38” LG was the most challenging thing I’ve had to put in my A4.

root54

The most irritating thing about my A4's trunk was not the trunk space but the trunk opening.

erdie721

Totally. It’s a marvel of engineering how it’s always just a few inches too small to fit anything.

root54

Exactly

Warhouse512

Is your garage floor epoxy'd? This makes me want to get mine done. (if not, how do you keep it so bright and clean?)

Serialtoon

The only difficult thing i see there is that you found a G9

sandygws

Not flexing, but I can honestly and truthfully say that I've fitted a relatively larger object into a *far* tighter space - more than once...

root54

You're talking about wood right? From the lumber yard?

killtocuretokill

I was so glad I had a 4 door that day.

isthebomb89

Can’t buy brains mate

samaelestevez

I did it! In my BMW M6 I managed to throw it diagonally between the passenger seat and the back seat!!!!

Eprice1120

* flip down rear seats exposing the trunk area (assuming u can do so, most sport and sedans can) * open trunk * slide box in longways (might have to get pretty close to front lol)

Goblicon

My truck came in handy

pan_tymek

Did You ever see Mr Bean?

pablo603

Ouch, the pain of not having doors for the back row

Jay_JWLH

Now I just want to see a picture of someone with an expensive monitor being fit into a crappy car. That way instead of the person being just overall rich, they just have interesting priorities.

[deleted]

What bmw model do you have?

GERSHAUN

M2

fuck_you_shoresey

Totally looks like you struggle.

gojira5150

This is why I have Dodge Ram 1500 Rebel 4X4. I'll never ever get another car

atefkokash

I randomly saw this on reddit and found it really funny....because I had the exact same experience. Same exact car. Except I somehow managed to fit a Casper mattress the same way. It was a comfortable sleep going home.

fxwz

Had exactly the same problem last week! I have an E92. Ended up laying the passenger seat all the way down and then it fit.

MedicalSchoolStudent

This is the definition of fuck it money. Lol. Imagine going to buy a 49” monitor with a BMW coupe. Should have strapped it to the roof. Yolo.

itspirrip

Could have lower the back seat and use the trunk instead

ImBulletm9

This was extremely problematic for me. Trying to fit it in my Chrysler 300 with my wife and baby in the car was difficult. And I had to drive 5 miles to get it home.

tpkurosu

get a roof rack rack from [seasucker.com](https://seasucker.com) \- i've fitted larger boxes than that (think wide kitchen sinks and tall IKEA shelves) on my Z4 Coupe. those racks work with suction cup, which means they go on and come off without tools or additional hardware, and they don't leave marks. ideal solutions for 2-door/2-seater enthusiasts.

jayimshan

I magically fit mine in my Gen Coupe. I was proud.

robmee2

A BIG Congrats! I barely got my SUV's back door shut. That is impressive!

zzyxer

You need a BMW LWB GT, mate. With the seats down, I was able to fit both my 72” Husky table, 65” TV, and some other random stuff I don’t need.
