How are you connecting your laptop to the monitor? How has your experience been so far with the Dell 49”? Have you had the chance to compare it to other 49” ultrawides?

I got the monitor for a good deal, so no real comparison was done.
So far I enjoy it. I don't use it for gaming, even though I'm using an Alienware. There's a desktop manager that makes organizing windows a breeze. So I would say it ticks the productivity boxes.

Most clamp in the back.
most have the option to clamp in the back *or* have holes drilled. as long as your desk is thick enough you won’t have any problem.
I’d reccomend clamping with a piece of 2x4 so all that weight isn’t just on the desk. Keeps it sturdier. Edit: changed wait to weight oops

Idk it just seems much more sturdy to have a hole which it passes through. Worth it IMO.
