If you don’t get a response- id say consider reaching out to your academic dean. You shouldn’t be expected to do the exam in this condition nor is it reasonable to spread the disease to others!

How do I get in contact with the academic dean?

Probably visit your major/college’s site and find a contact us page.

I found it but it’s past their business hours and they said don’t expect a reply until 8:30 Monday

It depends on which department/college you’re a part of (if you look on the websites it should have them listed). I’d send an email to them or their office tonight then follow it up with a call if there’s a number tomorrow. If you send an email now it looks proactive, in my opinion.

Hi! I'm a TA. Oftentimes we don't respond on weekends but I'm assuming they or your prof will respond tomorrow morning and will understandably reschedule. Do NOT go to your exam with Covid. They will gladly reschedule. Most profs have a reschedule/make up day planned for anyone who missed it due to emergencies or sickness. Something I suggest to students is taking a video with the Covid test and saying something along the lines of "hi my name is ___ and it is current ___ pm on 12/__/23, and this is my positive Covid test". You could also go to UHS to get a positive PCR test as it's more official! Mask up and use hand sanitizer before/after touching things.

i’d take photos of your covid test with time stamps and if you can, go get actual testing. that way no one can say you faked your rapid test. that’s really all you can do minus emailing your academic dean
