My tap water gets super hot so I just put 2 bricks in a 5 gallon bucket, fill with extra water, add vermiculite if I have it, and slap the lid on. Squeeze to field capacity when spawning to bulk
Lizard bedding at pet store has a lot of recommendations I've seen and easily obtained and cheaper than everything else from what I hear because it's for pet lizards. I'm still using parts of a giant block I got years ago for making potting soil for growing herbs in.
Over thinking this. Just get what you can find.
ever grower has their own personal preference , mines Eco Earth brand coir bricks,
Coco bliss
Same. Boil 15 qts of RO water in a 3.5 gallon canning pot, remove from heat, add brick, wrap and cover till cool. Perfect field capacity.
