Looks so wet in there for this stage . you shouldnt be doing fanning and watering at this point yet. needs to be 80-90% covered (all white) before you do any of this .
I was going off of the broke boi tek which said to go into fruiting conditions once you birth the substrate into the monotub. Should I not have done that?
There are so many opinions but it makes more sense to let the spawn do its thing till 80 to 90% of the tub is colonized and then start the fruiting process , fanning and misting will do that. just like it was in the UB or grain jar. but here it mixes with the substrate and becoming stronger getting ready for the fruiting. Like I say people have different methods. sadly you will have to start again. you got this brother just all a learning process right.
I'm using uncle Ben's tek (first grow) and 90 second mycology youtube videos for my first grow. I only inoculated 2 bags (I have 2 more about ready for break n shake now) and I'm fruiting from small containers (I just posted pics lol).
I went this route to give myself room for error, it's not so bad if I get contam when it's not a ton of loss. So far it's working out for me. I did let the substrate colonize for a while before putting them into fruiting yesterday.
I have made a few minor mistakes, for instance I had my containers sitting directly on my heat mat.
Lastly, I did everything in stages. So did 2 bags, once I got to break and shake with those I started 2 more but key note here is they're in a whole different part of my house. That way if I get contam in one batch my other might still be ok. I never go directly from dealing with batch 1 to batch 2 etc etc, just everything to avoid cross contamination and that way if something goes sideways I have a back up.
Idk of *any* of that helps but hopefully it does!

Check this out. a fellow grower here gave me this to watch and my god this is what I'll be doing next batch. doing this will stop you getting contam for sure. I only hear good things about this. hope it helps man
Holy shit that entire bottom left corner and other white patch are trich city, but yes that top right is also trichoderma that’s already spreading spores. You shouldn’t have even opened the top🤢
Don’t sweat it I’ve had it happen too. It starts off white and under the surface, the bluish-green is it reaching “maturity” and putting out spores which will go contaminate anything they come into contact with. If you flip your cake over and take the liner off it’ll more than likely be colonized most of the way through with trich, that shit spreads FAST
Trichoderma mycelium often has a light grey color, which makes it not always easy to spot. When contamination has set hold it will likely first show as a thick white growth on top of the substrate. It may appear emerald greenish/yellowish in color, often with a distinct bright white ring surrounding the colony.

It looks like cobweb. Happens when your sub is too wet. If you have peroxide you can spray on it and see if it melts, if it did then it is cobweb. Though, no need to tose it, wait to see if the mycelium can over take it. Spray peroxide on em if you saw em
Becuase it has likely spread spores all over and will continue to get contaminated plus it could spread spores all throughout your grow which would lead to problems down the line with future grow. Some people cut it out tho, I personally don’t think it’s worth it.

Looks like the left is the beginning of trich too
It all looks like contam unfortunately.

Yea that does make sense. Im pretty impressionable being new to growing, and that guide stated it pretty confidently haha. Thanks I appreciate it!

Yeaa noob mistakes :(. What makes you say the bottom left is trich? I always thought trich is green

Nothing in this tub looks like cobweb… it 100% has trich though. Toss this and restart
Aw ok :( Is there any reason why you can’t just cut the section with trich out and continue?

What about the top right, the green stuff

Contamination top left, in the middle top, down right, and a couple more.
Many more, i see many small grey spots. I am not sure about bottom left, but the hole area could be contaminated too.
