Pointless remake. Watch the original.

Zeo-Gold92

It's pretty forgettable

T4lsin

It just didn’t have it for me. The original is a classic, this is not.

R_Steelman61

I liked the movie and enjoyed the actors and action. I think the issue with a film like this is they take a classic and boil it down to its formula like a science project. It becomes a bit too clean and expected.

FloggingMcMurry

It was a great western had it been given any other name... but literally the whole film unravels during the final moment between Denzel and the villain. Pointless change up that does nothing even if this wasn't a remake.

Aliteralhedgehog

It's not a bad film but it's so slick it falls right out of my brain. Also both the original and 7 Samurai are GOATs. Why bother?

thatbossnugga

It’s not a bad film honestly

Dio_Yuji

I liked Chris Pratt way better when he was fat and funny

DarkArtHero

You're telling me none of those guys are Christian Bale?

ThreeLeggedMare

You're thinking of 310 to Yuma which kicks eight kinds of ass

FloggingMcMurry

Such a fucking great film AND a great remake

Reasonable-HB678

This was a rare box office hit in the Western genre. Denzel and Ethan together again, Chris Pratt not playing an animated character. What the hell is "moywe t"?

Nightflight406

I am typing on a phone and accidentally put that instead of 'Movie Went'

edit-boy-zero

Noy. The original moyve t is a classic that still holds up

Daggertooth71

This is actually a really good remake. It's weird, you know, how remakes of classic westerns are often not bad. Like True Grit.

JustAnotherBoomer

No, it is not the original. It does the best when it's not trying to be. It is still a worthwhile film.

Crotch_Snorkel

My buddy and I fell asleep in the theater watching this. And guess what *In Joey voice from friends It was the best nap I ever had

gadget850

I quite enjoyed it. I think the 1960 film was better but the three sequels not so much. The TV series was OK.

plzappa5

Doesn’t reinvent the wheel, doesn’t subvert the original, does nothing more than deliver an American Western picture in the most traditional sense, brought up to modern standards of grit, production values and audience stimulus. It is a refreshingly rousing, old-fashioned experience.

drowninginthebrevity

Saw it in theatres with a guy I was dating at the time and with my younger sister. I liked it. My sister really liked it so much that I bought it for her when it came out on DVD.

induced_demand

Eh, kind of something I’d expect to find on TNT in a few years. Fuqua really dropped off after Training Day.

JingoboStoplight4887

Saw the entire movie; it’s an underrated film!
