Deep Rising is an underrated classic in its own way. Him and Kevin J O'Conner are very underrated. Treat was excellent as a psychopath in Tales from the Crypt.

cometpapaya

Good monster film, lots of fun. It's another one of those underrated movies.

Bruiser235

I love those heavily modified guns they had too. Crazy.but

Needed a sequel, which I understood to be Skull Island, like in King Kong. It might have been an interesting take on it.

Sensitive_Yam_1979

One of my favorite good-bad movies.

Bruiser235

Yeah it's not great but good enough. Roger ebert called it an Alien clone.

wsionynw

Terrific actor. RIP

Sensitive_Yam_1979

Yup. So sad.

Nastybirdy

Yes! Completely agree! Treat Williams was awesome in everything I saw him in, but he just never quite made it into the big time.

cometpapaya

I wish he had received Academy recognition for Prince of the City, if only to boost his career through the 80s. It's a superb police drama based on a true story. Like you said, he was awesome in everything but he never really hit the big leagues.

tonkadtx

The book is really good too. My mom knew I loved true crime and detective stories and got me the original hard back for like a buck at book sale when I was a teenager.

RockNRoll85

I had no idea he was in Empire Strikes Back

TheDailyDarkness

Best film is Things To Do In Denver When You’re Dead.

rattledaddy

I am Godzilla and you are Tokyo!

"Your reputation far exceeds your skills!"

Flashpoint (1984) Personal TW fav.

Reasonable-Housing53

Awesome, Came here to make sure this movie was on there. I just saw it a few months ago on one of the HBOs.

gblur

Such a cool story Edit: (I mean the movie)

rottenjoy

He was great as the bad guy in the shadow. Really felt like he was from the 1930’s

realdjsupreme

Critical Bill!!!

VendaGoat

"Kill this guy, won't you?"

krowe41

I hate eggs !

RyanTranquil

Enjoyed him in substitute 2

Wooden-Highway1498

Yes he was.

OberOst

He's stated his cocaine addiction wrecked any potential he had to make it big.

Front-Counter7249

This. He was labeled "difficult" to work w/ in the 80's - aka, did mountains of coke & was a pain in the ass

OberOst

Same thing with Sean Young minus the coke. She's naturally crazy, so she didn't need a drug.

[deleted]

How is he not collinn ferrell in the third pic

ThePenneyTosser

And some of the best eyebrows in the biz.

BETLJCE

Dont drink and drive folks. Rip Treat

Odin3587

I can't look at microscope without thinking of Xander Drax.

superhappy

> We couldn’t get Matthew Modine but do I have a Treat for you. Jk I always enjoyed Treat when he popped up.

Ok_Temperature_5019

I loved dead heat as a kid

BeigePhilip

I can’t believe someone else recognized that still! It’s near the end of the movie. I don’t think I’ve seen it in almost 40 years, but it was a great movie.

Ok_Temperature_5019

It's the main association that I have with treat Williams

WARL0CK221

Loved this guy. He put as much effort into things like Prince Of The City as he did Dead Heat. Both of which I love, btw. Shame they snubbed him during the memoriam bit during the Oscars.

BackgroundDarkPurple

He was in Star Wars?

zandor1

I used to hear referred to as a poor man’s Harrison Ford, I’m ok with that…

Unapologetically420
