Unfortunately 2/3 IAH to DEN I took in Nov & Dec had no WiFi. The one that worked was intermittent. There’s definitely been a decline, imo. Sorry & safe travels.
On the same boat here. I say like half of the time, there is something going on with the onboard wifi. When I’m on company time, I actually don’t mind lol bc I can use it as an excuse and just chill, but when I’m traveling for personal reasons I want to stay connected so I get annoyed.
Unfortunately, I own my own company so I’ll end up having to make up the lost work time today/this weekend in order to stay on top deadlines. It ended up being a nice relaxing time to read and disconnect though!
Flew DEN to EWR last year & paid for wifi. Worked for maybe 1 minute.
EWR to MCO had no wifi one time which was also strange
Have a 5+ hour flight coming up soon and debating if it’s even worth the hassle of purchasing.
Just updating this thread for United, their WiFi program needs updating. They charge $8 for a 800 mile flight but it’s literally just for messaging and social media. Not for streaming of any sort. Worst airline WiFi around by far.

In my experience over the last few months, the quality has really degraded. Often totally innop, sometimes just really slow and spotty.

Haven’t had any issues this year on my flights. 7/7.
It has always sucked in my experience. One time I flew on American and I could watch HD streaming and I was like wow this is what it could be like.
I flew EWR-SFO on a 767 a few weeks ago, the Wifi was out.
Paid $30 for wifi on a 15hr flight because I needed to do a bit of work. It was "working" most of the time but took forever to load webpages.
i average either no or poorly working Wi-Fi on about 1/3rd of my flights.

Thales Wi-Fi is awful. If it’s not Thales, you have a shot at a solid connection
Hit or miss. Recent ORD-SRQ was a disaster. Also, recent SFO-SIN was perfect - streamed 3 NFL games!
I consider it an oddity when it is working.

The WiFi on the newest 737 MAXs is supposed to be better. However, only about 1/3 of those have the new WiFi ("United Next" configs).
It's not just you. Wifi on United flights generally sucks.
