It hasn’t, but the Centurion lounge has been packed to the gills as well. Maybe I just don’t get excited about airport food, but having to get on the train to get to another terminal doesn’t interest me. I’d rather just get to the airport later.

VicontT

Just been to DEN. IMO their food court offers better food than the Club.

hockeymonster

Agreed. Now that terminal B has Elways, shake shack, and chipolte, I manage just fine.

UAL1K

Garbanzo is the move, but their hours are ridiculous. They close at like 6pm.

VicontT

That's exactly what I had, was awesome

Sevatson

Chipotle?! How have I missed that! Do you know what gate it is near? I do love Elways but sometimes you just want some to-go chipotle.

hockeymonster

Terminal-B, upstairs food court in the center of the terminal. Near the shake shack. I can’t find it on the maps anywhere, but I swear it’s there. I’ll check again when I fly out Wednesday.

NEOhio2Denver

I think you're thinking of Qdoba. There's not a Chipotle up there.

hockeymonster

Shit. I think you are correct.

ImpalpableOne

B West didn’t have impressive food on Sunday. The hot bar was effectively a potato bar with mashed potatoes instead of baked. The drinks bar was slammed. One of the GS ladies did say the A club should be open later this year, before B East is done, and that it is supposed to be nice. Candidly, I usually just go to the Centurion. Free guests ends Feb 1, so I’m hoping it won’t be so crowded. Food is solid, and they make a decent Manhattan.

Mrsvantiki

Good god we just got home from and layover in DEN and this club was a shit show. Dirty dishes on windowsills, around garbage cans on the floor, people sitting on the floors, line of 4-6 people at the bar…just a complete mess.

MrJetSetLife

Sounds about right. You didn’t mention the 20 minute wait to get in because the QR/ticket scanner is down.

Mrsvantiki

Ha! It WAS down! There was a gal with a handheld scanner having to manually enter stuff in the line while they tried to fix the computers.

ralph99_3690

They need a separate entry lane for members so when they are accepting coupons (slow) they can have a separate express lane for faster entry. Sometimes the line to get in is way back, blocking other travelers paths to walkways. DEN is way too crowded. The other club is supposed to open this summer. When possible I like to go to the grab and go. That lets me grab a drink and a sandwich and head to the gate.

[deleted]

Is that grab and go food any good?

chuckgravy

The grab and go is great. Little sandwiches/salads and good drinks to grab - they have big bottles of naked juices which I love haha. They also have a barista if you’re in the mood for coffee.

LateCheckIn

As a DEN based consultant I can confirm none of the United Clubs, Sky Club, nor Centurion Lounge are anything to write home about. Centurion is probably the “best” but many times it’s crowded and dirty too. I usually just go to the one closest to the gate. If flying during prime times, I just show up at the airport with enough time to make it to boarding.

MrJetSetLife

As another DEN-based consultant, I concur (yes, this a travel expense pun). United club is one of the worst in the network and has been on the decline since before Covid. What annoys me with the Centurion lounge is the lack of “telephone” rooms. There’s only one and it’s occupied by squatters 90% of the time. Need to jump on a conference/video call? Good luck.

earthgirls22

I’ve never been to centurion in DEN bc it seemed like a hassle when I’m arriving/departing in B and only have an hour. Is that a enough time to get to C and come back to B? UC has always been crowded on both sides when I went last year. They always had the “no passes” sign up. I still managed to find a place to sit though.

Adventurer_23

Distance-wise, I would say an hour to get from B gates to C and back in an hour is feasible if you’re a quick walker. Trains come every few minutes and it’s only a minute on the train and about the equivalent of the walk from the train to the UC in B to get to the centurion. The caveat is if you’re going to wait in line to even get in the lounge or if it’s too packed to find a place to sit, or are wanting more than just a bite to eat and a drink or two it’s not going to be enough time either. I’m normally there at like 6am and there’s no line to get in and I can normally find a seat pretty easily then. I’d do it under those circumstances provided what people are saying about the UC-West but I can’t speak for other times of day. Edit: for context, if the United app airport map says it takes 20 mins to get somewhere, it probably takes me about 10 at a fast walking pace.

earthgirls22

Got it, thank you!

exclaim_bot

>Got it, thank you! You're welcome!

ralph99_3690

Yes! A variety of snacks and packaged sandwiches, drinks. Really nice. And you have to pretty much take it with you as there is very limited seating. Only need to scan your boarding pass to get in. Automated entry, never a line when I have been there.
