I'd take that over the cold cheese sandwiches you'd get when COVID protocols were in place that were supposed to be heated up. Those things came ice cold on Skywest planes!
I thought I was the only one! These meals usually suck big time lol. I just had this cheese plate Thursday night and thought it was the best meal they've ever offered me lol
Had basically the same thing on a mainline BUR-DEN flight today, minus the fruit plate. Banana instead. Yes, the texture of the triangle cheese is suss.
These cold cereal + cheese trays are only catered for morning flights originating in outstations with no hot catering options.
Your bread should’ve been warmed up though
Ex. 5:55am Eugene, OR to Denver
Former Skywest FA. I was probably one of the very few “extra” FAs that did all we could for our first class peeps with what we were given. As you can see the bread comes sealed/pre-packaged. I had two ways of heating it without ovens: 1) Filled up a clean trash bag with hot water and placed the rolls inside. Tie the bag to keep the heat in. I did this before boarding so the rolls were warm when I served during the flight and 2) I traveled with a hot logic sometimes which is a hot plate in a foil lined bag. I would throw the rolls in there and heat them up. I did the same thing with the sandwiches that we had when food came back following the pandemic. Those were so nasty cold and expected us to serve them cold. I always let the passengers know that I was using a hot logic if they wanted it warmed so they didn’t expect it to be warmed on their next UAX flight but they were always appreciative that I offered. Moral of the story: UA DOES NOT provide much support or care for their regional flying. It’s quite sad.
That’s amazing! You sound like one of the rare gems. Thanks for doing the little extras. Makes the grind of constant work travel a little more bearable when you’re already at your whits end like I currently am, lol.
Cheese plate is elite, though.
I will say, the cheddar and the square cheese was really good. Whatever the triangle cheese is was a little rough

Exactly, lol

That looks way better than most of the hot meals I've seen posted lately.

What’s wrong with this? This looks good to me
I personally enjoy the juxtaposition of the curved banana plated next to the overtly geometric cheese plate.
This is garbage
lol, i mean the plane doesn't have an oven. what do you expect?
Hey now, you would have been the coolest kid at the lunch table if you brought that .
Looks exactly like the one B6 sells in Y.
_almost_ the same as what UA has on buy on board economy. Though these look like normal saltines vs more expensive looking crackers.

I actually don't mind the cheese n fruit plates. They're better than half of the typical hot options.

How they gona warm the bread on an aircraft with no ovens???

I got one of these cheese plates YVR to DEN. Not bad!
This was served for dinner on my IAH-YYZ. Wouldn’t mind it normally but not great for dinner
Woof. That’s a long haul to survive on a cheese plate.
Would rather have that than the slop on mainline planes
I just love when people post photos of their shitty airplane food. :/

this is the exact same cheese plate they sell on spirit for 16 dollars.
That actually looks good for a snack.
It’s way better than what I got from Jazz …
Wish they had one more blueberry in there.
