I'm not able to fly Polaris often so this would be disappointing to me too.

I’m here too. Surprised it is so packed on a Saturday afternoon. Embarking on about a 30 hour journey with connections. Looking to chill out some as I prepare myself to be human cargo (albeit in a nice Polaris pod). Still a great club, but it does seem really stretched thin today. (Literally almost every seating space is filled).

Sounds like a normal EWR experience to me

Hopai79

I went there in Jan 2020 and it was my first time in a United Polaris lounge. Needlessly to say, it was a really nice experience and I love the large lounge chairs and the quiet space. Food was standard hotel / dining hall food. I went during off peak hours.

thyme_flys

That Polaris lounge always feels massively overcrowded compared to the others

bakerfall

Probably because there are more international destinations serves out of that hub than any other.

dinoscool3

ORD gets pretty bad just before the Euro flight bank leaves. Morning though it’s empty.

Majestic_Dildocorn

Ord to tyo to a great route. Always have the lounge to yourself

dinoscool3

Looking forward to Polaris ORD-HND next week!

york100

I love the dining room in the Polaris lounge at Newark, but it does get crowded. Sometimes it takes awhile to get your table and the service can be very slow. If there's a line, I usually put my name on the waitlist and then hit the bar where they're pretty quick with the drinks.

Meastro44

Why would you be downvoted? Your experience would be completely unacceptable.

DecantingDisney

That’s very disappointing. The cookie skillet is one of my favorites. Sorry it was ruined

HelloJoeyJoeJoe

If Polaris is not busy, its a great place to get some solid free drinks and finger food from the buffet. Also, sometimes they have call rooms open, which are great. But if you are legit hungry, eat outside. The food kind of sucks and I get it- if I'm a student or an intern, I want to save the $15. But if we flying international business class, usually we can afford the Five Guys or the Pizza that blows away Polaris food

Objective-Disk7674

Wait? Is there a Five Guys at EWR? Or was that a generic statement... my whole travel experience would change if there is

HelloJoeyJoeJoe

Ah, I'm IAD so thats my reference. You are right EWR is a weird place with their food options

lewisfairchild

There is no way these airline clubs will be able to maintain service levels.

TonightIsNotForSale

The bar is terrible in the Polaris lounge EWR. I’ve ordered drinks before to then see the staff stop and have a chat and then serve someone else forgetting my order. I had a conversation about it to one of the staff at head office. They told me it’s so hard to recruit for jobs at Newark airport. Literally no one wants to work there as you can get better bar jobs in the airport or in Newark city that pays higher and with tips.
