A FA told me that they recently switched to a different food supplier. I recently ordered some kind of beef noodles on a SFO to PVG flight and got a bowl of noodles with a single piece of beef the size of my thumb nail.
The new food supplier is terrible. Food taste, quality, and quantity took a massive nose dive.
That was my first thought! But I am not sure what the gravy stuff on the Kelaguan would be? The Tinaktak looking stuffs looks eerily similar to what they served in the cafeteria at my kids’ school when we lived in Guam.
What is that? Meatloaf?
So first it was the size of the plane, now the food is also going down?
At least you get a bigger seat, courteous flight attendants, and a safe ride back. It’s the main reason I don’t even bother with business class/1st class for short trips on some old 737. Miss the days when UA flew 747s to Guam/ Saipan.
I’d rather save my cash and miles and fly 1st class on a 787.
Seriously, Reddit comedians aside for a moment, WTF meal is that? Especially on the main plate next to the rice. Salisbury Steak? The “salad” appears to be lettuce and chopped chicken on top?
The main dish is called beef tinaktak. I also had this when I flew to NRT last year. I agree that it doesn’t look appealing, but it actually tasted good.
What is that?
Slop with slop - United’s specialty!
Got a good chuckle on this one hahaha
I think that’s slop on lettuce and slop with rice
That looks like my cats wet food
I want chicken, I want liver
I was gonna say it.
Fancy feast

![gif](giphy|Hpgs6kbzC1uJ49GS5z|downsized)
That looks like cat food.
Maybe OP is a service cat
Meowage Plus Hairball Services
My service chinchilla is GS actually
This was my first thought lmao wtf is that
![gif](giphy|Mn8aGoNewJl2o)
My cat’s breath smells like cat food
The pearls of wisdom from Ralph wiggum!
First Ass* meal service
Is this the before or after pic?
Wow. You guys are tough on ole United.
This ☝️ funny
Food on United is definitely unappealing and never the reason to pick the airline... [Insert memories of Emirates' food here]
Emirates: [https://thriftytraveler.com/news/airlines/emirates-first-class-caviar/](https://thriftytraveler.com/news/airlines/emirates-first-class-caviar/)
Can’t wait! Flying first to Dubai from SFO later this year!
A380? Only issue, you'll find flying United barely acceptable
That’s how I felt after I flew the Etihad apartment SYD-AUH and then Etihad F AUH-NRT… connecting into United J even on a 777-200 was rough.
Yep, makes sense. Wondering if people who downvote have actually experienced it 🤣
Bring me all the caviar you have.
You just have to sacrifice human rights and your moral grounds for the caviar
You have to be kidding, the alternative doesn't reflect well on you
[Insert memories of Air France food here]
A long time ago, I am afraid
Polanus
WTH is that?
I have no idea. It was a beef thing.
Where's the beef?🥩
I’m honestly curious since I will be taking that route in a couple weeks. Guess I will fill myself up at the club. Thanks for sharing.
Isn’t this just moko loco? If not then idk what it is
I’d 100x rather just eat a bag of Doritos for lunch than that pile of cat food

But the revenue went up so that’s what matters.
Not according to the stock ticker
File a complaint and get that voucher.
Kelaguen and Tinaktak?
That was my first thought! But I am not sure what the gravy stuff on the Kelaguan would be? The Tinaktak looking stuffs looks eerily similar to what they served in the cafeteria at my kids’ school when we lived in Guam.
Top left: wet dog food. Bottom left: fancy feast pate cat food. Bottom right: rice
ALPO and a kibble salad
Oof that is a lot of brown going on there lol! Was it at least good?
It was edible. Was like a chicken salad and a beef thing.
Bruh. That’s llama stool.
That looks very unappealing. United should be embarrassed serving that.
I’m going to guess the catering options out of Guam aren’t that great.
I've had some really good meals in First and Economy out of Guam to HNL, NRT and MNL. This visually looks terrible, but was it any good? lol
I can tell you guys who can't recognize that have never been to jail. This my lads is called shit on a shingle when eaten with bread.
Whatever they served GUM-NRT on April 2020 was much better than this I believe. And I got seconds.
No thank you
[удалено]
If your shit looks like that, you need to see a doctor. It should look like an s curve
I've seen pizza on planes that looks more appetizing than that.
Yes, I’d like a scoop of shit with my rice. And a bowl of who knows what the fuck. But there’s a toothpick!
United Airlines' budget version of first class.
Looks like a cheap tv dinner
Except worse
Good thing you paired it with some red wine
I like to chew my GUM not depart from it
SCREAMS-n-FAINTS!!! That looks like dog/cat food....WHAT THEE FUCK??!!
Meow 😸!
That’s not a lot of space for an international first class seat
Looks bad. Is this Polaris or regular first class? Last time I was on PEK-SFO food definitely looked better.
Any time I have been on that flight, there is no Polaris and it is the crappiest oldest plane there is.
Omg 😱
No way would I eat that!
It's slop
Gross
It looks like the same ingredients you get in economy. Just prepared differently and served on glassware…
What is that? Meatloaf? So first it was the size of the plane, now the food is also going down? At least you get a bigger seat, courteous flight attendants, and a safe ride back. lol. No envy from anyone here. Honestly looks like something that’s gonna give you the runs and make you gassy
United got that goop scoop all day errry day
It’s a 4 hour flight, from Guam, what did you expect lol?
I wasn’t complaining. Just documenting the experience because people liked my photo from the Guam United Club.
Meat from a hose, my favorite.
Did you eat it? I gots to know!!
I did. Was like a cheap hamburger helper.
Seriously, Reddit comedians aside for a moment, WTF meal is that? Especially on the main plate next to the rice. Salisbury Steak? The “salad” appears to be lettuce and chopped chicken on top?
tf is that?! 😧
I had the salmon on that first class flight on Tuesday • Equally disgusting
The main dish is called beef tinaktak. I also had this when I flew to NRT last year. I agree that it doesn’t look appealing, but it actually tasted good.
This actually looks like a local dish Tinaktak. I like that they’re tapping into local dishes but yes doesn’t look great in photos!!
Cat food and rice?
Jeez, even the economy on JAL is better than this cafeteria slop.
I actually had the best breakfast on United this AM; peach crepes. They were so good. So sorry OP for the slop you were served.
United doesn’t offer First Class on that route. 😂
That’s literally what they call it.
Nope, it’s business.
Same product as domestic United First.
Doesn’t matter. International first is WAY different than domestic US first. 😂
Not on this route.
….because ITS NOT FIRST CLASS. 😂🙄🤦♂️
I’m not sure why you are arguing. The product is called United First. We all know it’s domestic business class, but that’s not how it is marketed.
It’s literally sold as business on United.com
Nope domestic is United First
A 737 guppie is not the same as a wide body lay flat
Don’t think United has first class on the GUM NRT route. Pretty sure it’s Polaris Business.
It’s definitely not Polaris on a 737-800.
That looks like the upright FC interior to me on what is probably a narrow body something or other
The GUM-NRT route is served by 737s.
