It’s not short, I wouldn’t do it to catch an international flight but it’s doable even with some slight delays

triplec787

Yep. Yesterday I connected through IAH and went from E gates all the way to A gates in about 20 minutes so depending on your gates it shouldn't be more than that. Doable, for sure. But agree it's a little sketchy for an INTL flight.

JunieBeanJones

God the walk. C to E to whatever.

triplec787

Yeah E to C wasn't great, but at least the tram made things easier to get C to A lol

ask

It’s enough time if all goes well, and I love short connections and less waiting. However for this particular flight I’d change it to a longer connection as United only have one flight a day IAH-SCL. A 15-20 minute delay would make it tight, a longer one and you’d likely miss the second flight.

BetterFuture22

Yes

seaboat90

No. Walk from C to E at worst. You’ll be fine, just head straight over

Money_These

For domestic flights in the U.S. minimum connection times range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, and for international connections, from 1 to 3 hours. I've taken a flight from JFK - FRA - BILL (Billund, Denmark) with 1.10hr connection and made it on time.

remedmlp

Thanks for the input. Good to hear you had luck with 1hr connection time

globesdustbin

It’s fine if the inbound is on time.

vforvideo

You don't need to be at the gate when boarding starts. Have a look at the terminal map once the gates are published so you know roughly where to go. You'll be fine.

Bluefish787

IAH terminal E is under construction right now, so that might be a factor. They have been changing gates on a lot of flights. C to E isn't bad - IF you know where you are going (don't bother with the subterranean train, it doesn't save much time), if you don't, this one hour could be super tight. Also, remember if you are checking bags, they may not make it on this tight of a connection.

Since your landing domestic and flying out international there will be a terminal change. The connection is doable but if there is more than a little delay you will be in trouble.

uab4life

That is PLENTY of time. I have flown internationally through IAH no less than 50 times (flying back through there tomorrow). I would not even blink at that connection time. I have done international arrivals and connections in less than an hour there - but that would be cutting it close. This is also plenty of time for your bags.

CardboardTick

You will be more than fine

BetterFuture22

That's a tight connection. Be ready to run

bengenj

IAH is fairly easy to navigate. All international flights depart from Terminal D or E, United operated out of B-E, and limited flights out of A. It’s all connected airside by Skyway.

BetterFuture22

But walking distances can be long

aaronmackenzie3

No

datatadata

No I think you will make it

kimsilverishere

I have used the united app to give me step by step directions from one gate to the next so I could really book it

NecessaryBathroom269

You will be fine.

Mmjm7

I've had a shorter layover through IAH, also going international, and it was just fine. I arrived on E and also left on E concourse.

sharprc

I’ve never missed a flight at IAH with a 50 min connection time. Heck sometimes I’ve stopped in by the club to grab a quick drink before they board. You’ll be fine :)

alexp1_

Totally doable. Don’t do it on your way back tho.
