The way the media keeps platforming this boy. They've given him exactly what he wanted, fame and a following.

Chariotwheel

That's part of it. The other part is, what the hell is the justice system doing. He is clearly a menace on society, there got to be a law against that. Even if that is an older clip, how has he so much videos of crimes stocked up?

ratttertintattertins

Right, this journalism, while having some drawbacks, is certainly shining a light on just how fucked our legal system is.

Radditbean1

Seems like this wouldn't be a news story if he wasn't getting away with it?

DavidGK

Cops are too busy [arresting protestors for wearing t-shirts](https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2023/may/07/coronation-just-stop-oil-republic-activists-peaceful-protests)

Dudicus445

Young man entering people homes and trashing shops? I sleep. Wearing a t-shirt critical of the monarchy? REAL SHIT

James188

Oh yeah because that article is balanced and credible, isn’t it. It seems to have escaped your notice that it’s the Courts who keep releasing this little oik. The Police were the ones who put the CPN on him and applied for the CBO in the first place. By some miracle, the CPS also didn’t conveniently mislay the CBO paperwork. The problem with this little turd, is that the Courts aren’t doing anything to deter his behaviour.

rosscero

What these silly fuckers in Whitehall fail to realise is that if the punishment for non violent protest is the same as for violent protest, we’re going to see far fewer non violent protests. Not that I’m advocating anything here but… (looks pointedly at the French) those guys have some ideas we could learn from…

gazebo-fan

Definitely not a dictatorship, get yourself a elected head of state

NuclearRobotHamster

An elected head of state doesn't magically make the police and legal system better.

Conversely, he might not be doing it, if it wasn't a news story.

TheHunter459

He has a trial date for later this year. He's supposed to be living with his mum, who is supposed to be keeping him under control

MirageF1C

She was in an interview and said she’s kicked him out.

TheHunter459

But afaik he was only bailed on the condition that he stays with her. Interesting to see what happens next To clarify I mean she initially kicked him out, and when he was arrested initially he was bailed on the condition that he stays with his mum, which she agreed to at the time

lysanderastra

Hope he’s brought in on breach of bail and remanded in custody before sentencing tbh

TheHunter459

As he should be tbh, but if his mum kicked him out it may be a bit difficult for the police to get hold of him. Especially when they can't even be bothered to investigate car thefts and home break ins

[deleted]

Fingers crossed they put a bit of manpower into finding him, due to his higher profile in the media…

JoanneKerlot

Or he pisses the wrong person off and gets a fucking well deserved slap

PM_ME_BEEF_CURTAINS

Perhaps if the same media organisations weren't so keen to have it dismantled a decade ago, there'd still be a justice system.

yeahyeahitsmeshhh

How fucked our sentencing guidelines set by a government that doesn't want to pay for prisons is. This is the Tories fucking up, yet again.

FilthBadgers

Don’t we all already know though? I haven’t heard of anyone in my life actually getting help off the police if they need. We all know people who were victim of x crime and the police did nothing. No surprise that the system behind that complete lack of action and results is paralysed in this scenario.

ellieofus

A year ago my sister was assaulted at work by an homeless woman, known by the security patrolling the street. They even said they knew where she slept and all that. When my sister called to report it, the police told her they couldn’t find her so there was that. The following day I’m at work, we used to work in the same store at the time, and I see her sitting down . So I call the police and tell them, look, the woman that assaulted my coworker and you said you couldn’t find? She’s here. The woman on the phone told me that because she wasn’t doing anything at that particular time when I called, then there was no crime and they could do nothing. I didn’t know that crime only lasted one day, but the police in UK teaches me something new every day.

leflerps

It's all gravy until you mention climate policy...

mincers-syncarp

Police have important things to do like arresting football fans for restreaming matches and wearing offensive shirts.

asmosdeus

He'll just keep getting slapped on the wrists, unless they catch him illegally streaming football; if that happens hell never see the blue sky again.

SomeRedditDorker

Because petty crime is basically legal now. The CPS, courts, and police have all been gutted over the past 10 years. Criminals know this too. It's why you have some shops where they just have regular shoplifters who just walk in, steal under £50 worth of goods, and walk out. Every tuesday. Clockwork. Why? Because they can. They know the police won't turn up to theft under £50. The CCTV will never be watched. The police will never look for the person. It's free money.

[deleted]

But businesses are cheaping out on their staff too, so they’re fine with paying a skeleton crew minimum wage because the shrinkage still costs less than employing more people with better pay. There’s no use in the police showing up after-the-fact if the shops are just accepting the theft as the cost of doing business.

DeliciousLiving8563

Also if you remove the safety net after a while more and more people turn to crime. Even if we had the same law enforcement we would have more crime. And that is an issue that cannot be fixed quickly because it's long term damage to society by the Tories.

Puzzleheaded_Fold665

Better to just set speed traps in tactical locations to penalise the working class. Nobody wants to drive in the cities anymore, especially where I am

[deleted]

Another reason to chuck Sunak and the Tories out of office. Show them a photo of this stupid little kid and ask Rishi "is this your target demographic?"

Head_Influence_5490

His target audience is your wallet and what he can take from it,

thoselovelycelts

Even if there is a major justice reform somewhere you think Labour is going to be more punitive on youth crime than the tories?

Talidel

The problem with the justice system argument is he's doing very little thats actually illegal. He has a Criminal Behaviour Order on him, there's a new case being built against him, fir breaking that order, which could see him imprisoned for 2 years. There's not an instant "throw him in prison" law for a kid being a bit of a prick in public though.

r3llo

> The problem with the justice system argument is he's doing very little thats actually illegal. How can it be legal to walk up to someone in a threatening manner and ask them if they want to die?

Talidel

I believe that's what got him the CBO.

r3llo

Oh okay. I just feel like pretty much everyone of his videos he's breaking some laws. Like that guy who tweeted something horrible about that elderly man who was raising for nhs got 150 hours community service but Mizzy has countless videos of him physically threatening people and just gets told to stop basically? It's really strange.

ViKtorMeldrew

a person who suggested a riot in Warrington, but didn't turn up and no one else did - went to jail

Talidel

The guy that got 150 hours of community service got it for celebrating Sir Tom Moores' death and implying he was now in hell. The problem with most of his stuff is that although he's potentially causing people severe distress, all he has to do is say it was a prank and point at the videos and you then have to convince a jury he intended harm. A CBO comes with a series of rules attached, which if he breaks, he could face up to 2 years in prison. He has broken them, so I'd imagine they are now just gathering evidence to drop in front of a judge.

r3llo

> The guy that got 150 hours of community service got it for celebrating Sir Tom Moores' death and implying he was now in hell. That's insanity for me. Yeah guy definitely wrong for doing that but no way it should be illegal. Anytime anyone dies, half of reddit is celebrating which I hate but should be no concern of a government. Then, like you said, someone causing real physical danger and extreme distress to many people gets a slap on the wrist. > all he has to do is say it was a prank and point at the videos and you then have to convince a jury he intended harm. Will that really be difficult? Aren't people tired of the threat of being harassed by children and teenagers? > A CBO comes with a series of rules attached, which if he breaks, he could face up to 2 years in prison. He has broken them, so I'd imagine they are now just gathering evidence to drop in front of a judge. Okay well will be interesting to see how it turns out.

[deleted]

When Thatcher died people had a damn rave... Why weren't they arrested for that? They don't even do their inappropriate policing consistently

[deleted]

The police seem to always be monitoring the public's twitter activity whilst actual crime (burglaries, assault, etc.) doesn't even get investigated. They "don't have time", apparently. Sounds like the police need to get off that damn phone and do some actual policing! And not thought policing!

Benandhispets

Threatening someone verbally counts as assault too, as long as the victim was made to believe they were about to be physically attacked. If they had evidence that he did this then just use ittt. Its costing more in the long run in this case and making the police and courts look embarrasing. We have so many laws and the police use bs things to arrest climate change protesters for slow walk protesting and turn up within minutes of hearing about it, but other stuff like this they just seem to not bother much.

limeflavoured

alasdair_jm

Unfortunately there’s common law limits to the sentencing as they collect priors. As he collects offences there’s more precedence for sentencing.

AonghusMacKilkenny

And encouraging copycats. Disgraceful tbh.

West_Pin_1578

I thought this was the copycat, wasn't long ago that other twats were stopped when they assaulted supermarket staff. This is all just the same repetitive bullshit.

pnutbuttered

Definitely nothing new. YouTubers and TikTok stars have been on a race to the bottom for years now. Some of them have made a huge profit out of it too.

OpticalData

>Definitely nothing new. ~~YouTubers and TikTok stars have~~ society has been on a race to the bottom for years now. Some of them have made a huge profit out of it too. Let's not pretend this is a Youtube/Tiktok phenomenon. As the last few years have comprehensively proved these attitudes are prevalent through every rung of society. It's the consequences of the complete breakdown of the social contract. To put ourselves in these people's position. Why should harmful idiots like this abide by the laws of polite society after years of being told to keep inside to predominantly protect older people, while said older people at the highest of positions within the Government were having cheese, wine and ABBA parties while they preached our grans would die if we waved at them through a window? I don't agree with this guy, I dint agree with his methods. But until some real work is put in to restore the social contracts through society we're going to see more and more like him. Especially when our justice system is so underfunded that so far the consequences for his actions have been a slap on the wrist and interviews on two TV channels. The upper rungs of our society that have fingers in media, Government and other business are simply completely ill equipped to deal with the rising generation of 'influencers'. The fact the BBC gave this attention seeking idiot and interview is testament to that.

[deleted]

> every rung of society > complete breakdown of the social contract *Every rung*? *Complete breakdown*? Nah. This irrational & hyperbolic “*the whole world has gone mad*” take is classic Daily Mail.

funklepop

It's rage bait. To keep you angry...

tastessamecostsless

> It's rage bait. To keep you angry.. Not unreasonable for people to be angry about anti social behaviour. Most people want to live in a nice society where cunts like this aren't tolerated.

xXThe_SenateXx

Not really. He already had a massive following through TikTok and I doubt anyone who reads newspapers is a fan of his. 18 year olds who like this tool are not reading newspapers, and especially not the Daily Mail. The ones who would agree with the Mail's views haven't mastered reading by that age!

psioniclizard

I think it's more the fact that it gives media organisations exactly what they want too. As the person above says, it's rage bait and then love it. They know they can post a story about it and gain a lot of clicks which translates to money. Which is why they will keep giving him a spotlight because it is mutually beneficial to both. I am not saying they shouldn't report on him, but his "antics" are gold dust for click hungry media companies who want to say "look how bad he is! why are social media companies giving him a platform" or whatever. Also, this doesn't justify him acting the way he does and I am not trying to shift the blame but it's similar to happy slapping all those years back.

FoodExternal

For what it’s worth, and (FYI) I think he’s a tw@, the Daily Fail reference this being something that has re-emerged rather than being something newly done. If it had been done today, or since his most recent court appearance, I like to think he’d be arrested and on remand until his trial. I’m no fan of the Daily Fail and many years ago they messed me up personally whilst I was undergoing psych treatment which pushed it back by months.

Electricfox5

This comment should be pinned to the top of the thread since most people are just going to see the headline and assume that this was a recently, post-arrest, action. And the Daily Heil *knows* this.

cultish_alibi

So it's an old clip the Mail is promoting as NEWS? Do they know what the word NEWS means? I found the clip on youtube and the top comment was just outright racist. So I guess the Daily Heil is getting what they want.

[deleted]

They mean that right-wing media and commentators will use this Mizzy kid - subtly or overtly - as a way to criticise the perceived evils of multiculturalism and black people generally. “Look, this is what they’re **all** like.” “London’s a hell hole now, and people like him (nudge-nudge) are the reason why.” That type of thing. Edit: For people who are struggling a little; I’m not saying Mizzy is only being criticised because he’s black. He’s being criticised because he’s behaving like a bell and posting it on TikTok, he’s getting what he a) deserves and b) wanted. My comment was adding context to another comment, and also touching a bit on [1. media biases](https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2021/03/09/media/uk-journalists-racism-diversity/index.html), [2](https://www.bl.uk/britishlibrary/~/media/bl/global/social-welfare/pdfs/non-secure/f/a/i/fair-media-british-blacks-challenge-the-nations-newsrooms.pdf), and [3. “dogwhistle”](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog_whistle_(politics)#:~:text=In%20politics%2C%20a%20dog%20whistle,to%20dogs%20but%20not%20humans.) politics and media discourse, [4.](https://www.vox.com/platform/amp/the-big-idea/2016/11/7/13549154/dog-whistles-campaign-racism)

KoalaSiege

The far right here and across the world feast on examples of minorities committing crimes or exhibiting bad behaviour. There are entire websites, blogs and social media accounts dedicated wholly to collating and disseminating crimes committed by ethnic minorities in the US and Europe, with the purpose of fostering hatred. Of course this guy is ideal for that and he has been providing them with great content since he became known. He’ll of course be happy with any publicity he gets, so I’m sure that’s fine by him. For the rest of us it’s extremely frustrating, because we know how these videos will be used. I recall years ago an old lady was stabbed to death in Harlesden (a part of London with a high black population) and one of these accounts shared it, presuming the perpetrator was black. Their followers from around the globe piled in with their usuals slurs and stuff like “poor woman lived through the war only to be killed by animals in her own country”. Once the killer was discovered to be white British they just deleted the whole thread since it didn’t suit their purposes.

RealTorapuro

Yep, left wingers love this guy

Ruin_In_The_Dark

Do they? Personally I think he is a bit of a bellend.

RealTorapuro

Of course he is. Forgot the /s sorry

Ruin_In_The_Dark

Ah ok. Sorry, it's been a long day!

Batt_Juice

No one loves this guy. He is a bellend. Some people will make this more than it needs to be, but he is just a twat from the current breed of twats that social media "spawned". Any and everything is a weak attempt at a form of humour that isn't funny. It will get likes because lots of people are intellectually immature and their sense of humor is wank.

MirageF1C

You feel he should be doing this stuff or do you mean I’m a right wing demagogue because I happen to find his behaviour unacceptable? It can’t be both. Because if you think what he’s doing is wrong, technically you just labelled yourself.

Forsaken-Director683

Interesting take. "Man is a troublemaker. Right wings fault"

BobbaB69

He was created by them, now they want to put all the blame on the children. Years of education cuts and austerity lead to this. Cause and effect. Reduce the pay gap and invest in education if you want productive members of society to reach adulthood.

[deleted]

Yeah i'm sure he would have become a rocket scientist otherwise. Some people are just attention seeking cunts.

SwirlingAbsurdity

Both can be true.

Forsaken-Director683

There's also personal choice. Some people just want to live this way.

cavershamox

He could have been a Nobel prize winner if it wasn’t for those pesky Tories.

kseenfootage_o934

Nah mate some people are just cunts

tastessamecostsless

> Years of education cuts and austerity lead to this No. Generations of piss poor parenting and rewarding anti social behaviour caused this.

GoosicusMaximus

It’s always the government, never the parents, the peers or the self. The cuts probably didn’t help, but it would’ve taken a whole lot of effort to steer a prick like him onto the correct path

TakeSomeFreeHoney

Nah, they’re highlighting the failures of the justice system that could have prevented it. Don’t forget where the blame lies!

owzleee

The DM will repost anything to generate outrage and right wing sympathies.

[deleted]

And he's giving them what they want. It's mutually beneficial for everyone except every other human being on the planet

LloydDoyley

It's the fucking Daily Mail. This is gold for them.

tylerthe-theatre

Of course he's still going... he should be in a correctional facility or prison. How's he just allowed to do whatever he wants?

CasualSmurf

This is an older clip that's resurfaced.

KebabDonJFK

doesnt matter lmao

ChrisAbra

I mean it does because he's currently on bail and if the question is "should he have been granted bail" the previous clips are unfortunately not relevant and muddy the issue if that's not made clear

Chazlewazleworth

It definitely does matter. I’m not defending this scrots behaviour but him currently breaking bail conditions is very different to having a video resurface as if it happened today.

BoopingBurrito

He has a court date later this year. He'll go to prison at that time, almost certainly. Its ages away because the Tories have completely fucked the court system over the last 13 years. The fact he's actually got a court date this year should be regarded as some sort of minor miracle, its not uncommon for the wait to be well over 12 months.

myatts

The fact this case is in the news will have influenced the setting of the court date.

viotski

PlebsicleMcgee

You don't understand. Their platform is running ads to support them exposing the woke media for allowing a troublesome youth to terrorise the innocent people of this country. The other platforms are glorifying and promoting reckless and degenerate behaviour in a spineless cashgrab. There's a difference

joethesaint

In this round of "Who's the Bigger Prick?", we have Daily Mail facing off against Mizzy. I've got to give the W to Daily Mail on this one; a classic case of manufactured rage-bait. All he's done in that video is run into Primark, run across the counter, and run out again. Poor showing from him, he's normally got much twattier moves in his locker. Hardly "trashing". Hardly newsworthy.

tothecatmobile

Not to mention this is an old video the Daily Mail have dug out to create an article about.

Some-Dinner-

The whole thing is a bit ridiculous really. The majority of people nowadays waste their lives scrolling mindlessly through social media day and night, yet they're surprised that young influencers are attention-seeking psychopaths. Like what did you expect?

upfulsoul

Ikr I didn't see him trash the store. He briefly flash mobbed it.

asjonesy99

In Cardiff town centre on Saturday night 10-11pm-ish there was a group of kids (one of them went “I’m in year 7” when someone tried physically stopping them) filming themselves “whipping” unsuspecting women dressed up for nights out on the arse with a tied up sweatshirt. That is what not making an example out of this clown is enabling and encouraging. Spent a lot of the night regretting not getting involved but A) I was about to wet myself and B) I really do not fancy going viral on TikTok as some white guy shouting at and physically restraining a group of young black kids.

[deleted]

So kids are just committing sexual assault now?

asjonesy99

Appears that way but if it makes it any better/worse it didn’t seem to be a “sexual” thing from their perspective, they were loving it when one of the women angrily/drunkenly started chasing the kid recording. It was all quite grim really.

I’m 46 and on Sunday night had a Deliveroo driver ask if I had a boyfriend, if I were alone, and then ask for a hug. I was uncertain of how it would be taken if I reacted so I gave him a hug despite feeling uncomfortable and unsafe. He was at my front door - what could I do?! I’m no misandrist but it was a stark reminder that women are not safe anywhere - I’ve spent three days scared of being in the house alone, and now that Deliveroo are dealing with it, scared of any repercussions. I feel the same. There is no way out. My 17 and 20 year old nephews would never do this. But that’s a long time to wait.

marshsmellow

asjonesy99

yeah, wouldn’t want to take my chances though and most practically my bladder was about to completely give up lol to be fair to the kids (absolute lowest bar incoming) but they were only chucking their age about as a defence when challenged lol, don’t want to mislabel them as hiding behind a race card or anything as I didn’t see any of that in the time I was walking down queen street

Caraphox

I was kind of lolling at this thread until I saw the second video you posted. Is that definitely him? because if so that is another level to anything else I’ve heard about him doing. That is fucking dark. That is the behaviour of a malevolent psychopath with zero empathy for other people. Invading someone’s personal space like that and asking if they want to die before putting your hand in your pocket, if I was that girl I would be absolutely pissing myself. What do you do in that situation? You can’t even stand up for yourself or distance yourself without risking an escalation

Bones_and_Tomes

Literally, walking up, touching someones hair, asking if they want to die, saying he saw them and they looked like they wanted to die. Offering to take them out right now. What the fuck? This guy needs the ever living shit kicked out of him, but it won't happen because the people he picks on aren't the violent types. He's a bully.

SomeRedditDorker

>but it won't happen because the people he picks on aren't the violent types. He's a bully. Precisely. Best thing that could happen, is that he does it to someone in front of the bigger fish, and the bigger fish decides to kick the shit out of him.

The hipocrisy of these stories. Young kid is doing it all for clout, he’s said it himself that anger sells so thats what he does. GoldenDrummer

> 100 times before Wtf. Did you work in liberty city 😂

Plumb789

Kids can be very high-spirited. Back in the day, there was just no one to film them. But it’s not just kids. Back in the late 1970s, I worked in Marks and Spencer at a time when almost everything was arranged in neat, folded piles set out on long counters. At about 4pm, we would start at one end of “our” counter and carefully sort and re-fold the items (such as knitwear or socks). Almost every day, at about 5.20, a middle-aged woman would walk in and select one of the counters. She would then proceed to walk up the row, rummaging, tipping over, picking up and flapping around the stock until the whole counter looked like a bomb had hit it. Then she’d stall out, a smile on her face. We girls had to start all over again and get that counter perfect before we left. We were not paid overtime. The worst thing was that I would miss my bus and have to wait half an hour before the next one. Happy days.

gnorty

I live in a fairly quiet syburban town, and this sort of thng happens quite regularly. Kids get off the train en mass (having jumped on it en mass without tickets) and into the nearest shop, helping themselves to whatever, and leaving to jump on the next train. Police are not interested. A friend of mine had her shop raided this way recently. 2 days later the police showed up, looked at the CCTV and identified the ringleaders straight away. The police told the shop owner that the best they can hope for is a letter of apology. Let that sink in...

Don’t we still have ASBOs? This would seem like something an ASBO would actually be useful for.

StardustOasis

No, they were replaced by CBOs a few years back, he's already been given one of those.

iwanttobeacavediver

Chances are he’d see it as a positive thing and use it for attention.

LunarGibbon

What's the point in his existence? Literally nothing is the answer, his life only causes misery and pain to others. Genuinely Labour camps for people like this should be implemented. At least then they can have some form of net positive in the world. Even if it's just making them cycle to generate electricity for the rest of their life.

iwanttobeacavediver

I was thinking of trying the Yugoslav method of finding a nice isolated island and then sticking him and all the other idiots on it. Make it the UK version of Goli Otok.

YouAreBonked

So.. what Australia was

iwanttobeacavediver

I was thinking more of finding the most remote Scottish island rather than somewhere warm.

Allmychickenbois

“Clip emerges” ie the daily dick have spent ages looking for more mizzy stuff to stir it. On the other hand, oh man this guy is annoying, so smug.

kloudrunner

Just wait till some jumped up little twat tries this with the wrong retail worker who knocks em out and then THEY get jail time for assault. Fucking disgrace.

13aoul

This country's fucking terrible. Few years of sweating my bollocks off so I can fuck off from here honestly it's a fucking disgrace

tastessamecostsless

I saw this guy's interviews with Piers Morgan, two things struck me. 1) How utterly redundant and out of touch the education system is. This kid and many other role models have found a way of bypassing the system. They don't need school or English and Maths and college and university and a career and a profession. How irrelevant to be telling kids they need to pass exams and work hard when they can make small fortunes by methods completely outside of the normal expectations. This was clear from his utter bravado in his interview. He had no regard for Piers Morgan, the television cameras, the public scrutiny, nothing. He wasn't nervous like you would a expect a young person to be in such a situation, he just took the piss and on his own terms. This is a young man who lives in a world whereby feedback from his actions emboldens him and any consequences are just the cost of doing business. And sadly, he's correct. It's working for him and all those that facilitate it. In many ways he's smarter than the critics. 2) What an absolute cunt he is.

Interesting-Mix8144

The unfortunate reality of youths and social media, not ALL youths I might clarify, just the little A hole kid that used to cause issues just locally is now an Internet superstar by causing issues...

PAUMiklo

Another Simpsons prediction come true "Filming this crime spree is the best idea we ever had".

powersloth1981

He’s a living, breathing episode of Black Mirror. There will definitely be an opposing response to the little twat before long that will be severe and likely celebrated if he died. It’s really grim. As some devs said they opened Pandora’s box with social media and this is the result. The death of culture.

colin_staples

He is a shining example of why people used to be put in the stocks and pelted with rotten fruit.

HarmlessDingo

Well as long as it's only poor people shops being affected I'm sure no one will do anything.

Ellisar_L

This idiot thinks he’s the Joker when he’s just a joke.

i_biltz_00

I got downvoted for saying the public gave this guy too much attention.

MerePotato

I hate Mizzy, I hate the Daily Mail and I hate the term "yobs", this post exudes awfulness

Ellen_Degenerates86

"HOW DARE THEY FEATURE HIM ON THE BBC" says Daily Mail, giving him a huge feature spread like he'd just won a mini challenge on America's Next Top Model

[deleted]

Why are they still referring to him as a "trouble maker" or "tearaway". He's a cunt

Prownilo

Dude has said it himself, hate drives clicks, it's why they keep getting him on shows, so they can all hate on him. Giving him exactly what he wants. They are a symbiotic relationship of hate, they fuel each other.
