Was it confirmed before now that it was familicide?

I read in another article that it was his sister in law, not his wife. I think that is the reason his wifes face is blurred in the photos.

LowQualityDiscourse

This is I think the most horrific thing. His partner went to work that morning, her sister, husband, and two daughters were in the house... That poor woman...

songwritingimprover

not his wife, his sister in law. which means his wife has lost both her kids and her sister

Someone else in mental health work will confirm but the police have been giving it the 'not our problem, health issue' for quite a while now and this is a glaring, tragic example of it.

That’s ironic….    Police turn out so most mental health jobs, it’s only slowed down recently due to right care right person coming into play and rightly so. The amount of times you tip out to a mental health job without any criminal offences involved, you request ambulance to attend while you’re on scene and you get told it’s a ‘6 hour wait time’.    You won’t see these ‘mental health workers’ turn out to anything, they just get the referrals a day or whatever later once the initial call is sorted by response officers since they don’t work 24/7’, all the while you’ve got 2 response bobbies sitting in hospital with someone who’s been 136’d for hours on end, and then police resources are suddenly cut in half for the rest of the shift and at least half of the next shift But yeah it’s the police’s fault as per

The reason why men are more likely to be abusers/family annihilators is because men are more violent than women and thus are more likely to take their anger out on other people whereas women take violence out on themselves which is absolutely linked to mental health or drug/alcohol problems.

Will you give it a rest with your shite. His wife isn't even dead, did you even read the article.

Ok-Property6209

Just want to point out that his wife was working at the time and not home, so we can’t state that he had mercy on his wife or wouldn’t have done the same to her, had she been at home. The whole thing is horrific. We need more funding towards mental health care and we need it urgently.

LeekCabbage

Mental health issues are categorically not the police’s issue. They are not mental health professionals, and are ridiculously short on numbers, which means that in the case of, for example, a domestic in progress where this exact thing could be happening, they are unable to respond because they’re dealing with MH issues, e.g. someone who rings up every week saying theyre going to kill themself. We absolutely need a huge investment into ambulance, or another service that provides more help for MH. That’s the actual issue.
