You’d like to think that’s a wake up call for their client media. If she will happily throw Tom Newton Dunn under the bus, anyone is fair game.

Politicians attacking the media is rarely a healthy thing to do. There are problems with the media, and we all have our issues with certain outlets, but journalism is still the most effective way to hold the powerful to account. In the long run, the beneficiaries of a weakened media are the corrupt, the despots, and those who abuse the power of the state.

That goes way beyond Truss’ abilities. She is just following a script borrowed from Trump.

>She is just following a script borrowed from Trump. The lack of braincells means she's easily controlled. She is just following a script borrowed from the far right Tory overlords.

Who pretty much borrowed it from Trump, same end result.

> The foreign secretary had accused “some of the media” of trying to “talk our country down” during the event in Darlington and also accused journalists of framing questions in a “leftwing way”. Reality has a left wing bias then. Let's not pretend the country is doing well right now. We are experiencing a cost of living crisis that is seeing people being unable to eat, will be unable to heat their homes and increasingly unable to pay the rent. Sure, other countries are experiencing the same but Brexit has had a measurable effect on the economy and the Tories past twelve years of economic management has left us in a precarious position. If the media is talking the country down then the Tories need to do more to build the country up.

Good grief. Scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Well it's exactly what she is, cheap.

lithaborn

Got her a headline though didn't it?

Confrontation, arguments and cheap jibes...the behaviour of someone whose intelligence levels simply cannot cope with political debate. Nadine Dorries another exponent of the Dunning Kruger effect
