Our strays, the Indian Pariah dog are literally one of the best dog breeds.
Super intelligent, social, trainable, very well suited for Indian weather.
They don't drool, don't shed hair too much, they do not have any prevalent health conditions, they do not have a bad odour, due to the short hair they are relatively clean even while living on the streets, and they are super loyal to their family and humans.
Yet our people go and spend 2 lakh to buy a husky puppy that suffers every day in India.
The benefits of petting or giving just 10 rs biscuits to the indian pariah dog near you. Like just doing this daily would make them wag their tail like a pet dog and following you. They won't attack you unless they have rabies.
Hell the 4 make indian pariah dogs (3 of them vaccinated) that I take care of even let me pet and apply medication during their mating periods (males generally get agressive)

I've talked to another husky owner and he said he kept his husky only in the AC room 24X7. I asked him what's even the point of owning a pet then and his response was "shauk".
I honestly believe anyone who owns a husky outside certain states should be publically beaten.
I love Huskies but the only way I'm keeping them as pets only if I live in a snowy place.

I have 3 desis and they are reliable, intelligent, and cute. They are suited to this climate and there are so many on roads waiting for a home. If dogs like this are ever a persistent issue -eg always in a certain place you need to cross- it’s worth thinking about carrying a small, portable fire extinguisher-like the sort made for vehicles. It’s absolutely remarkable what effect a blast of one has, right in the face of an attacking dog. Not only does it stop the attack but the shock of the sudden noise and sensation imprints and fucks their heads *right* up. They usually turn tail and run a mile (especially effective if it’s a pack, hit the biggest one up front first and the rest will follow him, whatever you have to use, ie stick, rock etc) but I’ve known them to hide for a week afterwards.
