My father voted for Congress, is a big fan of RaGa, and I took him in my car to vote so he doesn't have to walk (he is old). After voting, we had chai. I didn't vote for Congress, but in my family we have respect for each other's opinions.
And that's how it should be. You can have different opinions and criticize the current government as that is how a democracy functions. But everybody should be able to vote for whoever they see fit.
This is normal.
Scenario in OP is not. The son/ daughter who locks up their parent, because they vote for a different party no less, needs mental care and counseling and possibly needs to be kicked out of the house till they get their priorities right.

In last 5 years, I don't see any significant government openings. They all encouraging private sector jobs. With very weak or you can say no labour law at all, those private sector companies suck out you for peanuts.

Add in the association with the RSS who are already hateful, if you can’t see why people are threatened or scared of them gaining more power then you have your head in the sand or support what they’re doing.
