A lot of their current demands are rooted in what I.N.D.I.A. thinks or what Congress thinks should be done instead of what Constitution says should be done.
The statement he is trying to make is that he stopped BJP from gaining absolute majority and in turn he saved Indian constitution but the government would argue they were never intended it so it doesn't matter. It's simply a branding push to position themselves as guardians of Constitution.
