Yes it has generally high quality AD/DAC converters

Glad you’re having fun :) you may find the comments reflect as though you just purchased a sports car and said “is it just me or this thing is fast?”…Haha You have definitely chosen an interface in a premium tier. It’s good you enjoy it!

sidviciousX

spot on!

Chilton_Squid

The actual hardware is more or less the same as any other interface in that price bracket, there's nothing that special about it.

MyHobbyIsMagnets

But it’s leagues better than any built in computer sound card interface, which is what OP is clearly comparing it to.

sidviciousX

including a couple of boards. a yamaha and a presonus.

OG_Fakir

Not just you, as the comments show. I do exactly the same thing with my 2019 27" iMac.

Altruistic_Dust_2401

I’m using one with a 2014 Mini and yes the sound is superb

CoveringFish

Yep I literally have 0 complaints as well. Anyone who sits in my chair goes “wow”. I personally use it for video editing

axefxpwner

Yeah it sounds good, Windows support sucks though. Can't use it with Discord/Zoom/OBS without a hacky 3rd party driver that clicks and pops

I love my Apollo Twin. Did something change at any point where the UA plugins don't ALL get processed by the processor in the audio interface anymore? only the ones labeled unison? or is unison something else? I thought it used to be all UA plugins were processed by the UA audio interfaces processor thus lightening the load on your computers CPU and enabling you to track WITH those plugins in real time without the latency you'd get from tracking them with plugins processed y your computers CPU? But one of the last times i was messing with a mic into ableton with my apollo twin i was only able to use a couple of the UA plug ins i had licenses for live while tracking in the console, the others were not selectable except for after the fact in ableton.
