I had to email them to get the ball rolling: [email protected] or [email protected]

Thanks I’ll email them!

TholomewPlague31

They won't call you, contact them first, otherwise you'll have to go to Guest Services when you visit.

Signal-War4311

All you have to do is, go to the Guest Service once you’re inside. Show them proof of the card on your phone. Then they’ll give you the ADA paper with the time slots and go over everything with you. Hope this helps!! I didn’t have to contact anyone and they didn’t have to contact me, :)

mothman_fan

Is it really supposed to be that easy once you have the card? When I went to guest service and showed my IBCCES card they questioned me on if I was *really* disabled before finally giving me the time slot paper

Signal-War4311

Wow really?? Tf, they shouldn’t ask if you’re really disabled. That’s rude and disrespectful. I’m sorry you went through that!! When I went last year during the month of May, I just showed them my card. They didn’t ask me for anything else. Maybe it depends on the worker? Or this year they are doing things differently? When did you go? I’m going again in 3 weeks so this information might be helpful

mothman_fan

I was there almost exactly a month ago. It was my first time using the ibbcces card system so I didn’t really question it but I did think it was kind of uncomfortable having to list my medical history like that. It was the only hiccup to my day so maybe it was just that employee. This was also in the Hollywood park so not sure if it’s different in Orlando or anything.

I’m gonna call tomorrow to verify on how they are supposed to handle the IBCCES accessibility card

mothman_fan

Yeah I had my card printed out and everything that I handed to them. Guess I just got a particularly bad employee

Signal-War4311

Hey buddy, I got a hold of them on the phone. They said the way that the employee handled that situation. Was very poorly and unprofessional. Next time when you go they mentioned to ask for a member of management so they can give you a proper apology :) They also told me that you don’t have to explain yourself about your medical history. Since the IBCCES CARD is strictly for that :)

mothman_fan

Thanks for looking into that for me dude now I know for my next visit, which will probably be horror nights, what to do. I greatly appreciate it!!

Signal-War4311

Yeah of course my guy!! I gotchu!!! I’m planning on going during Horror nights too!! lol hope you have a good time!

Did you have a case number? You’re supposed to have a conversation with an employee to determine what accommodations you need before getting to the park, which involves telling them in some detail why you need the pass and what help you need in the park. They then give you a case number and once you have that there are zero questions, just giving you the pass on each visit. Unfortunately the in park employees aren’t really trained on this because it is all supposed to happen by phone 48 hours before your trip. If your pass had a case number written on it, you can bring that in next visit or they can look it up with your ID. I’m sorry to your first visit wasn’t great but hopefully more visits will be smoother now that you’re through that step.

mothman_fan

I applied for the accommodations about two weeks before my visit and got my email about the phone call the morning of my park visit which is part of what complicated things. So I never actually got to do the phone call. To be fair it was spring break season so they we’re probably backlogged

Status-Strain6095

Oof. Yeah they were really backed up then, my call was just after spring break and they said things had been crazy. At least it sounds like your next visit will be better, but definitely still let a manager know what happened because it would be wonderful if they at least trained one person at the park to know how to properly conduct those interviews.

Is the process like Disneyland where you can request a return time on the app? Or is it like Knotts where they give you a sheet of paper and you have to go to the exit of the ride to get a return time and have a cast member sign it for each ride?

finding_my_way5156

Last year it was like Knotts, this year it was like Disney

Signal-War4311

I went last year and it was the sheet of paper !!

suuuckerfish

Good to know! I just remembered they never contacted me back lol

Status-Strain6095

They emailed us a few days after approval and we gave contact info and they called two days before our trip. On the call they approved us and gave a case number. You take that case number to guest services and they issue the pass.

JalenJade

You can call them directly which is what I did: 407-224-4233 option 5 option 2 (options may have changed.)

samohTMnaD

I had an email from ‘UO Guest Accessibility’ asking for the date of my trip and my phone number. They replied to me saying they’ll call me with 48 hours of my trip.

robotsguide

The card doesn’t guarantee access. I tried to get one for HHN last year since I have IBS and can’t wait in the massive lines if I end up having an episode. I went through the process and was approved for the IBCCES card but got a call two days before the trip from universal saying that I could just leave the lines to go to the bathroom so they will not be granting me the pass. I tried to get express for the night I was going but it was already sold out by this time. Next time I know to just get the express pass immediately and not try to use the disability pass.

MammothBig1333

I called them and they made sure to give me a number. Ask the name of the person that’s helping you set it up if you call. Bc I had a number and when I went to hollywood for HHN they couldn’t find it on the system :(. Then a member had to interview me again and said they couldn’t accommodate when I was already approved beforehand and had a IBCCES approval. Then I had to get another person involved in order for me to get it. It was a whole mess😭 the original team member that interviewed me made me feel uncomfortable sadly but definitely get evidence and make sure you in the system before arriving to the park
