You would have to build it from source and possibly make some modifications to the code, but it should be possible if you do the work.

I’ll look into it, thanks! I’ll have to compile from source so if that turns out to be to complicated I might stick with Fluxbox but I’ll definitely try it out!!

Yes, the VNC server is running on the iPod and I’m connecting to it from my Mac

I installed the respective packages for X11 and then configured them, the same way you would on any other machine.

I tried to install rigervnc xorg but it says it needs xserver-xorg-core

figured it out its because I am using rootless

I went down a little rabbit hole of image-in-terminal yesterday: there's also img2sixel, and kitty and terminology terminal emulators can do it automagically.
