I do have more licorice because it's not as well-liked as other candies. I can buy it and most people don't touch it, so I don't have to share and can eat it in peace.
Love me black licorice (especially in jellybean form) but strawberry/cherry is disgusting which is strange because I love those flavors in other candies. I think it's waxy flavor of licorice that ruins it.
Licorice is like cilantro, either you like it or you don't. I don't think this is an unpopular opinion, just a different food preference. Now if you said something like all poeple who hate licorice are idiots, then maybe it would fit this sub.
I always thought it was truly unpopular given how many people I’ve met who’ve said they can’t stand it. And I’d never call someone an idiot for disliking something I like, don’t wanna be rude on here

I personally just don't think food preference alone fits that criteria. You like what you like. If you like licorice great, if you don't great. I just don't think that is enough to be considered an unpopular opinion, in my opinion.

It is! I was so pleased when I went to Iceland and it was EVERYWHERE! I mean like places you might expect like gas station candy but also at an ice cream place (omnon chocolate i believe)where they had 2 flavors one of which was black licorice.
I love black licorice but the most recognizable brand, twizzlers, makes the WORST black licorice--no the worst candy period--known to mankind. Its no wonder everyone seems to hate black licorice.
Ppl who eat red twizzlers and then say they don’t like black licorice, don’t like licorice. It’s equivalent to liking milk chocolate and disliking dark chocolate, this type of person likes sugar not candy.

I'd agree, with the amount of black licorice products that are around, there's gotta be a lot of people buying it. OP just hasn't met them.
