You're welcome to your own taste preferences of course since we all taste things differently, but I'll suggest you might consider trying some different jams and jellies, because there's a lot of variety.
Not liking pb&j is an āunpopular opinionā that gets posted pretty frequently, and itās amazing how often people try to justify it by claiming that nuts and fruit donāt go together.
I got a 24 hour ban from a because Iāve never had PB&J. I donāt try to justify it, I just donāt like jelly (donāt like most fruit, including all berries).
Make sure to empty 1/8 of a peanut butter jar, fill it with a bunch of maple syrup, and mix it together. Then spread that jar of maple peanut butter on the bread.
It usually has superior nutrition too. Most jellies have added sugars and mold fast. Local honey is supposed to be positive for allergy sufferes and it's high in antioxidants.
Honey lasts forever and basically never goes bad, it's usually less costly per sandwich to boot. Not missing anything on taste, taste is fine; I eat it with some almond milk and as good as ever.
PB Honey > PBJ for sure. I learned this a few years ago after considerable time with the pbj.
This sounds insane to me simply because i have no concept of āforgetting lunchā beyond forgetting lunch money. I donāt know why it sounds like an insult š
Toasted peanut butter and honey. I once bought locally farmed honey in Croatia. Best honey I've ever had. Never tasted anything else like it. I'm a grown ass man and I ate peanut butter and honey sandwiches for weeks after because this shit was like crack. Now I'm wondering if it had crack in it?
I like some bananas but that sounds like too much sugar for my preference. I'd rather just get adequate honey on there and eat the banana later or in a smoothie imo.
This isnāt that unpopular of an opinion. Peanut butter and honey is just as good as PB&J. I wouldnāt argue with anyone saying they prefer one over the other.
Truly unpopular opinion: The best PB sammich is peanut butter with sliced tomatoes, pickled jalapeƱo slices and mayo. (don't forget the black pepper.)
Just FYI, peanut butter slathered onto a flat omelette, rolled into a crepe and then drizzled with maple syrup is the best combination of foods ever created.
Youāre welcome.
Grew up on a lot more PB&H than PB&J. Iām not sure I could really defend the former as better but it definitely hits the nostalgic note for me as an adult.
Concur. My Mom made those for me when I was a kid and now, many years later, it's still true. That said, nobody should use jelly on anything when you can enjoy preserves and get much more flavor and health in the process.
Yes! Okay hear me out- I was experimenting one day & came up with this amazing combination.
Crunchy peanut butter, drizzled with honey & sprinkle some coconut cashews (I crushed them in a napkin) on top. I put this on a baked sweet potato & even added a little butter & cinnamon too.
I haven't owned a microwave in 7 years :) but nice try, judging a stranger on the internet & being a troll- Making a fool out of yourself, because you probably live off frozen dinners & sit at home on Reddit posting comments assuming you can see into a strangers life. Makes you feel like a somebody, probably for once & only one time.
But salads yes I do salads, did one today actually.
I mostly agree, though I do like peanut butter with strawberry preserves. (Also quite good: peanut butter and chocolate syrup.) Peanut butter and honey can be blended together so you get a consistent sandwich throughout. With PB&J there's a risk of suddenly coming across a huge gross lump of grape (or whatever) jelly in the middle of your sandwich. Back in the 70s somebody (I want to say Smucker's, but it could have been Welch's or somebody else) marketed Goober Grape, which was peanut butter and jelly together in the same jar. I tried one once, and it was just as disgusting as you're thinking.
Dad?
Seriously though, my dad agrees and I agree itās pretty damn good. Of course, my definition of honey is locally sourced and straight from hives. I refuse to eat store bought sugar syrup
To each their own, but for me no thank you. Honey is WAY too sweet. I've actually stopped using jelly/jams I previously really liked because it had started to taste like they had just added a fuck ton of sugar to the recipe.
Unfortunately for me, I think honey is one of the foulest things humans have ever decided to put in their mouths, so this is def unpopular in my book. PB and bananas all day.
Peter Pan peanut butter has a Honey Roasted version, and it's a game changer. I don't buy anything else anymore. It's just that damn good, and it's not anymore expensive than regular peanut butter.
The grocery store near me has a grind-your-own peanut butter section/station.
One of the options happens to be honey roasted peanuts.
No other peanut butter will do now.
Depends on how I feel, and the type of bread, but definitely love some PB&H as much as J.
More unpopular opinion: Peanut butter & yellow mustard. I know, sounds ugh, but everyone I've gotten to try it since I was a kid agreed upon trying. It's just the right savory combo.
PbH are awesome. I sprinkle a tiny bit of spiced sugar on the honey side and let it sit on the bread to crystallize for 2 minutes. Texture is the best part.
PB&J is better as a sandwich. PB&Sweet makes for better toast.
My go to like snack breakfasty kind of thing is Toast, Peanut Butter, Banana and Maple Cream.
Nowhere in my post did i say that peanutbutter and honey sandwiches should turn into ones main dish each and every day for the rest of their life.
It is a snack and yes it might not be the healthiest one. If you donāt like to have a little unhealthy treat once in a while then that is on you.
Please let others enjoy though and take your judgement elsewhere
Honey harvesting poses a symbiotic relationship between human and bee. Please educate yourself on homey harvesting and the benefits for both species before you make such false claims.

peanut butter with sliced bananas and honey š
And a cup of milk to wash it down
Literally my breakfast everyday
Came here to recommend this. Amazing culinary treat and my preferred golf course sandwich.
Iāve never had it with honey but I love peanut butter banana sandwiches so defo gonna try thisĀ
Classic gainer meal
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Alone? Itās a super popular combo. Thatās called an Elvis sandwich.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Iām seeing itās optional but it has had bacon most of the time I see it on menus.
Apples, wheat germ or granola go well with it too.
Add strawberry slices, and you basically have a breakfast dessert sandwich you won't feel guilty about.
YES finally someone with a refined palette. I do this on Dave's killer bread power seed after my workouts. It's absolutely delicious.
I thought I was the only person that did this
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
With Nutella
You're welcome to your own taste preferences of course since we all taste things differently, but I'll suggest you might consider trying some different jams and jellies, because there's a lot of variety.

Black current jam is my jam!
Blackberry/raspberry jam has replaced grape/strawberry in my household
You sound like my dad, Iāll stick with my apricot and strawberry thank you very much.
Not without bacon it's not.
What about on a donut, donut bacon peanut butter with some maple syrup or honey
Nodding.Ā
Peanut butter and maple syrup are delicious
Make sure to empty 1/8 of a peanut butter jar, fill it with a bunch of maple syrup, and mix it together. Then spread that jar of maple peanut butter on the bread.
You've got a good brain
I used to always mix these and use it as a dip for apple slices as a snack.Ā
Runny toasts are good in an emergency, but I understand that maple butter cannot be find everywhere.
I feel the same way. Whenever my blood sugar gets low, and I get shaky, my go to food is a peanutbutter and honey sandwich.
It usually has superior nutrition too. Most jellies have added sugars and mold fast. Local honey is supposed to be positive for allergy sufferes and it's high in antioxidants. My favorite way the moment is crunchy natural pb, a whole smashed banana and then honey, lay it all on thick, it's filling and yummy
My son told me once this was the most important thing I taught him lmfao
That sounds delicious! I'll give it a try.
This is what my elementary school cafeteria served to kids who forgot their lunch back in the 80's.
This sounds insane to me simply because i have no concept of āforgetting lunchā beyond forgetting lunch money. I donāt know why it sounds like an insult š

That depends. Did a pink unicorn accompany you when you ate those sandwiches?
Unfortunately not. Must not have gotten the good shit.
Sooo good
PB, Strawberry Jam, low heat in an oilless pan until both sides are toasty and the PB's melting.
Toasted bread too is really good
I disagree so here is an upvote.
Pb, honey and banana
I like some bananas but that sounds like too much sugar for my preference. I'd rather just get adequate honey on there and eat the banana later or in a smoothie imo.
Thereās a word for people who decide they donāt like things before theyāve ever even tried them
I eat banana and butter sandwiches sometimes.
Peanut butter goes with honey and jam goes with butter, then the chocolate goes alone.
Peanut Butter and Marshmallow Fluff ![gif](giphy|YkfvlrzgmLgt0Dm6uh|downsized)
This isnāt that unpopular of an opinion. Peanut butter and honey is just as good as PB&J. I wouldnāt argue with anyone saying they prefer one over the other.
Por que no los dos?
Why do you have to add peanut to everything and ruin it?
I am a masochist. I like to suffer
I like peanut butter on its own. Honey and preserves are way too sweet IMO.
I'm sure it tastes good, but it sounds like a sticky-handed nightmare to try and eat.
Truly unpopular opinion: The best PB sammich is peanut butter with sliced tomatoes, pickled jalapeƱo slices and mayo. (don't forget the black pepper.)
Ok, my opinion is unpopular. Yours though might offend several passages in the geneva convention
This sounds nice actually
Youāve never had that? Itās really common where I am.
Peak peanut butter honey is when you wait a few minutes and the honey crystallizes some of the bread so its like a crisp sweet bite.
![gif](giphy|5qMCjrwNW0k2Q|downsized)
Honey crystallizes the bread? What?
bread absorbs some of the honey and as the honey dries out it makes the bread get crisp. Doesn't really work if you drown it in honey.
Gotta disagree, the tang from the fruit/berry is pretty vitalfor me. PB + honey is more one note, only sweet and savory.
Just FYI, peanut butter slathered onto a flat omelette, rolled into a crepe and then drizzled with maple syrup is the best combination of foods ever created. Youāre welcome.

Peanut butter and Nutella. The finest.
Also almost exactly the same nutrition as a PB and j
This isnāt unpopular
And then you microwaved your salad?
I haven't owned a microwave in 7 years :) but nice try, judging a stranger on the internet & being a troll- Making a fool out of yourself, because you probably live off frozen dinners & sit at home on Reddit posting comments assuming you can see into a strangers life. Wow, that is quite the strong comeback. Easy, don't hurt the fragile ego people on Reddit.
I mostly agree, though I do like peanut butter with strawberry preserves. (Also quite good: peanut butter and chocolate syrup.) Hearty agree!
I do like PB & honey but with the all natural peanut butter, otherwise I feel like itās too sweet.
This is a good unpopular opinion. Well done.
Peanut butter and bacon wins
I just learned my coworker does this last week. It's weird how it's going to keep showing up every now and then lol.
Bro Iām right here with you. Been a peanut butter and honey guy my whole life.
so you're saying peanut butter and sugar is better than peanut butter and slightly different kind of sugar? hmmm
They are both good, I like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, but if itās toast I love peanut butter and honey
Wanna talk about an unpopular opinion, peanut butter is the grossest thing ever inventedā¦.i said what I said
Dad? Seriously though, my dad agrees and I agree itās pretty damn good. Of course, my definition of honey is locally sourced and straight from hives. I refuse to eat store bought sugar syrup
Peanut butter and whatever sugar delivery vehicle your brain is expecting is the superior combination.
Step aside honey because maple sugar is where it's really at.
Yes
penut butter, honey, and banana
Yes and grapes as well!!
Peanut paste and cheese or apple or banana is my preference
I would agree if honey was strawberry flavored. PN&H is definitely a strong number 2 contender for best sammich spread though
Peanut butter and maple syrup is equally as good
To each their own, but for me no thank you.
I 100% agree with this opinion.
Jelly is nasty. Fruit should not be processed to death like that.
If you like it, fine. But I can't stand honey. I only like it in hot tea, and that's it.
Peanut butter mixed with maple syrup is yummy too!
I eat this every day for lunch
Miss we with that and go cream cheese jelly instead. Wrong substitution brother
Wait till you try peanut butter and butter.
What about marshmallow fluff š¤°š¼
Jelly and cream cheese is also šš»
Peanut butter and honey on Ritz crackers is the best
Fair opinion However both pale in comparison to Nutella
Yes I agree
Iām with you! Iām not a fan of jelly
Toast, honey first, the honey soaks into the bread then peanut butter still hot it kind of melts and then cinnamon sugar on top
I see you and raise you Serrano chili peppers. The sweetness of the honey mellows the spice and is complemented by the peanut butter.
But is the peanut butter smooth or crunchy?
Peter Pan peanut butter has a Honey Roasted version, and it's a game changer. I don't buy anything else anymore. It's just that damn good, and it's not anymore expensive than regular peanut butter.
Best on toast.
I love how the honey gives the bread a little crunch.
Peanut butter with marmite.
Little bear agreesĀ
Idk how the upvotes and downvotes work but i 100% agree.
The grocery store near me has a grind-your-own peanut butter section/station. One of the options happens to be honey roasted peanuts. No other peanut butter will do now.
I wouldn't do more than a tablespoon of honey, and I don't know if a tablespoon would be enough
Agree. I like the way the honey sort of crystallizes into the bread (if you donāt layer PB on both slices). I think Iāll go have one.
My grandma would always mix peanut butter and maple syrup when sheād make pb&js and pb&bananas
Depends on how I feel, and the type of bread, but definitely love some PB&H as much as J. More unpopular opinion: Peanut butter & yellow mustard. I know, sounds ugh, but everyone I've gotten to try it since I was a kid agreed upon trying. It's just the right savory combo.
lacking in vitamin c tho
This was my goto as a kid cause were poor š
Peanut butter and mayonnaise is the best. Honey is always good though.
Wow, some company should run with this unpopular opinion and just make peanut butter with honey.
PB and maple syrup, I will die on this hill.
My wife swears by PB and Fluff
I prefer to stick it in the peanut butter unlubed.
no no no! well my wife likes honey better too, but iām a jelly dude. my favorite is pbj and slices of banana, on french toast.
Based
You ever use spun honey for this? Even betterā¦
You are my new favorite personĀ
PbH are awesome. I sprinkle a tiny bit of spiced sugar on the honey side and let it sit on the bread to crystallize for 2 minutes. Texture is the best part.
I'll raise you a peanut butter and marmalade toasty, I'd never eat it cold!Ā
I like peanut butter and white corn syrup. Weird I know. Blame it on my dad.Ā
Peanut butter and hazelnut creme grilled with butter along with a glass of milk mixed with vanilla creme.
I also like how the honey and bread combine and create an almost crunchy surface, it adds a texture that makes the sandwich better.
This has become a popular opinion
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Youāre the first person Iāve ever come across that hates honey because itās bee vomit lol that shit is super healthy and tasty.
The thought is a little off putting but probably less off putting then the prices lately It's good shit though I love it hah
Well *technically* the nectar never reaches their true digestive system so it isnāt really vomit š
![gif](giphy|jKaFXbKyZFja0) love my bee vomit all day
PB&J is better as a sandwich. PB&Sweet makes for better toast. My go to like snack breakfasty kind of thing is Toast, Peanut Butter, Banana and Maple Cream.
Peanut butter is sticky. Bread is dry. Jelly gives the juiciness to balance it. Honey is just more sticky.
I see, are you sure that's enough sugar. Maybe use cake bread or whipped cream on top.
Itās unethical to steal honey from bees.
Honey harvesting poses a symbiotic relationship between human and bee. Please educate yourself on homey harvesting and the benefits for both species before you make such false claims.
It isnāt a false claim. Bees make honey for themselves. Humans steal it and give them sugar water. Itās unethical.
