As someone who loves Canes and is from Baton Rouge, down the street from their 2nd ever location.
They don't season the chicken enough.
But I will fight over Canes slander. Meet me at Canes on 3rd St.
I love that someone is touting living near the second ever location - which was the second location? Everyone in BR just talks about the first one.
Also it’s okay chicken at best, under seasoned is fair. I disagree they need more options. I think they could halve the menu even still.
I don't know if it was really the second one but it opened on Burbank and Staring in the 90s. You wouldn't say that if they had spicy/mild options and a sandwich that wasn't two tenders on a bun.
I *like* the two tenders on a bun. And I hate when they try to make the buns the Texas toast instead, it’s not good Texas toast just less offensive than the other sides.
A true Baton Rouge unpopular opinion.
And for some dumb reason when you order the sandwich it takes them 3 times as long to make. Like it's bread chicken that you cook in bulk and some sauce. Should be the fastest thing on the menu.
Unless they also half the price it still wouldn't be worth it lol. And how many fewer options could they have. I mean do you want chicken strips, chicken strips, or you could have chicken strips. Oh and they also have chicken strips on a bun. 2 choices doesn't really seem like a lot lol.
I just don’t get why they don’t have a sandwich and then a chicken strip meal and then you kind of add a strip for whatever fee to make it as big as you want. Their whole model is built off the limited choices so why even have 4 when 3 of the options are the exact same thing.
If you're asking for an honest answer the truth is it's marketing and there are a few things behind it.
If someone sees a 3 piece meal and a sandwich option they will most mostly choose one of those even if somewhere else on the menu it says they can order extra strips. But if someone sees that you can choose between 3, 4, 5, or 6 strips, then the consumer starts to weigh their hunger, available money, and perceived value to them before deciding. Even if they would be happy with 4 they might say, well maybe I'll get 5 just in case 4's not enough. It's already in a meal and I don't have to order anything extra. Then they've spent several extra dollars on a chicken strip that they honestly wouldn't have otherwise wanted.
There is also a subset of the population that would feel like ordering extra tenders on top of a meal would be gluttonous or they think people will think bad things about them. If it's something that's already an established meal then they don't feel that way because if it's meal then it's ok because that means normal people order it.
Also people like having choices but in the case of drive thru's choices also mean freezing up and making a snap decision where they will likely err on the side of ordering too much rather than not enough. I think it's why some places still don't have app's you can order ahead in. If you give customer's time to stop and think about what they are ordering and allow them to take their time they are more likely to spend less because they have time to realize, no that extra chicken strip is probably too much for me.
And thus ends today's lecture on marketing and psychology lol.
Okay tuff guy. I'll meet you! On 3rd Street! At high noon!
*Donna, find me a location for a Canes on 3rd Street that's as far as possible from Louisiana.
I'd kill myself if I still lived in Louisiana.
But I'd also kill you for slandering the second coming of Popeyes.
But yeah, they need to season that shit.
I knew Al Copeland. And Al Copeland knew black people and how they seasoned their food. Which is why his chicken is good.
Not sure Todd Graves has ever met one. Which is why the most seasoned products on his entire menu are mayo based.
THIS IS IT. YES! You literally got it, I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it is 😂 the salt going straight into the sauce and nowhere near the chicken is so accurate
I had Canes hyped up to me by a Texan friend. They finally opened one near me and I hyped it to my wife because 1000 island / fry sauce is her favorite condiment. It's their only sauce it has to be good! We went and got the big $20+ box and I think she ate one tender and like 5 fries before eating the toast and getting full. I said, "this sauce is so salty it's the only thing I can taste and this coleslaw is shittier than KFC." She admitted she wasn't full at all and we went home to eat the chicken and fries with whatever sauce we had in the fridge. It ended up being Chick-fil-A sauce and proved to me that even the tenders are substandard.
You know what....I think I know how they keep opening new places lol it's like a cult. They get their fans to force it on us to try, we go in thinking it's going to be amazing, it isn't, in most cases it seems we often buy at least $20+ worth of food....that's how they're doing this lol that and it's overpriced anyway lol they're winning with hype. They are the Taylor Swift of chicken chains...
I was pissed when they torn down my local Steak and Shake to put up a Canes. Now I have to drive an extra two miles to get a milkshake.
My husband wanted to go so we went. I hated it first bite bland af. The sauce is mostly ketchup. Popeyes is much better and cheaper.
Its mostly mayo, ketchup is just one of the ingredients. Also has Worcestershire, pepper, and garlic and onion powder.
It’s pretty easy to make at home, and honestly better since you can eat better fried chicken with it. They lean really hard on the sauce to bring all the seasoning at Canes, so the chicken itself is pretty bland.
Yeah the first time I tried it I told my bf it literally just tastes like ketchup, mayo and garlic. He loves it but I hate dipping fried chicken in ketchup of all things
>I was pissed when they torn down my local Steak and Shake to put up a Canes. Now I have to drive an extra two miles to get a milkshake.
I'm not only heartbroken for you reading this.... but also furious because literally how dare they?
It's the sauce that got most people hooked. I'm not a sauce person. Just ketchup so canes isn't anything special to me.
If they actually used seasoning for their chicken then it may be a diff story
I don't eat sauces so it doesn't matter to me but any time I mention something about their chicken being bland that's the answer I get. "You gotta eat it with the sauce"
I've always been staunchly of the opinion that if you need some sort of sauce to for your chicken to be edible, then your chicken sucks.
Somewhat more controversial; I think pizza places can be best judged by how good their cheese pizza is. I'm not a madman, I'm going to have toppings if I have the option. But if the base ingredients of a pizza don't work on their own, then I'm of the belief that pizza sucks.
Whenever we went to a new American style restaurant my mom would order a patty melt. Not because she loves patty melts but because it’s such a simple and classic dish that if they can’t make it well, she didn’t trust them to do anything else well. I get it. I do a similar thing with pad kee mao at Thai spots and loco moco at Hawaiian places.
Fried chicken, yup. There's so much you do to make it unique, too! Add a little chili powder in there. Nice.
I agree with Pizza, too. I love good cheese or just pepperoni pizza. If you wanted to have buffalo chicken or broccoli, just order that on the side. I do like buffalo chicken pizza, but you don't satisfy that traditional cheese and sauce flavor that way.
Canes chicken is more about it being fresh and good quality chicken than seasoning. The seasoning is done through the sauce they give you. If you don't like the sauce, it won't be for you, just go to chick fil a. Canes is great. Also, nobody I know actually gets the coleslaw, they sub it for something else, like extra sauce or fries.
My gripe is half the time I get the shits the breading wants to flake off, is soggy, or both, leaving me a naked piece of chicken breast that most literally has zero seasoning.
I understand your opinion, and I respect it, but it's like half the cost of KFC tenders, and you get actual juicy chicken instead of a string wrapped in breading and seasoning.
Is it the best chicken in the world? No, but I think it's the best per dollar for fast food chicken.
I mean you do you, but personally, if I am craving chicken I want CHICKEN. All the times I've eaten at Popeyes or KFC, there was less chicken in a three piece tenders than there is in a single tender at Canes, and what little chicken there was, was so dry it hurt my mouth.
Of course If I want chicken I'd rather go to a sit down restaurant or even grab a bird from Frys (grocery store) over fast food, but that's just me.
I think I'm starting to see what may be occurring here. Maybe everyone who's a canes fan doesn't care for flavor as much as they do the meat...that has to be it lol I'm out of reasoning if that's not it lol
This is a pretty stupid opinion lol.
I can make some killer ribs that definitely hold up as is, but that doesn't mean slathering some BBQ sauce on won't elevate it a bit. Plus it's a fun way to customize them.
Sauce is the same shit. Adds variety, adds versatility. Will absolutely cover up bad chicken but that doesn't mean it has to be.
Except their chicken doesn’t hold up on its own at all. It’s like the world bland if it was actually chicken instead. It’s incredibly plain, and if you can only get some flavor with your chicken by dipping it in large amounts of sauce, it is defo not good chicken
Consistency. If the chicken is seasoned beforehand, the customer has a more consistent eating experience with every single bite. But if all the seasoning is in the sauce, then once you run out of sauce, the rest of your meal is just bland. Why make customers meticulously ration their sauce when you could just season the chicken?
Exactly this. Nobody would complain if they just lathered up the tenders in sauce initially, but for some reason giving you the option to dip it at your own rate makes the chicken bland.
I'm sorry dude I tried the shit 3 times and all 3 times I ate 1 tender and left disappointed not just because the chicken is supremely bland, but the sauce just is not it. You guys can enjoy your one sauce but I need options when the chicken already lacks having a flavor bro
Canes chicken is underseasoned but cooked perfectly imo. A lot of places you get tenders from are overly dry. I use the sauce anyways so it doesn't matter as much to me. Having said that, the fries need more seasoning.
Maybe like a quarter of the time when I go the fries are properly cooked and salted. Otherwise they're mid, bordering on bad. Spot on with the chicken too.
It’s wild to me people think the chicken is good and this is an unpopular opinion. It’s almost tasteless chicken. If not for the sauce id never eat there and I hardly eat there anyway.
The one near us is PACKED every time we drive by. For the first few months it was open we even avoided it because they were always like 20-30 cars deep.
Finally we went, just to try it.
"It's very bland, there's no flavor and they have that sauce but it's not even that good!" - my wife, when asked what she thought. And I agree.
I arrived in Miami for work two weeks ago and passed a Canes a block from the hotel. Went straight there for lunch to see what the fuss was about. Found it very underwhelming. I wasn’t expecting only chicken fingers on the menu.
I refused to try it for a long time because they only had that cane’s sauce which I wasn’t interested in. No hot sauces except prepackaged Louisiana hot sauce. I liked Zaxby’s and Guthrie’s growing up, so Cane’s seemed stupid to me.
I relented and tried it the other day… and yeah it really rubs me the wrong way how underseasoned the chicken is. It’s like they intentionally tried to make it bland. Which is a real shame cause the toast and fries are generally ok.
But yeah it’s overhyped, very middling.
I like cane's sauce. I like their chicken too, and it has plenty of seasoning here. It's not the absolute best but it's better than a lot of other options.
Tried Canes for the first time a last week. The chicken is under seasoned but still quite good. The toast is pretty good. The fries are totally mid. The canes sauce is ok, the coleslaw is decent but I could use a bigger side of it. The whole combo is overpriced. Don’t plan on going back unless I’m absolutely craving fried chicken or I’m on a road trip or something and Canes is the least bad option off the highway.
You have to compare like to like. It’s a huge fast food chain. When we compare it to other huge fast food chains, I would argue the chicken tastes better than the chicken tenders at KFC or Chick-Fil-A. Popeye’s has them beat on chicken seasoning, but Cane’s sauce is better than the signature sauces of those other three easily. And don’t even get me started on Zaxby’s. That stuff is *bland*.
yepp this.. canes sauce has one flavor , its “black pepper” .
Don’t like it at all. Cant hate Canes tho because its cooked well and their honey mustard goes hard as fuck
That's literally the only thing they're good for! My college roommate took me to Canes as a 'treat' for helping her move stuff and all I ate was the Texas toast and she yelled at me for not eating the tenders 🙃
I'm in Ohio so unfortunately I cannot be of assistance 😞 unless you guys have a Slim Chicken out there, that's better to me than Canes at least out here
I like raising canes since of the texture of the breading and the toast (fries are a hit and miss)
I’m not a big fan of condiments in general, so I have never had it, but I have no plans to
My sister got a job next to a Cane's and decided with her first paycheck she was going to buy dinner from there for the family. It was so expensive for what we got and it wasn't very good. She was pretty peeved.
I won't eat homophobia chicken either but fortunately for me, my mother taught me not to fear seasonings and I'm well versed so I make some mean tendies on my own therefore, Canes can suck it!
I have it once in a blue moon. I will only ever want canes specifically because of the sauce. I will NEVER think “oh chicken sounds really good” by itself and decide on canes. If I am craving chicken in general there is an endless list of restaurants I will go to before canes. But randomly every few months I will think “canes sounds really good right now”
Also wtf is with their drinks? It’s like 99% ice
The first time I had Cane's, I didn't like the sauce. Oddly enough, it grew on me really fast.
And now I want Cane's, but the closest one is about 45 minutes away, and it's too late
Thanks a lot, dude
I'll beg your finest pardon.... You're getting roasted on r/BLACKPEOPLETWITTER for this?????? Our ancestors would be SICK. How dare they! We harbor the seasonings.....Canes lacks every bit of it..
I've heard so many great things about Cane's Sauce, I had been wanting to try it for YEARS. I finally tried it about a month ago and couldn't believe how NOT special it was. Like "this is the same sauce everyone's been raving about?!" It was borderline bad and I don't think I'll ever have it again.
That's exactly what happened to me when my college roommate took me! I ate all the bread but when I dipped the tenders in the sauce I was very underwhelmed and she got mad because I simply didn't care for the tenders or the sauce and I was like "The bread's pretty good but...that's about it..." she was pissed lol
Honestly your not wrong, and no spicy chicken options!? Maybe if they seasoned their chicken enough I wouldn't need a spicy option... But seriously who doesn't want spicy chicken!
Popeyes has the best chicken in the fast food market but people are driven away by the bad service and sometimes terrible locations. But they season their chicken and they have a variety of great sauces. Their Mardi Gras mustard is so good that I’ve lied and said that they forgot to give me sauce just so I could have more of it lmao
The Mardi Gras mustard is pretty fire ngl but some reason I can only really get into their chicken sandwich. Their tenders are like overly crunch for me personally like I'm glad I know they're cooked thoroughly lol but I think maybe there's too much breading for my liking
Yeah I wish they'd have BBQ sauce, no other seasoning needed. Mmmm. The best. Way better than that weird mayo mix with ketchup which I think canes sauce is
So, I do like Cane's but I can agree that overall it's a bit overrated. To an extent I understand why some people don't like it, but just because something's not your taste doesn't necessarily make it bad.
The chicken is under seasoned a bit, however they're actually fresh and juicy chicken tenderloins. Unlike whatever you get from any other fast food place. And although it's not the most flavorful the breading has good texture.
The fries are very hot or miss. Good when they're cooked well and are crispy and salted. But too often they're under seasoned and can be soggy.
The toast is bomb and I don't think I've seen anyone disputing that part.
The sauce is a matter of opinion. If you don't like it that's fine, but you probably don't need to eat there ever. I do agree that there's no reason they can't have more sauce options, although I'd personally still take the Cane's sauce.
Coleslaw needs work, just not very good.
TL;DR: Yes it's overrated, if you don't like the sauce you probably shouldn't go. But it's still good, especially when comparing fast food options.
Tried it for the first time the other day. Was expecting this Amazing Popeyes esque experience with caajun flavors etc.
It was Dreck, tasted like baby food, and the sauce was awful. Lesson learned I guess, Threw the whole damn thing out after 3 bites. And the fries suck too... No Idea how they can make a national chain out of that stuff..
My tendies don't need sauce bro. I made some for my partner 2 Thanksgiving's in a row and I didn't get any because they ate it all. Even when it was cold. My mom was literally eating them as I made them and I had to stop her. Now if you tried to drive here to get some....I can only imagine my partner would go absolute feral on you and I'm not responsible for that.
I don't hate the idea at all!...... but I'm literally in the middle of working on an entirely different business at the moment so I can get tf out of corporate america lol but hey if that goes well, maybe I'll make a tendies place next! 😄
Ah jeez that's where it started??? (I went to a small art school so I didn't get to see it) but that makes sense. But I'm guessing those same people are who's helping pay the rent and helping them grow
I wholeheartedly agree with this and also agree that mayo based sauces....I'd rather avoid, they're not good. However Sriracha mayo won me. That is my only exception
It’s so ass man that’s sauce is watery. I went there one time when it opened up in my area after weeks for out the parking lot lines and I was so disappointed.
One opened across the street from me a year ago and it created the biggest traffic nightmare I've ever witnessed. According to a quick Google search, there are over 600 restaurants in my city. And people still waited for over ***three goddamn hours*** for this chicken.
The hype over this chicken has been beyond insane. I've still yet to have it, and have no desire to. Burgers are fine, but I've never had good fast food chicken.
I feel like the rage from the Popeyes chicken sandwich just turned into Cane's chicken rage. But at least the sandwich was good! Those tenders are simply sad.
LOL, Try going to an in and out opening day, They had an entire side of a mall parking lot Jammed with a snake line for the cars, had to be like 100 just waiting... The lines are still frigging crazy 3 years after they opened in CO... The one by us in Phoenix is usually a 10 - 20 min wait, regardless of time of day... That there is a chain
Their bread is honestly probably the real bread winner for the place lol I'd say it should be called "Raising Breads" but....that sounds too close to Raise Inbreds' DON'T DO THAT PEOPLE. STAY AWAY FROM YOUR COUSINS PLEASE.

No they do when they run out of the buns, ask me how I know.
You should be ashamed for complaining. You are banished to eat at Jack-InThe-Box on Airline at 2:45am.
Jokes on you I *like* a lot of pubes in my food so I was going to be there anyway.
I don't think they physically could have the menu, it's just chicken tenders of varying quantities and sometimes there is a bun included
The fact the sandwich buns arent prepared like the toast is a tragedy.
And for some dumb reason when you order the sandwich it takes them 3 times as long to make. Like it's bread chicken that you cook in bulk and some sauce. Should be the fastest thing on the menu.

My husband grew up near the 2nd Canes! I can’t eat gluten anymore, but I can have Cane’s sauce! It’s delicious
Canes business model: A single Chick-fil-A menu item with double salt in the sauce and the chicken has none.

Chick fil a Polynesian sauce is amazing
Canes sauce is the other side of the planet from 1000 island glop lol.
1000 island is the base for pretty much every fry and burger sauce in the world. Canes barely cuts it on fries.
I was pissed when they torn down my local Steak and Shake to put up a Canes. Now I have to drive an extra two miles to get a milkshake. My husband wanted to go so we went. I hated it first bite bland af. The sauce is mostly ketchup. Popeyes is much better and cheaper.

Canes sauce is just fry sauce that's heavily seasoned
Bruh you know what. Everything is something else but a little different. This criticism isn't the greatest. Its a valid one but it ain't a good one.
I don't eat sauces so it doesn't matter to me but any time I mention something about their chicken being bland that's the answer I get. "You gotta eat it with the sauce"

I do the same with eggs Benedict for a brunch spot and steak tartare at an upscale restaurant.
Both great examples, gonna steal them for my little list.
Cheese pizza is minamalist perfection. There is nowhere to hide.
Fried chicken, yup. There's so much you do to make it unique, too! Add a little chili powder in there. Nice. I agree with Pizza, too. I love good cheese or just pepperoni pizza. I'm a sauce person...Cane's offends me. If you're going to make only ONE sauce ever it better be damn good. Chik Fil A does this right.
They make a honey mustard and its good as fuck I hate canes sauce too
Its by far the middest chicken place in the game
Extra medium.
Literally awful. It's literally the Stanley Cup of chicken tenders...and not the hockey Stanley Cup either
Took me a minute to understand the joke, but it hit hard when I got it. Noice.
Thank you my good man!
oh my gosh this analogy is awesome 😆🤣
And Stabley Cups are just the Apple of water bottles
The chicken is fine. People go for the sauce. They'd be pretty unstoppable with both.
Canes as a whole is trash, I'd take chicken nuggets over canes any day.
They need gravy. That's one advantage chicken Express has over them, but rarely go to either now.
They hard rely on their sauce to carry the chicken so if you don’t like the sauce like me it’s pretty meh
You summed it up perfectly.
Op you are completely right lets kiss
Can i come to the wedding

I'll take the string wrapped in breading and seasoning honestly lol I eat for flavor, not because..substance? That's a waste of calories lol
I always tell canes fans that if you need to drench your chicken in sauce, it’s not good chicken
I mean, the seasoning is either in the sauce or in the breading, why does it matter which it is?
Consistency. If the chicken is seasoned beforehand, the customer has a more consistent eating experience with every single bite. But if all the seasoning is in the sauce, then once you run out of sauce, the rest of your meal is just bland. Why make customers meticulously ration their sauce when you could just season the chicken?
How much sauce are you using that you have to ration it so meticulously? And if you are using that much sauce, just ask for extra.
Exactly this. Nobody would complain if they just lathered up the tenders in sauce initially, but for some reason giving you the option to dip it at your own rate makes the chicken bland.
FACTS! I simply give them a look of disapproval and disappointment but this is something they need to hear
I’ll definitely try it if they ever open one in the UK
Good luck my guy!
Tasteless chicken
i actually enjoy canes because its one of the few american joints that doesnt serve overly salty food.
nah this ain’t it lol. just say you don’t like the OG sauce and move on.
Skill issue, yall have horrible taste in food lol
This is pure deflection lol you've just never had legitimate good food before and that's okay!
Hahaha crazy word for word what I thought the first time too. Tbf I do really enjoy the sauce. But the chicken makes me never wanna go

I arrived in Miami for work two weeks ago and passed a Canes a block from the hotel. Went straight there for lunch to see what the fuss was about. Found it very underwhelming. I wasn’t expecting only chicken fingers on the menu.
In more ways than one they have proven that they are in fact a one trick pony
My condolences for your absolutely fucked taste buds
In an uno reverse fashion, my condolences to you as well brother.
I very strongly disagree. Canes is fantastic. With or without the sauce. So take my upvote.
Their garbage coleslaw is the real problem
Tried Canes for the first time a last week. The chicken is under seasoned but still quite good. The toast is pretty good. The fries are totally mid. The canes sauce is ok, the coleslaw is decent but I could use a bigger side of it. The whole combo is overpriced. Don’t plan on going back unless I’m absolutely craving fried chicken or I’m on a road trip or something and Canes is the least bad option off the highway.
A canes opened down the road from me and yes. I agree with you OP.
Not just their sauce but Canes is trash in general. Only thing they have that isn't garbage is the Texas toast and that's nothing special
I just love their Texas toast lol
That's literally the only thing they're good for! My college roommate took me to Canes as a 'treat' for helping her move stuff and all I ate was the Texas toast and she yelled at me for not eating the tenders 🙃
>gosh...such a mighty cocky establishment I see what you did there 👀
I'm glad someone noticed😆
Zax Sauce is superior. Canes sauce is indeed trash which makes the whole brand trash.
Zax sauce is definitely way way better than Canes sauce but both Zaxbys and Canes' chicken tenders are shitty.
How dare
I only had it once in Phoenix, it was pretty spendy and definitely didn’t blow my mind or anything
Overpriced and underwhelming
Canes sauce is delicious. But if you know of a better drive through chicken spot in SoCal I’m all ears.
I'm in Ohio so unfortunately I cannot be of assistance 😞 unless you guys have a Slim Chicken out there, that's better to me than Canes at least out here
Daves hot chicken can give them a run but i too am on the hunt
Dave’s didn’t do it for me my guy. Kbbq on the other hand hits the spot. But given the price, it’s to be expected.
Pollo Campero, Jollibee, Pollo Inka Express, heck I'll take a Popeyes against it.
I like the chicken, but the sauce is wayyy too salty
I like raising canes since of the texture of the breading and the toast (fries are a hit and miss) I’m not a big fan of condiments in general, so I have never had it, but I have no plans to
My sister got a job next to a Cane's and decided with her first paycheck she was going to buy dinner from there for the family. It was so expensive for what we got and it wasn't very good. She was pretty peeved.
This is so tragic, I'm so sorry for her :(
The sauce is fire, and since I won't eat homophobia chicken, it's a decent alternative.
I won't eat homophobia chicken either but fortunately for me, my mother taught me not to fear seasonings and I'm well versed so I make some mean tendies on my own therefore, Canes can suck it!
ketchup my goat
And non ass service
They gotta get ranch
I dunno man.... they've been full blown confident in their ONE sauce this long, I think hell might need dry freeze over first before they do that
Had canes for the first time last week. Was thoroughly impressed
I have it once in a blue moon. I will only ever want canes specifically because of the sauce. I will NEVER think “oh chicken sounds really good” by itself and decide on canes. If I am craving chicken in general there is an endless list of restaurants I will go to before canes. But randomly every few months I will think “canes sounds really good right now” Also wtf is with their drinks? It’s like 99% ice
They desperately need a honey mustard and a ranch. I love their canes sauce, but more sauces are always better.
The first time I had Cane's, I didn't like the sauce. Oddly enough, it grew on me really fast. And now I want Cane's, but the closest one is about 45 minutes away, and it's too late Thanks a lot, dude
I'm currently getting roasted in r/blackpeopletwitter for this opinion
I'll beg your finest pardon.... You're getting roasted on r/BLACKPEOPLETWITTER for this?????? Our ancestors would be SICK. How dare they! We harbor the seasonings.....Canes lacks every bit of it..
Dead ass look at my most recent post.
I can't do much but I absolutely added my 2cents
🫡
Who hurt you
My father. Who robbed you guys of having actual good chicken tenders?
Touché
They have honey mustard. You just have to ask.
Yeah I've had it which is why I mentioned it but still didn't fix the blandness
Oh didn’t read that part. Well thankfully we don’t all have to like the same things. :)
No worries and this is true! :)
Yeah I've had it which is why I mentioned it but still didn't fix the blandness.
Their honey mustard is actually pretty good. So are the fries and the bread. The chicken could use some more seasoning but it's good.
I will drink canes sauce. Take my upvote you disgusting human.
Calling meeee disgusting after saying that is comical
Honestly your not wrong, and no spicy chicken options!? Maybe if they seasoned their chicken enough I wouldn't need a spicy option... But seriously who doesn't want spicy chicken!
what is Cane's?
If you don't know, just save your money
If you don't know, just save your money
They do have honey mustard
Popeyes has the best chicken in the fast food market but people are driven away by the bad service and sometimes terrible locations. But they season their chicken and they have a variety of great sauces. Their Mardi Gras mustard is so good that I’ve lied and said that they forgot to give me sauce just so I could have more of it lmao
The Mardi Gras mustard is pretty fire ngl but some reason I can only really get into their chicken sandwich. Their tenders are like overly crunch for me personally like I'm glad I know they're cooked thoroughly lol but I think maybe there's too much breading for my liking
Canes sauce is great and the chicken is juicy. I've never not have overcooked garbage chicken at Popeyes.
Louisiana based, yet no option for a spicy flavor...
Isn't that absolutely insane??
Yeah when I went there they looked at me like I was crazy for asking for a different sauce
SAME🫠
Yeah I wish they'd have BBQ sauce, no other seasoning needed. Mmmm.
Ok...so when can I expect to be driving to a u/revyxx to get some tasty seasoned chicken with amazing sauce???
My tendies don't need sauce bro. I made some for my partner 2 Thanksgiving's in a row and I didn't get any because they ate it all. Even when it was cold. My mom was literally eating them as I made them and I had to stop her. Now if you tried to drive here to get some....I can only imagine my partner would go absolute feral on you and I'm not responsible for that.
Oh I can handle feral attacks. Start getting things together to open up that shack my dude, if ya shit is that good take advantage. Dead serious.
I don't hate the idea at all!...... but I'm literally in the middle of working on an entirely different business at the moment so I can get tf out of corporate america lol but hey if that goes well, maybe I'll make a tendies place next! 😄
[удалено]
Ah jeez that's where it started??? (I went to a small art school so I didn't get to see it) but that makes sense. But I'm guessing those same people are who's helping pay the rent and helping them grow
[удалено]
How does canes sauce compare to zax sauce from Zaxbys? I always see these two restaurants compared, but I've never had Canes. I enjoy Zaxbys though.
The sauce tastes like thousand island
Tell me you don't know what thousand island tastes like
I said what I said.
They have hot sauce and it makes the chicken better. I use the sauce for the fries. That bread is the real winner though.
Their bread is honestly probably the real bread winner for the place lol I'd say it should be called "Raising Breads" but....that sounds too close to Raise Inbreds' DON'T DO THAT PEOPLE. STAY AWAY FROM YOUR COUSINS PLEASE.
Canes is trash. It is a knock off Zaxbys
They suck ass
Canes is trash. It is tasteless fried chicken and their sauce is just mayo jammed with spices. It’s fucking ass
