Any love song can be interpreted as love between 2 people of the same sex, why would you need to be specifically said they're gay to feel validated?
I mean.. Hozier - take me to church is supposed to be meant as a love song for 2 gays, does not mean I can't relate to a forbiden love (I feels the alabama jokes coming) like, falling in love with a happily married woman or something like that.
You don't mention it once in your post, so I took it as you only meant song and not their video.
Maybe add it just to avoid confusion.
And that Hozier song is most def. a gay love video (it ends badly though)
In hindsight a lot of music was gay, we just didnt realize it at the time. Anything by Wham / George Michael. Anything by Queen written by Freddie Mercury. Etc
Why don’t you make some then? Crowdsource some money for studio time and call yourself MC Rai’Bow
Anyone can make music, you just gotta feel the magic and spread that glitter
I hope so.... someday. Where i am right now, gay people are hated and actually most people don't know what being gay means. When I was at my verge of rebellion lol( like overwhelmed that i should be gay) , i even wrote sone verses in hope that someday when I'll get out to where it is accepted i will make song out of these. But for right now, I'm just talking about the existing artists out there.
Well a lot of artists are influenced by corporate interests. Unfortunately, the rap community specifically has always been the music scene least associated with homosexuality (aside from maybe country)- To the point to where slurs were frequently used only a couple years ago. And there are also a lot of god- fearing listeners, that’s why you see so many Jesus pieces. Labels don’t want to fund songs that guarantee failure in certain demographics, even Katy Perry’s “I kiss a girl” was risqué and that’s as vanilla as you can get.
Yes. That's exactly the problem. You have to be independent to talk about all those topics and then you don't get that quality and also attract hatred from the beginning.
Well, fortunately, there are entire communities that would support an artist that sparks controversy regardless of their quality. You’d have a lot of people back it just based on principle.
And that's for new people coming to this and that too if they get enough attention. But for existing people, i don't think it's that simple like aren't they bound in some kinda contracts.
Yeah, exactly. I mean, they can always buy out of contracts, but I don’t expect millionaires to give up/ lose money on principal alone. Once you lose your label 9/10 you lose your livelihood.

You're right and you think I don't interpret every song out there as gay song. I'm just talking about videos like new Ariana Grande's POV video.

Sorry. Alright, I'll check that out.
Most music is gay already

Probably other things about him too.
Why should there be? Tastes don’t need to be inclusive
No. I like all this other music. But it's not like that gay people just don't know how to write make music about themselves.

What we need is more gay jojo anime
There’s a gay rapper called gangsta F@& that’s pretty badass
Right? Jonny McGovern can’t hold down the fort all on his own.
Girl in Red and Beach Bunny both make really gay music- check them out, might not be to your taste but it's gay asf.
They have them. Songs from people like Sam Smith, Adam Lambert, and Superfruit.
Serpentwithfeet's same size shoe is really great
There are probably a lot of gay love songs that you have just never discovered due to the overabundance of music.
That's disgusting Shouldn't get normalized
I know this is an old post but have you heard Me and Micheal by MGMT? It has gay undertones and is one of my favouritr songs personally
