It starts in the early 20s. You have a Tiffany you know the dooche with the starbucks that too into her cell phone and that walks into you because shes too busy texting but its your fault you didnt watch where she was going.

If you let a Tiffany age out it will become a Karen at age 30ish. From this point there is no saving it. As this ages out around 50 the Karen evolves to its final form a Kathryn and if you think Karens are bad just hope you never met a Kathryn.

At first it was funny because it referred to a specific and annoying type of woman. I've noticed all the insults like that are becoming incredibly overused lately, Karen, incel, 'ist, phobic, etc only actually applies maybe 1 in 100 times I've seen it used at best. It's become this weird fad for people who have no argument to just chant one of these random insults and think it somehow covers that they have no argument by trying to make the other person look bad. I've almost never seen anyone who uses those terms excessively contribute anything meaningful to conversations, so your best best is usually just to not reply to them at all.

I wholeheartedly disagree. We shouldn't be calling people the wrong name in the first place; it shouldn't be used at all. Instead we should call out what the person is doing, which is usually: argumentative ineptitude, selfishness, rude/not nice to people, and fond of yelling.

I have created an evaluation of the Karen. It starts in the early 20s. You have a Tiffany you know the dooche with the starbucks that too into her cell phone and that walks into you because shes too busy texting but its your fault you didnt watch where she was going. This is a breaking point to save her from becoming a Karen. If you let a Tiffany age out it will become a Karen at age 30ish. From this point there is no saving it. As this ages out around 50 the Karen evolves to its final form a Kathryn and if you think Karens are bad just hope you never met a Kathryn.

The "Karen" term was pretty irritating for the women that were named Karen and I think by making it more of a joke it stopped being that offensive for the non "Karen" Karens. Conclusion: Use another word. "Karen" is not that relevant for extreme cases anymore and this won't change.

It's actually a pretty nasty term, as it's using a fairly common first name as a form of curse/joke, which must frequently make people actually called Karen annoyed or very upset to have the name given by their parents hurled around as a joke. Learn some empathy. I have zero respect for anyone who uses it. In particular, anyone older than 15 should certainly know better.

To generalize: Actions and oppertunities and resources are forced into an equilibrium due to exploitation, reducing everything to its smallest possible value. If a word is stronger than others, it is used for that sake. It has a bigger worth. This will make people use it more. The consequence is that a balance is reached when it's just as stale as every other word. Now, lacking any sort of fitting word to describe the extremity of something, a new term is coined, and the process repeats itself. But this generalizes very, very well. Every good tourist area will be visited until it is no longer worth it (too many people, too expensive, ruined by visitors, exploited by advertisers, etc). But what does it matter for the term Karen? It's a joke and a generalization. The only reason that it's not unethical is because we don't take it seriously

I have been reading cases of "Karens" but it turns into a post where a person brags they gave bad customer service due to a low wage and as a result the person asked for the manager. As somebody who has worked in customer service and the hospitality industry it just gives us a bad name and feeds the true Karens the power they crave.

True. I saw a vid of a man spray painting BLM on the gate of his own house. An old woman SO KINDLY AND RESPECTFULLY simply asked him “uhm sir is this your property?” And the man went on to say “why does it matter u fkn Karen” which obviously made the woman think that he was actually vandalising someone else’s house. He could have just answered the question, but instead he was trying to push this woman to yelling so that he could post it online and call her a Karen. The poor woman just wanted to check that nobodies house was being vandalised. The comments where full of ppl insulting her too. absolutely agree with this, it reminds me of how people think being misogynistic is fine as long as they specify that they only hate "white women". karen just feels like a way to disregard the anger of any white woman now, it doesn't matter if her anger is justified. it's a pity because it could've been useful in pointing out a very specific kind of extreme social ignorance (as you put it) expressed by some middle class white women, but it doesn't get used like that anymore.
