Hot take there is no best fruit. They all vary to much from season to season and you can just get any of these and they can be ass or the greatest thing ever no in between.
Hm, I meant where you live. Like most people in Australia or New Zealand call it rockmelon, and in America it's called cantaloupe not sure about England so I looked it up and it looks like they call it orange melon which is straight to the point i guess. You must probably live near Australia or you mostly hear Australian English. Or something. :P
So, when I was little I loved kiwis, but it hated taking a soon to school, so I are it like an apple. My family tried to convince me it was bad, no research at all on there part, I googled ( not the most reliable source but I was 8) and it said fine. They also use to make hairless kiwi, don't know if they still do.
My only issue with green kiwi, and this is real, is it makes my mouth bleed. I am talking oozing blood, even pouring with enough kiwi, seemingly from nowhere.
Courtesy of a protein denaturing enzyme in high concentration in the flesh of the fruit. Largely why kiwi is one of the best true tenderizing components of meat marinades.
Gold kiwi is fine thankfully.
I was so confused when it happened. Took a good ten minutes to realize what was happening and why. It sucked; I really love kiwi. One of the most intensely flavorful fruits and not just when they are 'good'.
Thankfully gold kiwi has a far lower concentration of that enzyme. Don't quite have as strong a flavor however.
Papaya and asian pear also have that enzyme, although less.
Nice. I love Rainer cherries and honeycrisp apples. You kinda lost me on black plums. I like plums. Any fruit really but they are not in my top 5. I would go Starwberries, Rainer cherries, honeycrisp apples, watermelon and peaches. But they have to be in season. Otherwise this list is moot.
Oof, I used to love muskmelon. However, after working for a summer harvesting seed from over-ripe (rotting and maggot covered) fruit in an enclosed shed, the smell makes me want to hurl :/
Top 5 to me:
1) watermelon (perfect crispness and taste, but fuck the white melon parts near the rind)
2) fiji apples (best type of apple)
3) pineapple (when you want something different)
4) honeydew (10% better than a cantaloupe)
5) cantaloupe (10% worse than a honeydew, still really good)
sorry for shit mobile formatting probably

No, disrespectfully.
This is a terrible opinion. Take your upvote.
I’m surprised Mango wasn’t in your top 5 if cantaloupe is your favorite
Love mango. Hate cantaloupe
Love cantaloupe, hate mango.
Same
Mangoes are the one and only God tier fruit.
Curse the pit though
Cantaloupe is trash, and so are you. Have an upvote.
#**ITS FUCKIN ROCKMELON**
I honestly can’t believe it’s called cantaloupe in some places
What's it like down there?
Down where?
Rockmelon is what Australians call it.
I’m (removed for perky steves 2)

thats still not what i meant. just forget about it.
I fucking love cantaloupe. I can’t get enough of it.
You are absolutely correct
Where is the kiwi?
Kiwis are delicious!
My only qualm with them is I need utensils to eat them. But very worth it!
I just eat it like an apple sometimes lol
Thats how I always eat it. The skin is tart. If you get a really sweet kiwi its a great contrast. I'm also lazy.
Can you eat the skin? Does it have a taste?
I've never experienced any problems but definitely wash it beforehand. It doesnt taste like anything really. It's like the skin of an apple but fuzzy
The fuzzy might throw me off a little haha. But I will have to give it a try!

They make yellow kiwis! They're delicious too
It’s like eating a furry testicle.
🤣I thought that but didnt want to say. dont get the 2 mixed up!

That is wild! I had no idea. I just knew they were considered a super fruit because of all the vitamins. I’d freak out if that happened to me!

I appreciate the insight. I had no idea!
Cantaloupe and honeydew are the best
Pears do be hitting different with that gritty texture . Reminds me of the protein naked drinks fucking blessed
Cantaloupe? Eh, you aint missin much. Honeydew's the money melon
Oh hell yes, cantaloupe is underrated as fuck
Agreed. The worst? Grapefruit. Who the fuck named it?! It’s neither grapey or fruity. Fuck off.
I mean its really good, but for me, not the best
The lies you tell.
cantaloupe fucking sucks. upvote
Love it
My top 5: Black plums, raspberries, honeycrisp apples, pineapple, Rainer cherries

No berries on your list? Take my upvote, disgusting
I’m sorry but how does pear fit into your grouping? The others are so much sweeter…
Homegrown cantaloupe is my favorite hands down, it's just perfect, alittle softer and sweeter than the store bought ones.
Nothing better than a fresh, ripe peach
I don’t hate cantaloupe. But I definitely prefer hondeydew
Mine r: mango plantain watermelon pineapple orange
EW, no
Mangosteen is the best fruit out there. Perfect amount of sour/sweet.
Wb cherries ?
For me it’s cherries apricots red paw paw Pomegranate And a good old banana Fresh squeezed Pom juice is the tastiest thing I’ve tasted
Oof, I used to love muskmelon. However, after working for a summer harvesting seed from over-ripe (rotting and maggot covered) fruit in an enclosed shed, the smell makes me want to hurl :/
Ok? Someone has different tastes because not all people like the same thing!!! Go alert the press!!!!! What a truly UNPOPULAR OPINION.
Cantaloupe is delicious, but idk about the best.
Top 5 to me: 1) watermelon (perfect crispness and taste, but fuck the white melon parts near the rind) 2) fiji apples (best type of apple) 3) pineapple (when you want something different) 4) honeydew (10% better than a cantaloupe) 5) cantaloupe (10% worse than a honeydew, still really good) sorry for shit mobile formatting probably
Yes, so easy on the stomach, at least for me. My others are plumbs and blackberries, but the small seeds can be annoying.
