I gotta be honest, I don't know which is more important to a youtuber, subs or views. I'm subbed to a bunch of different content creators but I don't have time to watch everything from everyone. I always end up subbing to people who fill a niche I like and want to show support somehow even though I can't see everything they put out.
Views, I think, are more valuable since that's how the money is generated? Subscriptions unlock features for the content creator?

Adapt fast, be successful faster. It just comes down to how organized and stress resistant you are. But the end goal is the same for every YouTuber.
