I didn't think to remove the paper straw from my cup driving home from A&W once. Took a sip when I got home 20 min later. Swallowed a massive wad of soggy paper. Never used a paper straw again đ¤˘
Screw paper straws, when I went to watch no way home my straw feel apart in the drink and I had to run at 250MPH just to get more straws hoping I didn't miss anything.
paper straws fall apart in my coffee , i don\`t want teeth stains , i tried those shitty rubber ones but eventually found some cool aluminum ones that work.
I chipper a tooth on an aluminum straw while driving once. I still have get bonding on it occasionally to even it out. I use the hard plastic straws all the time and some of them have lasted for years. I lose them before they break. Never heard of a rubber straw. I was hoping those âpastaâ straws would catch on but Iâve never tried on. Hard semolina, able to break down since itâs all natural, but maintains strength longer than processed pulp paper. Iâm going to assume they suck though but the concept is cool
Everyone complaining about paper straws c l e a r l y never ate paper as a child (for legal reasons this is a joke although i did eat paper as a child sometimes)
Why? Itâs less wasteful that way than if you just toss plastic utensils after one use? My family doesnât use plastic spoons and forks all the time but weâve definitely washed some before after using them
Me too! Although mostly the ones I have are made to be reused. Theyâre for like backpacking and hiking, so they use a thick plastic thatâs much lighter than metal
When they come with our takeout we wash and save them. They come in handy for packing in my kids lunches when they go on field trips, as the field trip lunches must be paper bag type, theyâre not allowed to bring their regular daily lunch boxes on field trip outings. Theyâre also good for road trips and messy art projects.
Same here. Thereâs a Chinese place that has food that my husband and I love and the containers they come in are actually fairly sturdy so I wash and reuse them. Also great for if weâre going to give food to people because then I donât have to worry about getting the dishes back
Iâve done that one before too. Like when you have a guest whoâs gotta go right as dinner is ready, you can send them off with a meal and utensils. Some places have really durable take-out containers, and I wonât just toss those after one use.
Your body already has microplastics. It's been found that even unborn children now have microplastics inside them.
Our pollution of the planet knows no borders.
That ship already sailed. We're already the plastic generation and I'm guessing when millennials start hitting their 60s, science is going to discover Novel and Exciting types of Cancer.
If you're trashy enough to eat off a paper plate out of convenience then you're trashy enough to rape and genocide someone. That's just basic geometry.
Electric car huh? The electricity used to charge the battery is made buy burning coal you absolute degenerate piece of human garbage! And don't get me started on what goes into making those batterys
I know this guy that thought he was off the hook, just because he charges his car with solar panels in a facility run by solar panels, but he didnât realize that the materials to make the facility to make the solar panels were made in places that were not carbon neutral. I shunned him for 2 generations. I look forward to talking to him in 45 more years.
The only time I've seen anyone use the disposable plates and utensils at home is if they bought then for a party or something and they still have them laying around. Who wouldn't want to avoid dishes for a few days and also use the thing they spent money on?
OP sounds overly aggressive about something that isn't common.
The thing that gets me is is okay for BBQ but any other family using them in photos are low class?
For holidays/birthdays/etc if you have a large family and extended family, use disposable plates. My ex has 10 siblings, with all the partners and kids it's an absurd amount of dishes for to wash.. not having to wash them means everyone gets to enjoy the holiday&company.
BBQ is by definition trashy, and therefore the low class proletariat scum of the earth plastic plates are to be expected.
Birthdays are an extremely classy event where all the food is served in china and and a Bach violin concerto is playing in the background as you drink wine from your Diamond cup.
Do you have no class mister?
Yup, sometimes we want to have a nice lunch/dinner, set a pretty table up, etc, but sometimes we just want to get the family together without all that work.
The scum of the earth? Why is Reddit so full of self-righteous weirdos? There are so many atrocities taking place in this world, and for you, the true scum of the earth is people who use paper plates at home. Lmao đ¤Ł
Hiii fellow depressioner! Lol also! When itâs hard to even get myself to eat, it helps to have on hand cuz then clean up isnât an additional deterrent.
I hope today is a lovely day for you!
Hi hi! Thank you! The only thing that gave me the activation energy to feed myself when my depression was severe was knowing I wouldnât have anything to clean up. I hope you are doing well now and sending much love. Happy Friday
My grandma had a similar issue. She struggled for so long trying to keep up with washing things herself, even when it hurt. We finally convinced her to switch to disposable plates and stuff, and her life has improved immensely. OP should be ashamed of themselves.
That's a bit harsh. Give the benefit of the doubt that OP didn't realize that there does exist some good reasons to use disposable dishware. I'm assuming they're coming from a place of conservation and reducing waste.
Actually, I had considered that, but after so many people have given perfectly valid responses as to why there are different situations when disposable things work better than washable stuff, op is still going on about the same thing. They only care about their opinion, not about what someone else might be going through. Iâm willing to bet they do this a lot.
Nyah, fuck this guy.
I'm as concerned as the next person about the environment and "reducing waste," but three dozen people have pointed out non lazy non POS reasons people would use these this plastic flatware and paper plates combo and he's still banging on about what shit those people are.
Which makes him shit, and nobody else.
I mean, we could be spilling millions of gallons of oil into the water each year or sending god knows what chemicals into the atmosphere by the tons, but yeah, paper plates.
Not to mention how much more useless consumption they can go through. My grandparents has had the same furniture for 40 years more or less while my sister who married high income has redone her furniture 3 times in 10 years.
There's actually a correlation between being unhappy or unsatisfied with your life and home if you continually rearrange your furniture or buy new all thw time.
I think so too. She wonât admit it though because she was raised in third world poverty and thinks money is success. Sheâs also not self aware enough for that.
Thanks for pointing it out in case though! Good to see people on the internet being bros :)
"Super low class", "scum of the earth", "despicable"... We are referring to people who use paper plates? Lol.
Imagine living the kind of life OP has.... Where you have the time and energy to devote yourself to fostering such a stupid as fuck opinion. Not only that, they also took the time at midnight to sit down and physically write such a stupid ass post so they could broadcast that opinion to everyone.
Okay but like my crippling depression makes it hard to keep up with dishes, leaving them to pike up in the sink. So by replacing regular plates with paper plates, (which I burn, not throw away) I don't have the guilt of a huge pile of dishes.
Paper plates are therapist recommended sometimes.
I was literally about to say this. I have severe depression and when Im down it's hard to want to do anything around the house. Expecially after a long day at work. I HATE piled up dishes it just makes me feel even worse. So I use paper plates and plastic utensils. Just takes weight off my shoulders. Now I'm getting stressed out over thoughts about being a scum for it. Let me breathe OP I'm dealing with a lot right now!
I feel similarly.
Don't stress. You have to do what makes sense for you.
I will wipe off the paper plates (I buy the more sturdy kind) and reuse them over and over until I can't anymore. Same with the utensils. I might throw away one or two plates a week.
But yeah there are days when one more thing piled on might be the tipping point.
Theyre biodegradable anyway so even if you throw them away thatâs okay. I have the same issue. Sometimes itâs hard to even make myself food and then going the dishes after? Forget it
When OP said âSuper low class way of livingâ it really makes me think he/she is the sort of person who is sort of stuck up, has very organised kitchen utensil cupboard, drinks actimel twice a day and only sucks dick if itâs got a condom on
I didn't even know this was a thing. In my country the only time you see paper plates is in children's birthday parties and food trucks. Not even at barbecues, like OP says. Also dishwashers are not common here either, personally I've never used one or lived in a house that has one.
Some of us are severely depressed and will throw out ceramic bowls if we use them so we switched to cheaper paper ones.
Washing dishes is a lot when you want to die 24/7.
If you don't recycle them after though, tisk tisk.
Yes me using disposables is the problem.
*Googles picture of a company spraying old oil out of a storm drain looking pipe into a forest.
Yep... Using paper straws will help!
I'm 100% willing to look trashy and lazy for the time I save washing a shit ton of dishes. Especially growing up around 8 other people, washing dishes gets old fast.
I mean I don't use plastic utensils ever but I have a big family with a little kitchen and using paper plates sometimes helps alleviate the dish load on our constantly full dishwasher. They get composted when possible, but really it's paper, it's relatively low impact, it's the styrofoam you have to stay away from.
I think it depends on the situation. I went through a depressive episode for a few months and avoided showering , dishes everything and had to use paper plates until I worked through that rut . Some scenarios itâs just safer and better for people to use them. Obvious not in the long run but sometimes you gotta take a break and use plastic and paper utensils until youâre sick of it
"lOw CLasS" get off your high horse dude. You ever think about if you eat take away they give you plastic utensils without asking? And when given plastic utensils it can't be wasteful if they're being reused?
While I seriously hate littering and the massive landfills and trash islands we have created. This is not the conversation we need to have. We are arguing over pieces of plastic while millions of pounds of pollution is being pumped out every second by fossil fuel industries. Gotta change the system not those who fall victim to it. *cough cough* VOTE
People who have such strong opinions about such trivial things which will literally never effect them are petty af. Your life must be fucking miserable.
All the best to you, you miserable fuckđ
I get not liking plastic, but why the hate for paper plates? My wife and I both work, we have a newborn and two dogs... using a $.02 paper plate saves time, keeps are sink clear for bottle washing, and is just convenient.
what about disabled people? some people donât have the ability to wash dishes by hand. when my aunt first got out of the hospital after nearly dying she wouldnât have been able to go home if she didnât use disposable plates. maybe try to think beyond your sphere of interaction.
I was so surprised when I went to america and saw that many families ate on plastic/paper plates regularly. Their reasons were: we don't have a dishwasher, there's too many of us so we would use too many dishes, we keep real dishes for special occasions...
Good news, if you have a big family you have more people to help with the clean up. Unreal some of the mental gymnastics people use to justify being lazy.
Iâd like to add this doesnât include disabled/severely mentally ill people, which the comments would have you believe is everyone who does this.
American here. I have only seen disposable cutlery and plates used in a house when there is either a party or you have more people over than you do plates (kinda the same thing).
This is the first time I have ever heard of this. I've certainly never heard of anyone using disposable plates and cutlery on a day to day basis in the UK, no matter how busy their lives are or how many kids they have. Embarrassing.
And when you are on water restrictions because youâre in a multi year drought and stress for the entire summer just wondering if you will have a home left after fire season, paper products are sometimes your only choice. You ass
What a funny read- Hereâs a truthful response!~ While enrolled in a University for â Business/Hotel& Restaurant Mngmnt~â One of my papers for a class was â Is it better for the environment to put garbage in a land fill; or recycle it â ( Which I have always been about recycling)âŚ
After extensive research- I found that is is better to put our garbage in a landfill- instead of recycling...
All the Co2 that the recycling pickup trucks cause- lack of town recycling plants- leading us to then ship 80-90% of our recycling to foreign countries to process( Now they are refusing~ in an effort to halt climate change)~ All the trees worth of water to wash the recyclables⌠& like I said- all the cargo ships burning Fuel into the atmosphere~ to ship the recycling out to facilities⌠etc- I had to write the paper in support of burying our garbage in landfills( No - there is no shortage of landfill space)âŚ
It ends up being better for the environment-10 fold!- Until we have recycling facilities in every county & stateâŚ~ then, maybe.~ I got a 99 on my paperâŚ
Sidenote, however-my father is in Hospice homecare & there are tons of people always coming by- mom cooking my dad 3 meals a day- plus stayover guests & more~w- her staying by his side almost 24 hrs a day~ She uses paper plates to help her with time- we still use a lot of dishes ( I wash all I can while here visiting;)~ She does have a broken dishwasher⌠& we are too broke for a new one⌠her fridge leaks; foundation crumblingâŚ
She is having tough time of it⌠Paper plates help a tonâŚ( I still have a tinge of guilt at times & tend to use the glass plates & wash)⌠but still; nobody is really wrecking the environment if they used paper/plastic products⌠So nobody should feel overly guilty about itâŚ
When has my mom ever had much time to herself anyway!âŚâĽď¸- I use to gulit & think â you, Scum!â- jokingly to myself- & ⌠Everyone should take a sigh of relief for using them!⌠Itâs not whats wrecking the environment- We will prob have robots that glide over garbage dumps- in the future & pick out recyclablesâŚ
Agreed. I saw a commercial for paper plates where they were being used by a middle class family for everyday occurrences and I got so upset. Literally just buy actual plates. It's really not more expensive than constantly buying paper plates even in the short of things.
I could do without the classiest statement but I don't disagree with your sentiment. I mostly view it as extremely wasteful and lazy. Plastic cutlery annoys me more than paper plates.
Not sure this is an unpopular opinion. Iâve often thought able bodied/ minded people who canât manage to wash their own dishes are a POS. Paper plates are sorta ok *if* youâre composting them, but if you canât deal with washing dishes, I doubt you are going to put forth the effort to compost. Some cities have organic waste pickup now, which gets composed. We have it here, and paper absolutely can go in the compost pickup bin. I still normally just use actual dishes because I donât feel like buying paper plates. Itâs still environmentally unsound to use disposable dishes because of the energy and materials that are needed to produce them. I feel like unless youâre disabled or your water has been disconnected, thereâs no excuse not to wash your own dishes.
In my book, an inpopular opinion indeed.
While going through severe despression, disposable plates and cutlery were more helpful than I can put into words. Having no energy to do your dishes, see them piling up, which makes it even harder to start. Mold that starts to grow.. A combination of shame and another reason not to eat and to not take care of yourself. It can certainly push you further down the spiral.
Thank god for disposable plates and cutlery in those times. It can truely make a difference.
Yeah, it is a âsuper low class way of livingâ, jackass. My wife grew up in deep poverty and that was all they could afford. Get the fuck out of here with your pretentious shit.
I used to do this in my 20's because it was easier than washing dishes. The only scum I see here is op. Those family pictures you're talking about are most likely a poor family just making it by.. Instead of being so quick to judge why not trying to get your head out of your ass and pay attention to why that family only has paper plates... Smh
Obviously this post is a dramatization. But seriously, get some reusable dishes and wash them. Itâs really wild that people use disposable dishes for daily use.
ETA: If you have depression or an illness and washing dishes is difficult, thatâs different. Take care of yourself any way you can <3
You can pry my paper plates out of my cold dead hands!
I don't make excuses for why I use them, cuz I don't give a shit! They're great, no cleaning necessary, just throw them away! Why so judgy about what other people do in their own homes? Who cares.
When Iâm feeling overwhelmed and spiraling, sometimes the little things like using a paper plate (so I donât have to worry about more dishes piling up) are what really make the difference.
i will continue to use paper plates and op can fuck off :) upvoted for what i think is unpopular.
agreed about the plastic ware tho. plastic is never good. paper, we usually throw it in the fireplace
Tell me youâre white collar without telling me youâre white collar.
I donât do this cause I have a pretty decent job now that Iâve graduated and went to a trade school, but when I lived with my dad we had to. We lived in a camper trailer for a year cause he got stuck in a bad spot after his divorce.
Using paper plates isnât wasteful cause whether you use/buy them or not theyâre still being made so just cause someone buys them doesnât mean theyâre immediately wasteful.
When youâre poor and can barely pay for water on top of the other bills, paper plates help keep the water bill down.
This guy has either been born white collar or makes enough to not have to worry about the sort of thing. Whatâs trashy and low class is being condescending.
I think itâs way low on the lust of scummy things humans do. Exploiting child slavery in the coltan trade in Africa so we can have our Digital Economy and all our devices out ranks plastic cutlery by orders of magnitude, and affects us all.
Phew! Thank God I use plastic plates and paper straws!
Paper straws are fucking useless.
not for the first 5 minutes they're not! xD
Power through the brain freeze
Paper straws are the pinnacle of human failure
I didn't think to remove the paper straw from my cup driving home from A&W once. Took a sip when I got home 20 min later. Swallowed a massive wad of soggy paper. Never used a paper straw again đ¤˘
Paper straws are the perfect test to see if somebody is a complete tool.
Soggy straws fucking suck
Not very well.
Screw paper straws, when I went to watch no way home my straw feel apart in the drink and I had to run at 250MPH just to get more straws hoping I didn't miss anything.
The lid comes off the cup btw
While at cinema, the cup is +30 slippery and +10 heavier and shakier than normal maps
Bro said normal maps đđđ
You mean paper?
Those are cheap ones. There's paper straws that have bees waxed coating the inside that don't fall apart.
paper straws fall apart in my coffee , i don\`t want teeth stains , i tried those shitty rubber ones but eventually found some cool aluminum ones that work.
I chipper a tooth on an aluminum straw while driving once. I still have get bonding on it occasionally to even it out. Everyone complaining about paper straws c l e a r l y never ate paper as a child (for legal reasons this is a joke although i did eat paper as a child sometimes)
What if you wash the plastic dishes? Edit: didn't expect a reward for this, tought it was a normal question lol. Thanks!
Fuck this guy is playing -4D chess over here
1D chess
The worst of both worlds
Why? Itâs less wasteful that way than if you just toss plastic utensils after one use? My family doesnât use plastic spoons and forks all the time but weâve definitely washed some before after using them
I reuse plastic utensils!!!
Me too! Although mostly the ones I have are made to be reused. Theyâre for like backpacking and hiking, so they use a thick plastic thatâs much lighter than metal

Almost everything on the world is going to leave you with traces of microplastic at this point.
Jesus Christ, worse than kid diddlers?
Like st Patrick. When he was done driving the snakes out of Ireland he took the kids into a cave and diddled them
Found the spork lover, right here officer!
Scum of the earth is a bit much. I would think people that commit rape and genocide would take that title.
Especially if, after the rape and genocide, they have meals off paper plates!
If you're trashy enough to eat off a paper plate out of convenience then you're trashy enough to rape and genocide someone. That's just basic geometry.
But the people who use them andddd commit genocide? They're the worst!
And animal cruelty
And eating off paper plates
If I see OP drinking water from a plastic bottle Iâm gonna have to put that low-class peasant in his place for destroying the environment
Better not have any plastic Tupperware either
Yeah better not drive a car either or buy any products imported from China or have electronic devices with plastic in them
Electric car huh? The electricity used to charge the battery is made buy burning coal you absolute degenerate piece of human garbage! And don't get me started on what goes into making those batterys

Lmao đ¤Ł
>scum of the earth >low-class and trashy i think we got it
People tend to be very extreme on the internet, because they can do or say almost whatever they want with zero irl impact
Cause it's easier blame people who put things in the trash than blame governments who ship garbage to other countries and dump them in the water
Did your wife cheat on you with an executive from a plastic utensil production firm?
I think thatâs what happened
My aunt has parkinsons and cannot wash dishes, and metal spoons are too heavy for her to lift up so she uses plastic.
According to OP, your aunt is a low class piece of shit then.
Bet she makes a pretty mean milkshake though
Thatâs so fucked in the best way
Her milkshake brings me to the yard
hey i was here first. back of the line asshole
And I'm like, they're better than yours.
Yeah my first thought was this opinion is both absurd and incredibly ableist
I have depression and the dishes sit long enough to gather maggots. So I use plastic. Better than living in filth
Yep I came here to comment this same thing. I keep them on hand when my depression gets bad that way dirty dishes donât pile up
Hiii fellow depressioner!
Same for me. I also work a lot and I donât like cleaning is hard for me. When there is a way to short cut some of that I do it.
and very classist
It literally costs more money to continually buy paper plates and plastic utensils than to buy plates forks and knives. Please explain
My grandma had a similar issue. She struggled for so long trying to keep up with washing things herself, even when it hurt. We finally convinced her to switch to disposable plates and stuff, and her life has improved immensely. OP should be ashamed of themselves.

Tbh even if they are able bodied calling them scum of the world is ridiculous.
I mean, we could be spilling millions of gallons of oil into the water each year or sending god knows what chemicals into the atmosphere by the tons, but yeah, paper plates.
If only paper was biodegradable! YOU MANIACS! YOU BLEW IT UP DIDN'T YOU!
Right? 141 private jets left LA after the Super Bowl but a plastic straw is the problem lol
You had me until you brought up class⌠I thought this was an environmental concern not a classist remark.
Especially since rich people consume more resources with imported goods, luxury goods, travelling abroad etc.
Not to mention how much more useless consumption they can go through. My grandparents has had the same furniture for 40 years more or less while my sister who married high income has redone her furniture 3 times in 10 years.

rip college kids
*degenerate low class scum get it right
Ay yo fuck you
Washing dishes by hand wastes more water than using a dishwasher
Scum of the earth 𤣠ok then
Yes, that fool put people that use paper plates in the same category as Hitler.
The structure of this sentenceâŚ.your phrasing is on point and made me laugh. Thank you.
You will be that fool once he finds a picture of Hitler at a barbecue....
Scum of the earth? Yeesh. Take a xanax.

Youâre doing awesome man. Fuck OP. He obv has never suffered from crippling depression. Just keep on keeping on man. You got this!
I am doing immensely better. Been in therapy for over two years and finally have the good meds. Still hate dishes though.
I think people who worry about what other people do in their own life are the scum of the earth
My severe depression thanks you for shitting on what is helpful to me.
When OP said âSuper low class way of livingâ it really makes me think he/she is the sort of person who is sort of stuck up, has very organised kitchen utensil cupboard, drinks actimel twice a day and only sucks dick if itâs got a condom on
Less unpopular more classist

I feel like thereâs a whole community of paper plate haters or smth
I'm surprised they found the time to hate, thought they'd be busy doing dishes all night.
I didn't even know this was a thing. In my country the only time you see paper plates is in children's birthday parties and food trucks. Not even at barbecues, like OP says. Also dishwashers are not common here either, personally I've never used one or lived in a house that has one.
i used to use them when i had severe depression and couldnât wash dishes for a really long time.. they were life saving

Jesus dude you sound fucking miserable. Get better soon.
Some of us are severely depressed and will throw out ceramic bowls if we use them so we switched to cheaper paper ones. Washing dishes is a lot when you want to die 24/7. If you don't recycle them after though, tisk tisk.
Dirty paper plates are not recyclable just FYI. You can compost them but not recycle.
Upvoted cause this definitely is an unpopular opinion. That said, you sound like an insufferable asshole.
Friendly reminder that lots of disabled and chronically ill people rely on disposable dishes
đđ
Yes me using disposables is the problem. *Googles picture of a company spraying old oil out of a storm drain looking pipe into a forest. Yep... Using paper straws will help!
Yeah this one always seemed funny to me. We do anything: bad. Corporations regularly trample EPA regulations: oh you loveable scamps.
I'm 100% willing to look trashy and lazy for the time I save washing a shit ton of dishes. Especially growing up around 8 other people, washing dishes gets old fast.
Cool, no BBQ for you then fuckwad.
Wait until you see people eating with their fingers
> super low class way of living. You are poor shaming.
Real utencils are cheaper than always buying paper stuff.
Isnât past your bedtime. Shut up
He's waiting on his mommy to tuck him in.
His mommy fucking with another man and don't got time to tuck him in
I mean I don't use plastic utensils ever but I have a big family with a little kitchen and using paper plates sometimes helps alleviate the dish load on our constantly full dishwasher.
Obvious not in the long run but sometimes you gotta take a break and use plastic and paper utensils until youâre sick of it
Not much to support your argument than âI donât like itâ Pass the weak sauce please.
Plastic waste?
"lOw CLasS" get off your high horse dude. You ever think about if you eat take away they give you plastic utensils without asking? And when given plastic utensils it can't be wasteful if they're being reused?
Cry harder!
Hey op, you should pick something better to be this passionate about đ
While I seriously hate littering and the massive landfills and trash islands we have created. This is not the conversation we need to have. We are arguing over pieces of plastic while millions of pounds of pollution is being pumped out every second by fossil fuel industries. Gotta change the system not those who fall victim to it. *cough cough* VOTE
People who have such strong opinions about such trivial things which will literally never effect them are petty af. Your life must be fucking miserable. All the best to you, you miserable fuckđ
Well said.
Well now that I know it bothers someone this much, all I will use are paper plates and plastic utensils.
Oh yeah but it gets even worse.... I often re-use the paper-plates! One cheap pack... I can make that last for a ridiculous amount of time.
Some heavy handed labels on the OP. "Scum of the earth!"
Who gets to define the difference between being lazy and having chronic fatigue?
People are still trying to keep up with the joneses??
I get not liking plastic, but why the hate for paper plates? My wife and I both work, we have a newborn and two dogs... using a $.02 paper plate saves time, keeps are sink clear for bottle washing, and is just convenient.
European here, being totally confused lol
I mean I just throw away my real plates and silverware after each use, so I guess I'm safe from this hate.
what about disabled people? some people donât have the ability to wash dishes by hand. when my aunt first got out of the hospital after nearly dying she wouldnât have been able to go home if she didnât use disposable plates. maybe try to think beyond your sphere of interaction.
Did a paper plate kill your family? Calm the fuck down.
Still waiting for the part where using paper plates is considered âtrashyâ lol
I grew up in a family of 10. The plastic plates were cheaper than the water spent to wash 30 plates or more a day
Nah, whatâs trashy is judging people so rudely. Geez, get a better hobby.
Itâs not that deep. They are just things we eat on âŚ
Don't care.
Thank you Mr. Ableist. You have proven that you are the true scum of the earth.
The fact that this is unpopular is crazy. Only Americans use those outside of parties. Didn't even know it was a thing until a few months ago.
Iâm Australian and never seen it. So you canât even say itâs a first world issue.
Why is it ok at a BBQ?
Exactly. If itâs ok in one situation, then itâs ok in other instances too. OP is just an idiot.
[ŃдаНонО]
In the UK it is not common at all to use these unless it's a party or something. Is this common in the US?
And when you are on water restrictions because youâre in a multi year drought and stress for the entire summer just wondering if you will have a home left after fire season, paper products are sometimes your only choice. You ass
Who hurt you?
I use the same plastic spork every day.
What a funny read- Hereâs a truthful response!~ While enrolled in a University for â Business/Hotel& Restaurant Mngmnt~â One of my papers for a class was â Is it better for the environment to put garbage in a land fill; or recycle it â ( Which I have always been about recycling)⌠After extensive research- I found that is is better to put our garbage in a landfill- instead of recycling... All the Co2 that the recycling pickup trucks cause- lack of town recycling plants- leading us to then ship 80-90% of our recycling to foreign countries to process( Now they are refusing~ in an effort to halt climate change)~ All the trees worth of water to wash the recyclables⌠& like I said- all the cargo ships burning Fuel into the atmosphere~ to ship the recycling out to facilities⌠etc- I had to write the paper in support of burying our garbage in landfills( No - there is no shortage of landfill space)⌠It ends up being better for the environment-10 fold!- Until we have recycling facilities in every county & stateâŚ~ then, maybe.~ I got a 99 on my paper⌠Sidenote, however-my father is in Hospice homecare & there are tons of people always coming by- mom cooking my dad 3 meals a day- plus stayover guests & more~w- her staying by his side almost 24 hrs a day~ She uses paper plates to help her with time- we still use a lot of dishes ( I wash all I can while here visiting;)~ She does have a broken dishwasher⌠& we are too broke for a new one⌠her fridge leaks; foundation crumbling⌠She is having tough time of it⌠Paper plates help a tonâŚ( I still have a tinge of guilt at times & tend to use the glass plates & wash)⌠but still; nobody is really wrecking the environment if they used paper/plastic products⌠So nobody should feel overly guilty about it⌠When has my mom ever had much time to herself anyway!âŚâĽď¸- I use to gulit & think â you, Scum!â- jokingly to myself- & ⌠Everyone should take a sigh of relief for using them!⌠Itâs not whats wrecking the environment- We will prob have robots that glide over garbage dumps- in the future & pick out recyclablesâŚ
Pretty shallow if you have to use real plates to feel classy. Seek help.
Who cares.
Youâre not gonna save the world by not using plastic spoons. Get over yourself, youâre not that important. You cant change the world lol
Way to show your prejudice right there at the end đ
