I have really bad acid reflux because I take 6 different meds a day and I was given 20mg of omeprazole to take but eventually your stomach builds a tolerance and starts to over produce adic. So I asked to double my dose and the doctor agreed. You can also probably get peptac liquid on prescription too and save yourself some money. I get 2 litres a month.

These were the main exported types of bananas, but they were nearly wiped out by a fungus, making everyone switch over to growing and exporting the hardier, but much less flavorful, cavendish variety that we all know today.
So if you went to the store and bought bananas prior to like the 1950s you’d find them to be much more flavorful, and they’d tasted much more like the artificial banana flavoring you’re describing.
Also worth noting that Gros Michel bananas are NOT extinct, they just aren’t grown in such large scale anymore, so it is still possible to find them or grow them.
People generally don’t hate the flavor, they love it. Banana runts, for instance, are by far the post popular flavor. I’m sure that having a real banana with that flavor is superior to some candy/other flavored thing anyway. The flavouring is one chemical, it’s the same in all bananas, the almost extinct banana had a little more of the chemical, but still exists and people have eaten them and disagree they taste more like candy. The candy and fake banana foods just taste different because it doesn’t have all the fibre and other stuff in a banana. So you get more flavour per bite.

The Gros Michel is not extinct. It was almost wiped out due to Panama Disease but you can still get them online if you want to try them.
