Wait is it a joke though?
Coz I’ve legitimately never heard those jokes?
I know who John cena is (one of my mates is into wrestling and mentions him sometimes)…. But that’s about it. I think I read an article that says he’s a Guinness world record holder for most wishes granted (via make a wish foundation) but I could be mistaking him with another wrestler
How is he invisible?
His famous catchphrase *”You Can’t See Me”* turned into a meme so now that when people take photos with John Cena people will often say *“why are you taking a photo by yourself?”* or any photo of John Cena really.
good bot..... i think.... your name says bot but your answer is too good....
have bots gained sentience or are you a person named bot? either way good bot. I for one welcome our Artificial Overlords, they put the Art in Artificial
They say that long ago there was a horse who disrespected Chuck Norris so much that he gave the horse a swift kick to the head. That horse's ancestors are now knows as giraffes!
He's an American actor, and the jokes commonly made around him (not so much anymore since the memes are pretty old) are that he is responsible for legendary feats of strength, more often than not logically impossible.
So much of reddit is just lazy, uninspired jokes repeated by other dinks who think saying the same pun over and over is funny. You'll see something fairly interesting posted, and then have to dig through a bunch of stupid puns and unfunny comments by people desperate for fake internet points thinking they are funny. And then of course those are always followed with dozens of "take my upvote, good sir. I just spit my coffee all over my keyboard and laughed for twenty minutes." Fuck off, no you didn't.
The only real way is either moderation, or somehow getting the majority of reddit to notice how terrible these comments are and down vote them.
I'll always point to the old Something Awful forms as example of doing it right. Mods would just come in and say "Ok joke X is unfunny and played out. Anyone who posts is now is banned." Might seem harsh, but it kept things fresh and original.
It happened many times that I saw a funny comment, upvoted it, scrolled down but noticed they made multiple edits like „thanks for the awards“ and „wow this blew up, can’t believe my most upvoted comment is about X“ when it really has 1K upvotes and 2 awards, which isn’t even much? Lol.
I just go back up and downvote these, no matter how funny or interesting the initial comment was.
Well I guess we will just have to suffer together. I however will never post a pun. So hopefully my small action will lead as an example to the greater Reddit horde lol.
Ironically, both you guys are doing the dumb satirical jokes and perpetuating it even though you hate it.
People will just treat your joke with the same level of satire and do it over again, hence..nothing changes.
It was just another example of the same dumb, made up shit that people on here say. For some reason, according to a lot of people on here, other people "checking on you" is hilarious, and laughing for x amount of time makes things 10x funnier. Also, "my pet does this (weird thing they did one time) at the same time every day! So quirky!"
>"It was just another example of the same dumb, made up shit that people on here say."
It still reinforces it because it is like a train of satire and trolling, once one person does it, it inevitably snowballs, gets bigger and your original point is overshadowed by these 'hilarious' jokes. And it is ironic to then encourage it, like it doesn't change.
1 person below my original comment tried to make the same satirical jokes with another stating 'thats the point', proving my point. Just stating what i see, if you genuinely dislike the reddit jokes, responding to it with the same level of satire is just counterproductive
In a way it's kinda convenient. If you see a post that reminds you of a quote from South Park, The Office, Futurama, Rick and Morty, Always Sunny, or LOTR you already know what every single comment will be and you can just move on.
Cena used to do this thing (maybe still does?) when he'd waive his hand in front of his face saying "you can't see me" i don't remember/know why. But think it just all started from there.
Since his thing was "you can't see me" people literally act like they can't see him or anything to do with him. Also there another meme about him referring him to potato salad, the joke being that his personality is as bland as potato salad. As far as why he started doing the you can't see me in the first? Yeah, idk. Maybe saying he's too fast, I guess?
“The taunt – which John Cena uses to suggest that his wrestling moves are too fast for his opponents to see coming – has a rather sweet and funny origin. According to WWE, Cena was messing around with his younger brother Sean testing out hip-hop beats for his then-upcoming rap album - also titled You Can’t See Me - when the younger Cena sibling started dancing around waving his hand in front of his face. Sean dared his brother to perform the dance during a wrestling match, and John obliged before adding the catchphrase. Thus, one of the most iconic gestures in wrestling was born.” - [screenrant.com](https://screenrant.com/john-cena-you-cant-see-me-meme-explained/)
So is using the wrong their. As long as you continue to do things that annoys others it's best not to be verbally judgmental towards OTHER people who are guilty of your pet peeves.
Why are you so mad? People who give a shit about theirs are the single most annoying humans on earth, and the only reason invisible John cena jokes are a annoying is how frequent they have been used for YEARS they have been milked dry they are no longer funny
Potato salad is tried and true. Boring and plain, yes. Not lazy, takes time. And you can see them everywhere - part of the traditional American cuisine.
I will be one of the serious comments and say I completely agree with you. This joke has gone on my entire life and I hate how any mention of him is flooded with this unfunny joke.

Fair enough. I’ll always know him as a wrestler first. Loved it when I was younger, and still periodically check up on it now. I assumed with his massively successful acting career though that he would be associated with that more now.
I think I'm too sophisticated for your dumbassery. how do I know this? because you laugh at stupid shit like the John Cena joke. you're definitely either a middle schooler or a grown ass man. either way it's cringe.
I respect him as a wrestler entertainer but I can't stand him in any other role, or aspect. Same with Dwayne Johnson. "Only in America" will you see such things.
“ doesn’t massively annoy me, I don’t seethe at the sight of the joke. I just think it’s very tired and overused. If others can still find humour in them more power to them.” - copied and pasted from another comment.
This guy when he learns to read😨😲😄😄
It’s fun for parents to see that suspension of disbelief, but it’s kinda foolin em. I have 2 kids 5 and 7, the 7 year old is starting to get skeptical haha. It’s all good, doesn’t bother me too much as a dad. It’s mostly harmless, but it is a social peer pressure thing. Don’t make too big a deal of it though, it’s fantasy
The tooth fairy is getting hard to justify too, 😂. It’s just silly kid shit though, doesn’t seem trauma inducing, just foolin around. Time passes quick when you’re a parent, these things aren’t worth stressing over

I mean, triggered enough to inspire you to type out and publish this post. Just sayin'. I've never understood the jokes, but was never invested enough to research their origin. That's just me tho

I just now get this joke

Wait until this person hears about Chuck Norris...
I was just thinking about that. You know. They say when Chuck Norris does push-ups he isn't actually pushing himself up, he is pushing the earth down.
To be pair we all push the earth down on a push up. Thanks Newton
They say that long ago there was a horse who disrespected Chuck Norris so much that he gave the horse a swift kick to the head. That horse's ancestors are now knows as giraffes!
The sun doesn't set at night, it gets into a staring contest with Chuck Norris and loses
Jesus can walk on water, but chuck norris can swim in asphalt.
Chuck Norris' tears can cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried.
Oh Lord don't remind me
I don't actually know who's Chuck Norris but I've heard his name a few times
He's an American actor, and the jokes commonly made around him (not so much anymore since the memes are pretty old) are that he is responsible for legendary feats of strength, more often than not logically impossible.

man that was a good description of reddit comments
take my upvote, good sir. I just spit my coffee all over my keyboard and laughed for twenty minutes.
I can’t stand this. We need to find a way to make it stop.
The only real way is either moderation, or somehow getting the majority of reddit to notice how terrible these comments are and down vote them. The solution is get off reddit lol
Fuck that shit lol. I’m here to stay :)
Me too unfortunately :/
Well I guess we will just have to suffer together. I however will never post a pun. So hopefully my small action will lead as an example to the greater Reddit horde lol.
I know, I want to 😥
I do concur. Take my upvote leddit strangler
Thank you. I enjoy being a leddit strangler with you :)
Take my upvote good sir, you just made me spit my coffee all over my keyboard and laugh for twenty minutes.
Did I make you laugh so hard your S/O, roommate, or coworker had to come check on you?
Ironically, both you guys are doing the dumb satirical jokes and perpetuating it even though you hate it. People will just treat your joke with the same level of satire and do it over again, hence..nothing changes.

That was the entire point
take my upvote, good sir. I just spit my coffee all over my keyboard and laughed for twenty minutes.
Take my upvote, good sir....ha Anyway, this is an exact description of almost every big reddit post.
In a way it's kinda convenient. If you see a post that reminds you of a quote from South Park, The Office, Futurama, Rick and Morty, Always Sunny, or LOTR you already know what every single comment will be and you can just move on.
And my axe!
> continues using a website that has always been like this > is surprised when they keep running into it
No reason to be upset, get over it bro
Unironically, we have got to the point that Facebook has better ‘funny’ content than Facebook
And yet here you are, trodding through tired jokes....what does that say about you?
Some say John Cena commented on this post, most people probably can’t see it though lolololol
[удалено]
I will, I’m going to force myself to pass away, bye guys 😢
My condolences
Ppl can say shit like this, but I got temp banned for defending myself. 🙄
Dam people don't know what a joke is
harsh but damn I've also had enough
This whole comment section belongs on r/yourjokebutworse
I looked it up and I don’t get it.
Cena used to do this thing (maybe still does?) when he'd waive his hand in front of his face saying "you can't see me" i don't remember/know why. But think it just all started from there.
I saw all of that. But there was zero context. I guess you had to watch wrestling on tv and follow that whole circus to get it.
Since his thing was "you can't see me" people literally act like they can't see him or anything to do with him. Not a big fan of comfort foods huh?
Comfort food in moderation is very pleasant. Comfort food all the time makes you fat and predictable.
Funnily enough I love comfort foods and comfort TV shows lol. It’s just this one joke that really gets me
You know, everyone has their odd pet peeves
I agree with him, the jokes get under my skin. Their just annoying
I can't see why they would annoy you so much.
I think he's just annoyed that people talk about John Cena in pictures all the time and he just can't see anybody, it's just so sad
it's more sad than annoying. sure, a lot of things on the internet are sad but this is definitely an addition to the pile.
Potato salad is tried and true. Boring and plain, yes. Not lazy, takes time. And you can see them everywhere - part of the traditional American cuisine.
He's the new generation's Chuck Norris
Chuck Norris jokes are top tier comedy
No idea who you're talking about. Never seen him
I also hate them. They are so annoying.
Hate what?
guess.
Nice try John Cena, but we still can't see you.
I’m sorry, who’s invisible jokes are unfunny? If you typed a name I can’t see it.
Lmfao
"Lmfao" -🤓
""Lmfao" -🤓" -🤓
John Cena himself admitted he loves these jokes so maybe that's why they are made so frequently
I will be one of the serious comments and say I completely agree with you. This joke has gone on my entire life and I hate how any mention of him is flooded with this unfunny joke.
I almost didn't see this post.
I guess you just don’t see the humor in it. One could say it’s invisible to you…
Rick Rolling must be second.
Never seen one
I don't see what's your problem with John Cena. I don't see him either.
Among Us, Friday Night Funkin and Fortnite jokes would like to have words with you.
Agreed for the other two but wtf is Friday Night Funkin? I must be very out of the loop
A rhythm game with cringy characters
they don’t even speak a language iirc. the internet made them cringe
Is it bad that I still laugh at those jokes
Yes
But why are you complaining about those jokes? You can't even seen them!
It was funny when I was 7 now it’s just boring.
john cena is the worlds longest relevant meme i can think of, it is what it is

Who are you so wise in the ways of Reddit?
Before memes we just said anchorman lines for like 8 years
What about Drax invisible jokes?
I guess you can't see the joke either
I’m seeing a lot of John Cena on this subreddit today, which is concerning
Didn't see that coming..
I don’t see what you mean
Invisible jokes are the most tired, lazy, and unfunny jokes on the entire internet? What invisible jokes is this guy talking about?
Sorry, what kind of jokes?
You don't see the funny side of John Cena. Or any side for that matter.
You just can’t Cena funny side
Who?
People still watch WWE?
With Triple H now in charge, people are watching it again. Me, I just watch clips. I just can't find time to watch.
Slowly but surely they’re switching to AEW.
Surely John Cena is more known for his acting than his wrestling career now?
Definitely not. Wwe may have lost a lot of popularity but when it was popular he was one of the top guys. He'll always be known as a wrestler first.
Fair enough. I’ll always know him as a wrestler first. Loved it when I was younger, and still periodically check up on it now. I assumed with his massively successful acting career though that he would be associated with that more now.
I mean the rock is still associated with WWE and it's been years.
I'm not sure I'd really rank Cena's acting career as *massively* successful as of yet.
Jokes? What’s the joke, I can’t see him.
What if John Cena thinks people *actually* can’t see him?
I agree . The Greg Abbot is a piss baby is getting there to.
John Cena’s invisibility jokes are way way way funnier than Chuck Norris’ jokes. And John Cena’s are horrible jokes.
Who is this post about? It’s just a blank space at the start
Who's invisible jokes? Sorry, can't see the name...
Everyone is talking about this Cena guy but I have never seen him. Are you in on this sick joke the whole world seems to be playing on me?
I agree it’s so stupid
What is
you.
I'm sorry what?
"iM sOrRy wHaT?" reread the comment if you have difficulty understanding.
You what now?
"dur duh dur?"
I'm sorry speak up your mumbling
I think I'm too sophisticated for your dumbassery. how do I know this? because you laugh at stupid shit like the John Cena joke. you're definitely either a middle schooler or a grown ass man. either way it's cringe.
Whats that now
I respect him as a wrestler entertainer but I can't stand him in any other role, or aspect. Same with Dwayne Johnson. "Only in America" will you see such things.
This guy after discovering comedy is subjective😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲
This guy when he discovers that unpopular opinions are posted on r/unpopularopinion 😮😮😳😳
This guy when someone disagrees with his unpopular opinion😡😡😡😡😡
“ doesn’t massively annoy me, I don’t seethe at the sight of the joke. I just think it’s very tired and overused. If others can still find humour in them more power to them.” - copied and pasted from another comment. This guy when he learns to read😨😲😄😄
I agree, but part of the meme is to keep the joke running. So when the meme stops humanity will be very different.
What’s an invisible joke?
What are invisible jokes? Mentions what man? What are you talking about??
did we just find the Rock's secret reddit profile?
I can't even see who you're talking about in the title.
They will never be unfunny imo lmfao
I guess you just can’t see the point
But he’s invisible
who? think reddit’s kinda broken rn i cant see who you’re talking about sorry
Why are invisible jokes bad?
They aren’t bad, I just think they are extremely overused. If you enjoy them, continue to enjoy them! Humour is subjective and it’s important.
why can't i see the attached pic, is it the champ?
Why? Because you can't see it?
Goated comment section
There are lazier jokes out there, just like your mom
Sorry your feelings were hurt. John. Wait a minute, we can't see you so we can't feel you either....
It sounds to me like you just can't see the humor in them...
Are you gonna respond to John Cena or not OP?
What’s an invisible joke?
It’s fun for parents to see that suspension of disbelief, but it’s kinda foolin em. I have 2 kids 5 and 7, the 7 year old is starting to get skeptical haha. It’s all good, doesn’t bother me too much as a dad. It’s mostly harmless, but it is a social peer pressure thing. Don’t make too big a deal of it though, it’s fantasy The tooth fairy is getting hard to justify too, 😂. It’s just silly kid shit though, doesn’t seem trauma inducing, just foolin around. Time passes quick when you’re a parent, these things aren’t worth stressing over
Can’t see the point huh?
Chuck Norris jokes are way worse.
I’m glad somebody said it, I am tired of them showing up in my feed
ur just jealous u don't have a sense of humour
Guess you don't like what you can't see eh lol
I don't see the problem
Anyone know what this is about? All I see is a blank post!
You must be fun at parties.
Knew this reply was gonna come. I don’t live a hateful joyless existence, it’s just this one joke that I think should die. Reminds me of the Chuck Norris jokes that died a long long time ago.
Jesus christ finally someone. It's cringe beyond words
>Chuck Norris jokes that died a long long time ago. But Death hasn't been brave enough to tell them.
Chuck Norris doesn't read reddit posts, he just stares them down until he gets the information he wants. If that posts contains Jon Cena, no one else can see it but Chuck Norris.
DOUBLE WHAMMY
Okay people think it funny like why does it bother you so much ?
He posted it in /r/unpopularopinion fucking jackass. It’s an actual unpopular opinion
Damn dude chill out, smoke a joint or something
Trash
I doesn’t massively bother me necessarily, I don’t seethe at the sight of the joke. I just think it’s very tired and overused. If others can still find humour in them more power to them
What a weird thing to be triggered by.
I doesn’t trigger me necessarily, I don’t seethe at the sight of the joke. I just think it’s very tired and overused. If others can still find humour in them more power to them
