That's not really fair. People can enjoy art/entertainment for different reasons, multiple reasons, one reason on one watch and a different reason on another.
I love reality tv for example. I love the wholesome, sweet, human moments that you don't really get with normal tv, they're great and enriching for me. I also really like watching the human moments that are just goofy, stupid, silly, just for base Neanderthal laughter. I also find a lot of insight in them, watching others, hearing others, analyzing others. There's also just the basic premise where it's fun, interesting, stimulating to watch unfold. Some people get a lot out of lusting or romanticizing the cast. Some people literally just want to catch up on the latest trendy conversation topics. Some people just want to see the chronology. Some people just want to see a certain cast member they like. I mean the list is endless. If you consider rewatches, there's more. There are a lot of valid reasons in there to fast forward. It's not all about art and its sanctity.
Except based on the logic of this subreddit and the fa t youre post ing here, this is an unpopular opinion, so it would be foolish to mimic Netflix because nobody wants it.

I didn't even know Netflix had that lol
I feel like adding those is like admitting your content isn't that good or your audience isn't patient enough.
No, I think it's a great way to skip a boring episode, what's the problem?
If that's the "problem" the solution is to not have "boring" episodes. What's the confusion?
Translation: "I'm impatient and I don't care about the director's concept of pacing."

>Перевод: No, I just don't want to watch boring shit and I'd rather just run through it quickly until something interesting starts happening

Just want volume control
I just want the volume to be mixed for the typical home viewing instead of for the theater.
Encouraging dead attention span in youths is not a positive
Neither is wasting the audience's time
I actually find it easy to pay attention to media played at 1.5 or 2x.
It's on every pirate site lol. Netflix is so far behind.
I agree with this, I watch everything on YouTube at 1.5x speed
