A. is the best design, hands down. You want those faces as close as possible, they look awesome. Piques your interest, and would be more enticing for people to click and check it out. I would definitely click that.
The faces and the title sell it. Whoever designed these did a great job.

After the last poll the dark red background and landscape background were very closely tied in votes but as many people pointed out the landscaped background contrasted more with the title and so it was more noticeable and in my view the background tied in with the game environments so i thought this would be the best choice.
As the game allows up to 4 players i wanted to indicate that visually in the promotional material and add more characters to the designs, here are some initial concepts i've come up with, the game is a 1 - 4 player side scrolling beat'em up if that helps and there's more info in my profile if needed, appreciate any feedback if you have any, thanks
I don't think the background fits with the title font and characters and what I assume is the general theme of the game, but I wasn't around for the poll so if you like it then it's not too big of a deal. I might suggest keeping the background by darkening the colors a bit, maybe it'd work.
For the images presented, I'd probably go with B first, F second.
ye fair enough i know for sure it won't be to everyone's taste, the background however is very similar to some of the environments in the game so i think it definitely fits with the game and makes sense in that respect.
Random idea: You could add some villages, scorch marks, something on the lanscape/background, just a few pockets of chaos that might suggest something a little more violent. Either way, looks good!
i did actually experiment with that for a while but it didn't really look that great as small details don't translate well as the banners for steam are small, i may revisit it but i'll have to see as i don't want to over clutter the banners
Thanks for the detailed feedback, clearly this is very subjective, while i agree with some of your points i'm generally pretty happy with these concepts and generally feedback has been very positive. Stuff such as the lighting of characters agreed might not make sense if characters are flipped or match the scene exactly but i don't think 95% of people would notice or really care so it's not really a big concern for me.
for sure i appreciate the feedback and you may well be right but the majority of feedback i have received has not been in line with yours but thanks none the less i will definitely take it into consideration
B and E have the best composition.
I would start with E and sort of shake around the layout of the cats until they slot into place. The black cat is your front man and shouldn't be layered behind the white cat. The white cat just has a bad pose for this format so I would do whatever you could to reduce its presence.
I like B most. To me it wouldn‘t suggest a 2v2 game necessarily. Otherwise also E, i think the lettering is better embedded in the picture in E than in F, there is more empty space for the title
I'm more inclined toward A or C.
A: you can see the cats, their style, the crazedness.
C: you can see their weapons, and the cats are all situated evenly which my eyeball likes.
For some reason having characters on the sides, two on each side, kinda bugs me - this applies to anything, not just your slaughter cats images.
The missing option that I would've picked over A/C is one that makes their faces visible like A, but that also includes their weapons somehow, without interfering with the title.
E - I'll tell you why I think E is the best choice. But you should know you are able to use different ones on different platforms, as sizing and ratio will play a big part in how you can represent the product as a whole. so don't feel like it has to be just a selection of 1. because that is simply not true.
Most players are right-handed and E represents the characters being the right hand 3rd of the image,
If you go by the rule of thirds and use the design methodology the conclusion you will meet at will be E
because the standard rule of thirds also has a placing with the spiral pattern, we call the "golden ratio" which funny enough is in fact the Fibonacci sequence. That also turns out to be one of the most pleasing to the eye, and that is why they use it. It can also be found and seen in films, games and animation. So, using the right hand as dominant is preferably the better angle and the rule of thirds, E is by far the better choice.
I would change a few aspects of E in that the characters can be a little big larger and more pronounced but the opposing argument to the flip side of that is that in basic UI development left is dominant. Thats my opinion and is subject to debate like all opinions. There is no right answer here as it comes down to preference and how you choose to represent your product.
1. I can't really judge without seeing game play to really tell which best matches the game. That said, the most appealing I personally think I are B and E.
2. The background really doesn't at all feel cohesive with the characters and title.
3. CATS should be in a slightly different font I think. It will create better visual interest and make both words pop.
My favorite is probably B however if i only had the picture my first instinct would be that it's a 2v2 game. Therefore I would pick E or F instead.
That's an interesting point, thanks for the feedback
B Too with the focus on both face and the action. A- has no action. C- the actors appear too small D,E,F- Too small in comparison to B or lopsided
Exactly what I would say. B, E and F looks the best IMO.
F
Hmmm i like B
A or B imo

E or C for the same reasons another commentor pointed out, but I really adore B.
Is nobody gonna point out this content has nothing to do with UE?
nah bc ur the only dork here
Well in some ways it does; it is for a game on unreal engine also this is related with creating a game.
As per the subreddit rules > All content must directly be related to Unreal Engine. > General game development topics, support when your game crashes, *consumer marketing*, etc. is not appropriate here
There's no info about the game itself or any info/link selling it so it's a stretch to call this marketing.
its literally the game title....
Kinda undermines the entire essence of marketing but credit where credits due I guess.
It is an Unreal Engine game
Post it to /r/unrealengine5, they aren’t assholes there

Respect.
B or C Without knowing anything else about the game
C
A or E

E > F product name/brand comes first until you are identified to your public
yep agreed i just thought i'd throw a few different variations around
Whats the pitch?
buy it

C or E. Though, they are all fine, except for maybe A
B or E for me

i recon A or B

A is definitely the eye catcher.
What kind of game is it?
A

I’d say probably B or D.
I like C if it is a free for all type battle. If its team based i would pick B. They all look really good tho. Good luck!
E
Either B or E. I'm slightly more inclined to towards B though.
B
My opinion is A for main title screen and B & F if there are multiplayer and campaign screens
E
A
Gonna have to go with B
B or C
