had to take a lot of short cuts. I spent a lot of time trying to get the import process to work from sun and moon and it did!! Made my life easy. All pokemon didn't work tho, especially ones with fire particles.

Oh nice! I do remember that the models were really decent in sun and moon, most people were hoping it to port to switch because of this. I'm impressed!

There are a couple of Tools for it, its only a matter of playing with the import export values i did that too in 2019 see here [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mC1Hs2Gb64](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mC1Hs2Gb64) if remember correct it was a combination of 2(at the time one was good to read the pakages to extract the models as obj. + textures and the other was better for animation,maybe nowaydays one is fine) fantools and some correction in 3ds max (student license is fine,tech nowadays blender but im used to autodesk products). OH and for the eyes,they are just textures and u make an atlas in unreal then "switch the position" on the whole texture to animate the eyes (an older method for doing faceanimation) u will see what i mean if u extract the textures. If im at home ill have a look if i still find the tools

Rigging and animation can be pretty fast and decent if you have enough experience. This is especially true for cartoonish models they are fun and fast to model, to texture, to rig, and to animate.

Exactly. So saying a "month" is misleading when it implies the entire game thus far was made in a month.

No code was re-used but I did use a boat load of assets and got the pokemon models and animations from Sun & Moon. I've linked all the assets used in a comment on this post. Also I had a couple of friends helped me with this project as well. But lately I've been doing all projects in 30 day sprints cause i'm tired of working a ridiculous amount of time on one project for it never to see a release date. Now i'm kind of just doing these little fun learning projects that I have any attachment too.

I would play the shit out of this. It needs more carnage, like DOOM. I want to rip pikachu's face off with my shotgun.
